Not Worth It

But they were far from having the expectations of a slightest changes, no matter how tiny it was. Of course the script they had written was supposed to end as they had decided. But they were far from thinking that actors also had the right to change the script to suit their taste. Everything just had to follow the whole plot.

Auriane knew where the plot was leading to, and it was definitely not going to favour her sister. She vaguely recalls what had happened on this day when her sister was humiliated. She only came back to hear that her sister had been chased out of the house, and out of the moon Quad which was reputable for being virtuous.

No body at the White was willing to tell her the event of her sister's down cast humiliation, but she wasn't oblivious about it. Though many people didn't much mention it, they didn't hide their enthusiasm to gossip about the shameful slut of the Moon district.

Not long after she left, Angel pretended to sympathise with her and helped her send food to Nora, but she was far from being aware that it had abortion drug in it. The abortion drug took effect in barely two days after, killing Nora along with her unborn baby.

Everyone despised her for causing what they considered as an infanticide, even if the baby had never been born. Her sister died with a tarnished reputation and she blamed her crimes as cruelty. Little did she know that Angel had only used her to kill her own sister.

'Sister died because of me in my past life.'

   How could she let history repeat itself, if her sister still ended up with the same fate, then it would be needless to obtain a second chance.

"Sister, why are you kneeling down, the soil is quite humid. It's very bad for you to kneel here, let me help you up.", Auriane didn't hesitate to walk towards her sister who probably stayed on the same position for quite a while. She ignored the shocked face from the witnesses at present.

   Even Nora was surprised at her sudden arrival, not that she wasn't expecting her little sister to abruptly show up in the scene. But the little sister she knew wasn't close to her. She was more close to her step family and at times despised her, it all happened the day she decided to leave for the capital city to attend Senior high school.

Nora had never blamed Aurian's despise and her reluctance to stand next to her as a sister, afterall, she was her only family after their mother's death, but she let her down by leaving for the capital city instead of staying by her side in tbe central City.

But now that her sister finally came close to her voluntarily it had to be at such a moment when she couldn't protect herself from the abuses and slander. Her only option was to avoid her sister from participating.

"I'm fine Auriane."

Nora raised her hands and cupped Auriane's little face with her warm hands. It was so warm that Auriane felt the ice in her heart slowly melting. It was a type of strong feeling that couldn't be said with words, a tender and appeasing affection.

    Nora revealed a sincere smile, slightly stroking Auriane on her nose, like she had always done when she was a toddler. She was obviously not fine, her body was becoming weak for kneeling for so long, but because she wanted to protect her she strained a smile of relief.

Her sister obviously always thought of her, she would rather carry the heavy burden by herself, than let her get implicated. But why did she not see such a warm affection in the past. 

"If you're fine, then you shouldn't kneel down."

"I..."

   Nora paused for a moment and looked at her sister whom she had raised for years. She was still young and hadn't even bled yet, how could she understand the current situation.

Little did she know that the Auriane in front of her had seen more ahead of her. In terms of maturity, she was probably above her sister, even if her current age was just thirteen.But her sister wouldn't know this, so she could only act on her own accord.

"Sister, no matter what you shouldn't kneel down for so long."

"But ..."

"Auriane White!" Your sister did something bad, that's why she has to kneel here and face her fault!", Cindy claimed realizing that Auriane had no intention of walking out. The girl walked in from no where and rushed towards her sister, ignoring the presence of so many. She even wanted to take her sister away without considering the presence of others, but how could she, Cindy Allan just watch it silently. It took her a lot of time and effort to plan everything, not something that a brat could spoil.

Besides, weren't the two sisters at odd, how does it look different from her memories. Anyway, it didn't matter if they had a good relationship or not, Nora was the main issue at hand, once everything was dealt with, then...

"Elder cousin, children make mistakes and considering the fact that sister is still a teenager compared to you, she's a child."

"What!"

'Compared to her?'

  Didn't it simply mean that she was old as compared to Nora. It was true that she had reached eighteen years now, but she was slightly a year older than Nora. Auriane's words didn't seem to mean any offence, but she was actually offended.

If it hadn't been for the fact that she wanted to maintain perfect image in front of the elders, then she would have taught the annoying brat a lesson.

But now wasn't the time, they had to join forces and deal with her sister, the annoying brat would therefore be left with no one protecting her.

Cindy maintained her composure and took a deep breath before exhaling. She only spoke once her temper had been controlled.

"You're right, I'm the elder here, so when a junior makes mistake, I should discipline her."

  Discipline her?

   Auriane frowned, and her gaze became slightly cold, how could Cindy even think about discipling her sister. She didn't even deserve to hold a candle for her and she was talking about discipling her. Auriane really wanted to hit some sense in the arrogant sparrow in front of her, but she could only clench her fist and suppress her anger in order not to act recklessly.

"You're right, but considering the fact that you're sister's classmates, discipling her is considered being a bully."

  Cindy almost vomited blood, not only had she been indirectly called an old lady, but now that brat also made her look like a bully. She really wanted to beat the hell out of her, she would have equally done so if Stella hadn't stepped in front to cut her.

"Auriane White, your sister did a bad think and we're all trying to reach a compromise, as a kid you shouldn't stand here, this has nothing to do with you."

   Auriane glared coldy at the woman who was trying to slander her sister. This evil woman and her children ruined their lives, even her mother had suffered in her hands during her pregnancy. First it was her mother and now she wanted to take her sister.

No way !

"Aunty, you make it sound like sister had committed the crime of murder."

"What!"

   Stella exclaimed, because she couldn't believe that Auriane actually talked back at her. She recalled that Auriane always laid low and not once did she go against her, but now she not only spoke, but the look in her eyes were icy cold.

"Even if my sister had indeed done something, shouldn't it be settled as a family, just like when you settle that of my 'step siblings'.By making Nora kneel under the scotching sun, haven't you already declared us as strangers."

   Aurian's words went straight to the point, she was neither arrogant nor did she disregard the other people as unimportant. She simply brought forward her right and that of the sister. The district members who hadn't left the scene also agreed with her words that were quite logical.

  It was obvious that Stella was being biased, when her only son got into a fight that sent one of his friends to the hospital, Stella paid the family members of the child to keep it low. Making a whole show about Nora who wasn't it obviously showing how bias she was.

'This girl, when did she become so smart at words?'

   With just few words Auriane had turned the situation to their side. She evoked pitty in the eyes of the members of the Moon district who had been feeling disgust towards her sister.
