Episode 9

"Miss, it's time to go. Those are your next words, then he takes the bottle and gets up. I try to do the same, but my body loses a bit of stability and I fall back onto the chair. I look at him embarrassed and he smiles widely as he reaches out his hand. I take it and it's difficult to explain the sensation that runs through my body. I don't know if he feels the same, as his smile gradually disappears and his brow furrows slightly while his piercing gaze lingers on mine. I carefully get up, breaking free from the trance that had captivated me just moments ago. We leave the place, and I try to let go of his hand, but he doesn't allow it."

"We don't want you to fall, do we?"

"No, I wouldn't like to fall." I whisper. "When we get to the parking lot, his driver opens the door for both of us. My boss waits for me to be the first to get in and I watch him give instructions to the driver before getting in."

"Where are we going?"

"To a place where we can drink from this bottle peacefully."

"Okay, but then you'll take me home, I can't be late."

"Is your boyfriend waiting for you?" His voice grows cold.

"It's not that..."

"Forget it, it's not something I care about." He interrupts me with these words. After a while, we arrive at an apartment located in one of the most exclusive areas of the city. The driver gets out and once again opens the door. My boss gets out and extends his hand to me again, this time I don't hesitate to take it, that feeling repeats itself.

"Thank you." I say to the driver, he nods and gets back in the van and drives away, I suppose he's going to park the vehicle.

"I don't understand, why are you bringing me to an apartment?" I ask after considering the situation.

"I already told you, we'll be more at ease here." I narrow my eyes and look at him. "Don't worry, nothing will happen... nothing that you don't want." I'm about to object, but he walks briskly towards the entrance, and I try to keep my balance as I follow his pace.

"It's beautiful, I like it."

"I'm glad you like it."

"I think with all the money that must have been invested, anyone would like it." I add while taking in every part of that place.

"Of course, that's why you like it, because you imagine how much it must have cost." Once again, his voice becomes cold, and his eyes reveal that dangerous edge characteristic of him. "Still, I disregard your comment. He approaches a large glass display with a wide variety of drinks, but I realize that the bottle he left on a table earlier is not among them. He takes two glasses and goes back for the bottle, while pouring into both glasses, he talks to me."

"Please have a seat, I want you to be comfortable."

"Thank you." Just as he asks, I sit on a large, black sofa that I confirm is better than my own bed. He approaches, hands me a glass, and then sits next to me. And even though there's enough space, the fabric of his fine pants brushes against my leg, I can't help but look at him. "Do you live here?" I ask, unsure of what else we can talk about.

"No, I only come occasionally."

"I see." My fingers lightly tap the glass, it's a bit uncomfortable.

"There's something I would like to talk about, Chanel."

"What about?"

"I like you." My eyes open abruptly and I'm thankful I didn't have wine in my mouth, otherwise, the scene I would have caused would have been embarrassing.

"What... What did you say? I think I heard wrong."

"I said I like you." He turns his body, placing one leg on the couch to get a better look at me. My gaze remains forward; I am too hesitant to meet his eyes. But he takes my chin and gently turns my face towards him, which must be completely red by now. I must look like a tomato in contrast to my hair. "I really like you..." The next thing I feel are his lips on mine. I am unable to respond; my ability to react is pushed to the limit as his lips become more demanding in search of a response. I try to say something, but he takes advantage of the moment to slip his tongue into my mouth. It is just as his hand lands on my lower back that my lips react, responding to his demands. I discover that I love his lips, the moisture of his kisses. My hands travel to his neck, and I adjust my leg to find a more comfortable position on the couch, completely surrendering to his touch. His hand shifts and travels to my leg, slowly raising my dress.

"This is moving too fast... please, no."

"Why? If we both want it." He says, kissing my neck.

"No, I am not like that. It's too soon."

"Of course, you're not like that. How much will it cost me?"

"Let... Let go of me!" I push him with all my strength. He steps aside and returns to his spot, as if nothing had happened. "You're an idiot! Who do you think you are to treat me like this?" I say, adjusting my dress and standing up. "I take out my cell phone and request a taxi using the app. Unfortunately, the nearest one is fifteen minutes away. He just remains silent, observing me with disinterest."

"Come on, don't play hard to get. If you don't want to, just say so. But making a fuss about something normal? I want something and I offer to pay for it." He says as he stands up and walks towards me, attempting to kiss me again. I wait for him to let his guard down and without a second thought, I use the palm of my hand and all my strength to strike his face, causing him to turn from the impact.

"Don't bother saying goodbye, that was my resignation letter. There is something I need more than a job, and that is my dignity intact. It can't be bought. Excuse me, sir, it was not at all a pleasure working with you." I disregard my drunkenness and hurriedly leave that infernal apartment.

"Chanel, stop right there, that's an order!" I clench my fists, standing in front of the door.

"I don't take orders from a jerk, an arrogant abuser like you. Goodbye."
