Episode 4

Narrator

Amidst war, with so many screams and explosions, the fire igniting the entire forest that groaned with such misfortune, the Supreme Sorcerer of the Kingdom of Avila makes a difficult decision.

"Zohar, take all the women, children, and young ones to the underground caves, lock the exits, and give the key to Elder Aldera. Take everything that is left of the supplies in the castle and put them there for them, go in and lock the door. I only trust you to help them when it's all over."

"Go!"

Zohar was obedient, and when it was all over, they spent months inside the underground caves of the castle. It was fortunate that the Supreme had prepared for the possibility of war or anything else that could jeopardize his people by creating those facilities, with water coming from the waterfall, passing through pipes and forming a small lake, and exiting on the other side, flowing out into the rocks by the shore.

When they came out, they saw the destruction of the kingdom. The castle's upper portion was destroyed, but there were still some salvageable parts. It would take some work. Nature was already showing signs of life there, and everyone was allowed to go out and explore the surroundings of the castle.

Some families had hidden in caves in the rocks and were there examining the ruins. They joined the palace people and discussed what could be done.

Over three centuries had passed, and nature had recovered. The families had rebuilt, planted the seeds preserved by the Supreme, and shared everything without discrimination.

The sorcerers restored a part of the castle for the Supreme's families to live in, and in the underground cave, the witches set up their chambers, potions, spells, and any material they could extract from nature to aid in their preparations. They were treated and placed there, along with the ancient scrolls and surviving books.

Throughout all this time, no one had managed to enter or leave. However, some witches knew the resident of the neighboring castle on the Kingdom's border, Lord Agnek, an ancient, legendary, and very powerful witch. They sent crude writings to him, telling him what had happened and the prophecy that prevented them from leaving. They didn't know if he received them because magic couldn't pass through the protection, so they just threw the writings, rolled up and tied to stones, as far as possible, hoping he would find them.

Elder Aldera had died, but she passed on her teachings and magic to all the young ones, and her magic was passed down to her daughter, who, in turn, passed it on to her daughter, who passed it on to her daughter. Now, her great-great-granddaughter is the current elder, and her daughter will take her place.

Her granddaughter is already being instructed in the arts of magic and herbal healing. She is fifteen years old, and her powers are already noticeable. When her mother passes away and passes on all the accumulated magic from generations of witches, she will likely become the Supreme Witch.

Kir

I entered the dark forest once again. No one comes here, afraid of the ghostly appearance it acquired after everything was burned and destroyed. But the forest is so powerful that I can't resist coming to examine and see if any magic remains.

I made my way through the trees and noticed that it wasn't dark, but even if it was, my eyes can see in the dark. Mom told me that my father had a wolf part, but he was an omega and, being a witch, he couldn't transform. It was a huge risk being a half-werewolf, living in the city of witches. When I was born, Mom noticed through my eyes that I inherited characteristics of a FAILURE from my father.

These creatures were naturally guardians of children and excellent protectors and healers, but over time and due to hunting for enslavement, they became uncontrollable and lost their peaceful human nature, becoming ruthless. That's why they are abhorred by other races. After the war that nearly decimated our people, they are hated by many here.

As I venture further into the forest, I feel a magical fluctuation, extremely gentle but distinctive. I hear a whispered voice and feel vibrations coming from the trees.

I go over to a huge trunk, almost in the middle of the forest, its branches all twisted and burnt, but it seems to vibrate. I approach closer and put my ear to the trunk, staying there for a while feeling the vibration and hearing the voice whisper to me.

"Kir, Kir, we are enchanted, girl. We can only return to our original forms when the heir mentioned in the prophecy arrives. It won't be long, we can already feel his magic. As he searches for us, his magic comes closer to us. Wait, girl Kir, your destiny was determined many years ago and you will be very important for the restoration of our kingdom. Now go, girl Kir, goooo..."

I leave with a nagging feeling, what a strange story, the heir of the prophecy, but what prophecy? At least I was able to confirm what I already suspected, she has magic, and according to what they said, she could soon return to her normal state.

Pedro

I feel something calling me back to the library. It's already morning, so I get ready and go downstairs. In the kitchen, breakfast is being prepared. I grab a piece of orange cake and an apple and turn to leave.

"Wait there, boy, sit down and have a proper breakfast or your mother will cast one of her ridiculous spells on me, ruining my day. Here, eat."

She puts a glass of orange juice, a cup of coffee, bacon and eggs, and toast. It's a feast, but I'm actually hungry! I eat everything and wrap the cake in a napkin, taking it along with the apple for when I get hungry.

I arrive at the library and head to the history shelves. I grab the wand and cast the same spell, now a book comes from the last shelf on the right. I hold it and see the continuation of the first diary. I proceed in the same way as before and hide to read.

This one is more detailed about the witch's life, it also explains how the books ended up here. Wow, she is my great-grandmother. Interesting, since wolves live for a long time, my father must have known her. I will ask him, but not now, only when I unravel the whole mystery.

Towards the end, there is something about the location, it's a map of the Kingdom of Avila and its whereabouts. That's all I needed, let's go.

I stand with my legs apart, open my hands with palms facing up, and start making circular movements, using my hands and arms. Slowly, a light appears forming a circle, I recite the enchantment that will allow my entry:

fosgail suas don oighre (open yourself to the heir)

It opened!

I am the heir of the prophecy!!!!
