Just few words from her and everyone was already on the side of the pitiful orphan, she made it sound like she was a bad step mother who maltreated her step daughters.

Even though Stella hated the two bastards of her husband, she never made it known to the villagers. In the eyes of every body she was the best step mother. Hence even if she hated the two bastards she could only suppress her hate and anger, she couldn't let the the little girl destroy the image she had so much worked for 

It was fine to let it pass for the moment, she could deal with the little rat in a reserved manner once she had dealt with the elder.

"Auriane, how can you say such a thing, I've always tried my best to make you and your sister feel less the lost of your mother. I understand that you don't accept me as a mother since you don't even dare call me mother.Just how much do you despise."

    Auriane couldn't help but praise her with more disdain. The wicked woman knew how to take advantage or the slightest flaws, but it was fine. Auriane wasn't surprise that Stella was able to turn everything back to her advantage.

How could a mother who had trained Angel White into a scheming White lotus not even have her own scheming skills. After spending so much time with scheming family, Auriane decided to turn into a cunning fox.

Only by turning into a cunning fox would she be able to defeat her step family and avoid her sister's destruction.

"You got me wrong,'aunt.", Auriane emphasized with the aunt, giving Stella a cold smile. She wanted her to know that she would never stoop so low to calling he mother, nor give her that privilege. She didn't even deserve to have her as a niece.

"Aunt, pardon me if you felt offended, but I just can't use that title on you."

   Stella's lips curled into a bringht smile when she heard Auriane declaring what she had emphasized on. When the girl suddenly became bold, she had been taken aback by few of her words with fear that the she had grown some intelligence over night. But it turned out that it was a false alarm. How could a girl that followed her precious Angel like a shadow even compare to her.

Her words just ended up digging a hole for herself, giving her an opportunity to polish her image and give a bad impression about Auriane in front of others. If others thought that Auriane was arrogant, then they would despise Nora even more. Obviously, if the little sister was capable of such disrespect and arrogance at such an age, then her sister's attitude wouldn't be less troublesome.

"You... I've done so much for you, neglecting my own children and this is how you treat me. I know that I can never take your mother's place, but you...you just..."

"Aunt, please don't misquote my statement."

   Auriane cut in before Stella could say any further. She was caught off guard by Auriane at the moment she was about to pour down her tears of pitty. Auriane's sudden cut it gave her the cold feeling that her throat had been pierced through. She was convinced that Auriane had helped her to polish her image, but she suddenly felt a sense of insecurity to be cut off by a brat that she despised.

"... Everyone knows that I lost my mother when I was barely a month. I had only known her smiles through portraits, but I've never been able to make her smile with my first words. You just said that you would never take our mother's place, but if you compel me to address you with the title of my mother, then ain't you trying to replace her in my heart."

"How...how is that possible, I just..."

"Aunt knows that I had never address my mother like that, giving her the position she deserved, how could I give you that privilege, won't I break my late mother's heart?"

   Stella didn't care about the so called privilege of hearing the two brats in front of her call her'mother. But she felt that the brat in front of her had changed a lot. She was able to give tacit speeches and even deceive others into taking it the other way. How could she not understand what Auriane melet m when she denied to give her the privilege of addressing her as a mother. 

It was obvious that Auriane didn't think she deserved it, the little bastard was looking down on her. Unless her words were unintentionally expressed or the girl really meant to humiliate her.

But it didn't matter, she couldn't lose her temper to a child who barely learnt how to fly with her wings. And even if she indeed bore her own wings to fly, then she'll pluck it sooner or later.

"Don't say that, aunt didn't mean any harm, I just didn't want you to feel inferior over your sisters."

"Then aunt can maintain her position as my father's wife, sister and I can take care of ourselves, just as we did when mother died"

   Auriane said nonchalantly, then she helped her sister on her feet, ignoring the eyes that had glared at her when she decided to cut in like a wolf. 

But Auriane just knew that her step mother and step cousin would never let things pass so easily. They had vowed to humiliate her sister and they would surely never let it go. 

It didn't matter to Auriane, she didn't just come here to remind Stella and Cindy of her existence, but she was determined to solve the problem that brought her sister's doom. It was a pity that she couldn't avoid her sister's suffering a month ago, but it wasn't late either.

"You're no longer alone, let me help you carry your burden... trust me."

   Auriane murmured the words such that only her sister could hear it. Though it left her perplexed, the spark and warmth in her sister's eyes suddenly gave her the feeling of security. She once felt that she was lonely to carry a heavy burden, but it suddenly happened that the little girl who was still crawling behind her had grown. She was thirteen, but she no longer had a naive aura of a thirteen year teenager.

"Auriane, don't be stubborn, your sister did something wrong and she must be punished."

    Auriane sneered and looked fiercely at the girl who insisted on placing the whole crime on her sister. If it hadn't been for Nora's help, Cindy would have never been able to enroll in a prestigious school. Her sister had helped her so much, and this is how she compensated her...

With slander and cruelty.

The world was indeed cruel and no one was to be trusted, certainly not the blood suckers.

"Elder cousin, I don't know what crime sister had committed, neither what she had done to make slander her. Which was the truth, you definitely know it better..."

Cindy froze when her eyes met with that of Auriane, it was cold and fierce, just like her soul had been pierced through with a spear and her deepest stories had been dugged out by her.

She couldn't escape bathe gaze who seemed to longer right in her mind, preventing her from thinking any further as if she would let her most daring memories float on the face of others who were present at current.
