Elder Cousin, You Look Pale

  How could it be possible that Auriane knew what had happened when they were at the capital city. She wasn't even present so she couldn't testify and no one could testify at present either.

At least, Cindy had thought with a relief, she was sure that no one could serve as a witness to pull Nora out of the abyss. She was cautious and hadn't given an opportunity for many witnesses to testify, the only witnesses that could testify should still be at the capital city and there wasn't much that they could help with.

Being sure that she had already won and the little girl in front of her was barely threatening her with empty words. Cindy arrogantly played with her locks and sneered at Auriane.

So what if she actually knew, could she prove it. She couldn't even bring herself as a witness, so there was no way she could save Nora at this moment. Cindy grinned and glared arrogantly at Auriane who didn't even pay attention to her after causing a rush of heat in her body.

'Damn annoying brat, wait and see how I deal with your sister.'

Little could Cindy imagine that Auriane had already guessed each of her moves and thereby prepared to block every bullet that would be aimed at her sister. She glared at Cindy, causing her back to stiffen a little and she unconsciously stepped back.

"Elder cousin, you look pale?", Auriane said casually after noticing Cindy's pale complexion.'

'It turned out that she could also be afraid?'

Auriane sneered and fixed her cold gaze on Cindy who no longer dared to look, so she quickly retracted her gaze.

"What are you talking about, I'm just worried about Nora, she did something so shameful and now she's with a stranger's child."

She was worried? Auriane definitely couldn't believe words from a viper who didn't blink when selling her sister to a stranger.

   The viper in front of her was the one who drugged and locked her sister in a room to be ganged raped by some rogues. Her sister might have contracted some disease from those guys or even worst, died in the process. But she didn't and it wasn't thanks to Cindy, but thanks to the unfortunate fate. The guys who had to gang rape her sister were caught up by something so they never came. But still, Nora was taken advantage of by a mysterious man.

Auriane was only able to know about this part of the story when she had investigated in her past life, but as for the identity of the man who took advantage of her sister that night, it remained a mystery. Maybe it was a passerby who got into the wrong room and took her sister for a blue movie girl.

But Auriane was sure of one thing, Cindy also had no idea who the other party was, she only knew that her plans succeeded in one sense and she had to put everything to execution.

"Elder cousin, I'll like to ask you a question?"

"What!"

   Cindy exclaimed and even her calm expression couldn't hide the panic in her voice. She couldn't believe the panic she had because of a child who was barely five years younger than her. Others might not know why she had panicked, but she knew why. Once Auriane's ever green eyes had met her dark eyes she couldn't help but shudder.

What did the annoying brat want to do?

   She would be lying if she said she didn't feel anything about the question that was about to be asked. She had never felt so nervous even in front of a question paper, maybe because she knew that she could obtain answers from Nora.

But just now Auriane hadn't posed her questions, but she was stroke by the huge feeling of a police interrogation. However, she didn't lower her head, she stood firm and looked at Auriane who hadn't quit observing her.

"What do you want to ask?"

"Relax elder cousin, my question is quite simple."

Relax? That was obviously an insult to Cindy who felt that Auriane was sneering at her. She looked so confident, as if everything was in her palm, but why?

Cindy would never had imagined that the moment she agreed to answer Auriane's question she served as a witness to prove Nora's innocence.

She definitely wouldn't never had thought that the plans that she built with great effort with her own hands would end up in ruins by the same hand that built it.

"We all know that sister and you lived in the same dormitory in the capital. Besides many of our neighborhood children who aren't yet back can testify that, right."

Now that she said it this way, how could she refute it, they weren't the only teenagers who went to school at the capital city. Though the number was indeed negligible and insignificant, how could she refute that she shared the same dormitory with Nora. So Cindy could only acquiesce and reply sincerely after a sigh.

"You're right, but I don't see what that has got to do with ..."

   Cindy immediately paused when she had realized her mistake. She didn't know what Auriane was trying to get from her question, but now that she got it, how could she not understand.

"Elder cousin is smart indeed, you got the point even before I had to proceed."

"Auriane White, what are you trying to do, even if you love your sister, you can't blame others for her crimes."

   Stella who started becoming restless at the pace at which everything was going immediately cut in like a flood and rushed to stop Auriane. But Auriane wasn't affected by her nagging, she could nag as much as she wished, she wasn't scared and she wouldn't fall back like she did in the past. If in the past Stella's heavy words stroke her like lightening, then she would strike harder.

"Aunty your point is that sister should be condemned without proper investigation."

"What is there to investigate, isn't her pregnancy an accablant prove, do we need to investigate any further. She should have known that such things can never be hidden."

"Then what if sister was forcefully violated."

  Just as she had said, Auriane indeed stroke a sour note on Stella when she least expected. She sounded calm, as if she already had the truth in hand. But how was it even possible, her niece had clearly told her the plan was flawless. Besides, this little brat wasn't even present, so how could she know the truth. After glancing at Cindy and confirming from her silent explanation that they were safe, she turned back to Auriane and sneered.

"Of course if she was violated, then she would be a victim, but what makes you think she was a victim?"

"I don't dare claim it by myself, but I believe Cindy is aware of a lot."

"What are you trying to say, do you think it was my fault that your sister got pregnant for a wild man"

"Yes, I think so."

   Auriane declared coldly, causing blood to rush in Cindy's body when she glared at her. She knew that if it was possible Cindy would have shredded her into pieces. However, because of the image she was trying to build, she could only swallow her temper.

On the other hand, Stella didn't hesitate to scold Auriane who was getting out of hand. But compared to Cindy, she carefully choosed her words because she understood what Auriane was trying to do.

"Auriane, you can't blame  my niece for everything, even though she neglected her duty as a cousin and didn't take care of your sister, you still can't blame her."

Very good!

Auriane cheered at Stella who was able to turn the situation into their favor in no time. Angel was indeed her disciple, but Cindy probably had a lot to learn from her.

So what if she escaped and pulled Cindy out of the trap, they were still many ways to turn the table. Auriane smiled and continued with a confident smile.

"How can I blame elder cousin, sister has always been meticulous and law abiding, such that she never once left the school campus. The few times she left she only came back home accompanied by elder cousin."

"Then I should really thank elder cousin for always staying by her side? If it hadn't been by our careful attention and close company, then sister might ...have met worst."

"Hmph, you're wise, of course I'm always filial to her, not leaving campus made her ignorant of the outside world of the dangerous capital, If I wasn't ..."

   Cindy paused and realized that something was amiss. Auriane was actually praising her, but why did she feel that she had actually fallen into her trap the moment she proudly replied.
