New school new beginning.

   Felix, after having fallen into Daniel's hands, pushed himself as he rolled onto the floor. Daniel bent down after him and used his tight pin on the floor." it was just a joke, why are you tripping, he said and leant his hand to Felix. Felix got up and told him he has been trying that kind of thing so it was only natural for him to be suspicious. They got all the things they needed and left the shop. Back in the café, Felix went on to serve the customers as usual and things went on smoothly. Henceforth, the night came, the shop closed and everyone went home.

  The next day it was raining heavily and Felix couldn't ride in the rain thus decided to go after the rain had ceased. Suddenly he heard the honk of a car just by his apartment. He checked to see and surprisingly it was Daniel. He called him up and when he picked up his phone, Daniel told him to come over; he was heading for a celebration that was located close to the café and he wouldn't mind dropping him over. And for the very first time, Felix felt grateful to him the moment Daniel gave him a ride. The café was unusually quiet today so Felix took the opportunity to have a little conversation with Monica since they hadn't talked for quite a while.“Hey, missing me?”, He humorously.“Nah, never and you? the other time you seemed you couldn't get my name outta your mouth" replied.“Oh yeah, …the other day, the day Daniel was harassing me, yeah, why did you sound so  unbothered when I told you to act like my girlfriend?" Felix asked, dismayed.“Listen here alright, I don't even know what I did to let my guard down for a kid like you to be speaking to me this way in the first place. Nevertheless, How could I date you when you are way below my age? I'm twenty-eight meanwhile you're like a teen and what do you expect? You know, I did us both a favour; Daniel wanted some personal information of yours in return for a huge sum of money and I got the cash while you got yourself a rich caring boyfriend. And by the way, he is also a lot younger than me, twenty-three, so I thought it was ok, I mean young people belong with young people, right?"Monica retorted.“Hold up; in the first place, I never said we should date and if you couldn't get the deal done you should've told me instead of making me look foolish calling on you. And also and shall I make it clear, I don't have anything to do with Daniel, can't you even read expressions, why would you want to pair me with someone I openly reject"Felix remarked.

But never mind, Felix said calmly, I've already made up my mind to leave working here. Monica chuckled, ``What's wrong?" said Felix .“Nothing, nothing, I hope you get what you want then" Monica said, still chuckling. Felix moved up to the counter where Stephanie was seated and told her about receiving his salary tomorrow, just to make sure of nothing else.“No, wait; Daniel will be the one to pay you since he's the real owner here, I'm nothing but just the manager. I do orders too, so if he asks you to come to collect it from me, I'll surely do so.“Oh really! no need then,” Felix said awkwardly. The following day was payday, just as Felix had calculated. He went to work early and got on with his work. Soon Daniel walked in and Felix tried to approach him but Daniel unnoticing rushed to the office.“Well, I guess I gotta remind him today is payday or…..no, no, no need he might already know that today is my payday."Felix said to himself. But as time passed by it was getting to the afternoon and shortly after it was night. Felix finished cleaning all the tables and when he turned Monica and her sister were starting to leave.“Can you guys do me a favour and wait for a little while as I go and get some stuff and come back real quick" Felix pleaded.“You're going for your salary right? Monica asked.“Yeah, you're right," he answered.“Then just go in and get it, why are you acting like the boss is gonna eat you alive."Stephanie remarked.“Hum!… Sis, can we just wait for him just like he asked?"Monica said in agreement with Felix.“Ok, Stephanie said and they went and sat on the couch and waited for him.“Thank you guys very much, Felix said and left for Daniel's office. 

       ‘knock, knock, knock.“Excuse me, sir, Can I talk to you? Felix questioned as he continued to knock on the door. Finally, after getting no response, he opened the door slightly and entered the room.“Sorry, I thought you were sleeping so I came in," He said.“You knew you could have come in right," Daniel replied. Then Daniel stood up and went towards the door, towards Felix's direction. Felix raised his hand to cover his chest and jumped back. Daniel stopped and looked at him, smirked and nodded his head.“You're the only one who knows what you're thinking in your head right now, but as you can see, I got no bed here" Daniel said and shrugged.“Would…would you rape me if you had a bed?"Felix asked, frightened.“Do you really wanna know?"Daniel asked and got closer to him. He put his mouth close to Felix's ears and whispered, ‘maybe’. Felix gave out a loud pitched scream and the girls came rushing into the room.“What happened, Stephanie asked, looking like a worried mother.”He's just being overly sensitive," Daniel replied.

Stephanie came and stood close to Felix with her arm wrapped around his neck.“The kid wants his salary, can we give it to him and just leave, it's getting dark out there already.“oh! right, Daniel agreed. He gave the money to Felix and told him he'll see him the next day. Felix didn't turn to even look at him and said bye.“Hold on, Daniel said to Felix. I'm seeing you tomorrow right?”.Felix didn't utter a word and looked at Monica.“Don't worry your kind friend over there said nothing, I just figured out as you came in here that you might as well never step foot in this place again. I mean, it's quite obvious when you look at all that has been happening lately." Really! Stephanie said in disbelief, and you didn't even bid me a see you never again goodbye.“Actually, I was going to tell you about it after I had come and collected my salary, "Felix objected.“I wouldn't decide to leave this café if I were you though.” Daniel answered.“He's right though Felix, you've been doing ok and the salary is good too, isn't it?” Stephanie butted in.“Can I go home already, look, it's getting dark.

        “I'll drop you all at your houses, come, let's get going.”Daniel offered.
