Angel would never reveal her true nature, Auriane doubted if even her mother knew that the angel she was raising actually wasn't one. But she wouldn't be surprised if Stella actually knew, afterall, Angel probably took over from her.
It was just that, the apprentice had probably surpassed the master in every aspect, no one could match the incredibly cunning Angel. But it wasn't decided if her achievement could last longer. Even if she was a cunning fox, she wasn't less a mortal, she might only have a single tail wagging behind her.
But what if she could be outmatched by a nine tail Foxe?
Auriane was confident about herself, afterall she had lived two lives, in her first life she helped Angel to be successful, but now that she would no longer be her pillar but build a pillar and armores for herself, couldn't she call herself a more powerful Foxe. However, she could only count a single tail behind her, until she had achieved something greater would she consider herself a nine tail fox immortal.
By then, even if Angel grew more tails, she would never be able to be her match.
"Ouch!"
A soft voice screamed ahead of her, pieces of papers had been scattered to the ground, only then had she noticed a girl about of fourteen holding her head in pain.
She woke up early to jog in order to build a stronger body constitution. She hadn't taken account of time because she was too immersed in her thoughts, but with the appearance of a girl bumping into her, she guessed she might have been out for quite a while.
No wonder her body had become extremely sore.
She ignored the soreness of her body and picked up a piece of paper that flew by her side after the girl had bumped into her. It was actually a paper of a math equation for grade eight students. Though it seemed to have been decades since she held a grade eight equation in her hand, the answers and calculation surged in her mind and she already had the answer in mind.
Math had always been her forte, but she didn't expect that she was still good at it even after being reborn, but her knowledge seems to have increased due to her past life experience.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to bump into you. I thought had been too careful, but definitely can't admit that Serge was right, though I admit that I was kind of wrong, I shouldn't have worked on this test equation while walking. But I really thought it was the best way to get a completely grasp everything, who could have thought..."
From the beginning of what looked like a single person discussion the girl had never stopped talking. Auriane had even asked herself if she took time to breath, but of course she didn't find the chance to ask her or get to know her name.
But the girl in front of her did look a little familiar, with her large azure eyes and her short shoulder length black hair. She was dressed in blue jeans and a black off shoulder long sleeve top, with white tennis shoes. Her slightly plump but attractive lips never stopped moving but Auriane didn't pay much attention to what she said.
She silently picked the papers that had dispersed on the ground and still the girl that bumped into her hadn't stopped talking.
"I'm so sorry, it was my fault to trouble you, but it was definitely the fault of this stupid equation, I still don't know if I got the right formulas..."
Paying very little attention to the girl who never stopped blabbering Auriane picked up the fountain pen that had rolled over and in less than five minutes she scribbled something on the girls paper and handed it over to her, but before she could lift her lips to say anymore Auriane had cut her off.
"Your formulas were all correct, if you follow what I've scribbled you can get the right answer, it safer and a better short cut."
Her words were simple, short with no arrogance or an impression of showing off her good skills in front of a talking parrot girl. The girl gasped as soon as her eyes met with what Auriane had done in her papers. It took her barely five minutes and even more comprehensive compared to her cousin who had been nagging her around.
"Wow, this is amazing, how did you...?"
The girl paused the moment she realized that Auriane had just left. She only only perceive her slim figure getting further away from her, but she didn't even know the name of the girl she had encountered. She was about to follow her, but the high pitch but soft voice of her cousin caused her to halt.
"Stacey, what are you doing on the main road, cars might not pass here often but we're still in the neighborhood, so you can likely bump into one."
The face of a handsome teenager with screwcut showed up. He was tall, slender and measured at least 1.62m barely 5centimerd in difference to Tracey who was still focused at Auriane's disappearing back view.
"Serge, do you know that beautiful girl who just passed just now?"
Stacey ignored the Serge's worried questioning tone and maintained her focus on Auriane who had stopped in front of their yard where she met with Nora. Serge also followed her focus towards the girl who had taken her sister's focus and she wasn't a stranger to him. But he was just not familiar with her, he barely heard from her friends that she was naughty and arrogant. She was definitely not approachable and no one wanted to be friends with her.
"So, do you know her?"
"I'm not familiar with her, but we're in the same high school."
"Wow, so she's gonna be my class mate " , Stacey asked with excitement and handed the papers that had Auriane's exquisite handwriting. It was so clear and perfect that Serge would have doubted the owner and taken that it was an adult's writing if his cousin didn't have a bad response in math as well as her rough handwriting.
She had solved the equation in simple terms, but it was even better comprehensive compared to his explanation. He admired the girl's intelligence, but he wasn't impressed by her because of the bad things he had heard about her. His cousin was a friendly and emotional girl, but she was also extremely sensitive, it would be best if he didn't give her hopes to one day befriend a girl like Auriane who wasn't even approachable by her class mates.
''She's so cool right, how good would it be to have her as a friend."
"Keep your hopes down, she's not your reach."
"Huh, what are you even saying, I might be short but she's actually of the same height with me.", Stacey replied innocently looking up at her cousin who was taller than her. He facepalmed himself looking at his silly cousin who never seemed to grasp understanding of every situation. He couldn't help but feel even more bothered about her.
"Stacey, make an effort not to be so silly, ok."
Stacey didn't understand why her cousin would say such a thing, so she pestered him for an answer that took her away from Auriane's line of view, ignoring what he had just said.
"Tell me why, she's really pretty and she's so cool, don't you freaking deny it...."
Serge definitely had no intention of admitting to something so obvious. He would lie if he said she wasn't beautiful, but as for being cool, it was still to be decided and needed much more observation.
Serge pulled his cousin allong with him, but he still turned to look at Auriane who had just received a towel from her sister. Her expression was warm and gentle, but it seemed distant.
