This is a story of an old lady. Hello, I’m your narrator. I’ll narrate you this story and we together learn few moral lessons from this. Let’s begin, meet Prabha Danielle the main character of my story. She is sixty years old. She belongs to one of the richest and well reputed families in Agra. In her big house she lived with her three sons and their wives. She loosed her husband a few years back. During her sugar treatment, she gets blind . Her family deserted her. From her big house she has been shifted to an old age home called ‘old innings’. NOW, as we all know, her family pretends to the society that it was her decision to leave them and stay in a ‘vridh aashram’ just to protect their family reputation and she herself stays quite only for her husband’s reputation. Being a mother, she always thought that there is a fault with her upbringing that her sons deserted her. (Narrator- It really hurts when you gave half of your life to your beloved ones and in return you didn’t get the same love, respect and time from them.) In the old age home, she is just passing the other half of her life. She feels very lonely and deserted. She started crying whenever she got the flashes of her old happy time with her husband. (Narrator- husband/ wife, is the only person, your partner in your life, till your journey comes to an end. Even after death also their names never gets separated from each other.) Though, she is blind. She can’t do anything to distract herself. Everyone had pity on her. One day a miracle happens, the Doctor called Rishab, paid his visit as always he came monthly for their checkups. He did this job free of costs and get the blessings of all the people who lived there. (Narrator- so, cheer up man come on here is our hero. HERO_ you know why? No. Let’s see.) When he came to know about what happened with Prabha (an old lady). He decided to help her with all her problems. He asked her to live with her, he wants to help her. But she refuses. You know what she said, she can’t stay with stranger. (Narrator_ uff ! Prabha this stranger is better than your sons who deserted you when you needed them the most. He is a good man.) Rishab tries to convince her. He said_ mam, I was very young when I looses my mother. I know the value of mother more than your sons. I don’t know you would come with me or not but please don’t blame yourself. It was not your fault. On this the old lady agreed to go along with him. He gets her into his house. He consults the best eye specialist of Agra and started her treatment. He paid a large fee for her cure. After the treatment she gets and by the gods grace she restores her vision properly. Rishab wants to teach the lesson to her sons (of old lady). He makes her agreed for putting the court case on their sons. Firstly, lady gets worried for her husband’s respect in the society but after listening his words, she was ready to face the upcoming situation with a great confidence. (Narrator_ you know; what was his words, that your husband never wanted to see you like this so helpless. He married you and want you to leave happily even after their death. He gave you lovely memories to make you smile not to make you cry. )
ON THE JUDGEMENT DAY—(Narrator- yes, finally the day comes, I’m waiting for ) judge passes a verdict in the old lady’s favour. He ordered her sons to compensate her and from now she lives with them. (Narrator_ this was the time for her to being selfish). This time Prabha refuses to live with their sons. Judge ask her to think again as she is getting selfish now because she only wants the property. She said ‘My lord, after my husband’s death, only I know’ how I managed business and raised my three sons. In taking care of all of them sometimes I forgot to eat. I forget that I’m also a human, who needs love and care but when the time comes to get all love and care from their children in return, they deserted me. Now, I don’t want to live with them when they agreed to live with me under the pressure, not with their hearts. They will learn their lesson only when they had to go through the same, when their children leave them alone. NOW, I wanted to leave happily for the rest of my life with beautiful memories of my life because my husband has told me something, which I forgot. Judge asked – ‘what is that?’ Prabha replies that {SELFISH means a wish you made for yourself} and he had made a wish for both of us that after fulfilling all our responsibilities we’ll live happily ever after. Unfortunately he’s not with me but he never wanted to see me like this. He always has a complaint with me that I never think about myself but now I want to address their complaint. Every one sitting in the room started praising her for her brave decision. Coming out from the court Prabha thanks Rishab and blessed him as her child. She said whenever you want, you can come to meet me. Thank you my child, you have remind me the lesson which I forgot. My husband gave me soo much love that after his death I thought I’ll never get that love and happiness. But he gave me loveable memories which make sure that I wouldn’t miss my love much in my life. (Narrator- So, this is my story. I hope you all get the meaning of SELFISH and made a wish for yourself not bothering about anything (society, children, your fears, etc. ) After this incident, Prabha Danielle was a happiest lady and lived happily ever after.
(NARRATOR_ If love comes into your life, it never leaves you, even when the loved one leaves you. Their memories do not let that love go away from your life.)
