The next day, Nina and Camila woke up early. Nina would go to her company as the vice president, but in reality, she would be managing the company herself with the guidance of Maximiliano, as her husband also manages the Cannat company. The mischievous girls came downstairs for breakfast, laughing and talking, eagerly waiting for Alonzo to enter with a cheerful smile. He approached them, giving a sweet kiss on Camila's forehead and playfully messing up Nina's hair, making her grumble.

"Hey there, Ojitos. I hope you've prepared breakfast. I'm starving. I couldn't go grocery shopping for the apartment, and I think I'll need Camila's help to guide me," Alonzo said flirtatiously, while Nina rolled her eyes. The two of them had instantly connected. While they began to have breakfast, Nana Gloria came out to see what was happening, feeling bad. It seemed like Nina had no intentions of getting involved with Maximiliano, and she had ruined everything from the beginning.

The well-fed trio went to the company. Filiberto would escort his young lady to her first day of work, happy about that. He noticed the flirtatious glances exchanged between Camila and Alonzo through the rearview mirror, understanding that the young man who was supposedly Nina's boyfriend was just a friend. Nina playfully nudged her friend, encouraging her to respond to her enamored suitor.

The young group arrived at the company, and Camila and Alonzo headed to the Human Resources department to complete their hiring process. They would be hired immediately with Alan Cannat's authorization. While Nina entered the building, garnering everyone's attention, a receptionist stood with her mouth agape as she was ignored by the beautiful young woman who headed straight to the elevator. Nina knew the company well; she had been there several times when she was a teenager.

As Nina made her way to her new office, Raquel arrived at her own office only to discover a situation that infuriated her.

"What do you think you're doing? Why are you removing my things? I am the vice president. I will have you all fired!" Raquel yelled angrily. Not far away, Anahí, Thomas Ugarte's assistant, watched amusedly. She didn't like that woman and was convinced that her boss's gambling problem had something to do with Raquel.

"Miss Raquel, I believe you haven't been informed, but the new vice president of Ugarte Enterprises is Thomas Ugarte's second daughter, Miss Nina Ugarte. She will be in charge of the company from now on," Anahí said with a smile as she handed a document to the flustered Raquel.

"This is your new position. Mr. Alan Cannat has arranged it since the company is now under the management of the Cannat family. The office is being renovated, and the new furniture is here for the new vice president. Your role now is as the head of commercial relations, and your office is on the 13th floor, not here. You should report to your office," the young woman calmly explained, driving Raquel crazy.

Raquel became furious and approached Anahí with anger and fury.

"How dare you speak to me like that? If the Cannat family is in charge, I'm sure Maximiliano doesn't agree with this. I will have all of you fired. I will talk to Thomas, and you will all be out on the street!" Raquel said indignantly, while Anahí chuckled, knowing that Nina had the support of the Cannat grandfather, so she wouldn't get away with it.

"Miss Raquel, you can speak with anyone you want, but a wife is always more important than a mistress," Anahí proudly stated, provoking Raquel's loss of control.

SLAP.

Raquel slapped Anahí while hurling insults at her.

"You damn idiot! You're just a ridiculous secretary. You'll see how I get rid of you!" she furiously exclaimed until a beautiful yet authoritative voice echoed through the room.

"Who the hell do you think you are to hit my staff?" Nina said, looking at Raquel with disgust. Now she remembered her from the party, and now she despised her even more, knowing that she was the reason Nina ended up having a relationship with Maximiliano.

Raquel caught a glimpse of her and could further appreciate Nina Ugarte; she is beautiful, but there is a coldness about her that, despite her sweet face, appears distant and aloof.

"Well, do you truly believe you can take my place just like that? You're nothing more than a substitute for Celia. If she hadn't backed out, you wouldn't have this opportunity. You're just a home wre..." - but Nina is not a compassionate woman, especially towards someone like her.

PLAF.

Nina delivered a tremendous slap to the woman's cheek, causing her to stagger back and lose her balance for a few seconds.

"Substitute my mother... my name is on that marriage certificate, the ring is on my finger, and at home, my husband is waiting. I never want to see you in my apartment again, and take your supposed friends who work for you with you," Nina simply turned around and walked into her office as the maintenance staff rearranged things.

Anahí looked at Raquel reveling in the unfortunate situation she finds herself in. Nina Ugarte has arrived to claim what is rightfully hers immediately.
