Gloria didn't know what to say. She had been told that Celia had escaped, but she thought that Nina had done something to push her sister away. The morning's attitude seemed strange to her, and now that girl seemed even stranger than before, more than necessary.

The girls elegantly wiped their mouths and took their plates to the kitchen to wash them. After clearing the table, they went to bed. Gloria noticed that both of them slept in one room. It was obvious that they didn't want to be alone.

On Sunday, Nina and Camila cooked and walked around the place. It was beautiful, almost like a small castle. In the afternoon, several boxes arrived with clothes for Nina. Maximiliano had bought the outfits advised by his mother and Brenda, who told him approximately the style that Nina preferred.

At first, Nina refused, but Camila convinced her that it wouldn't hurt until they could go shopping together. The clothes were very nice and fit her perfectly.

In Maximiliano's apartment, he tended to the scratches on his back, the huge bruise on his left foot, and the wound on his forehead. He had the impression that he wouldn't survive this marriage.

The doorbell rang, and he opened it just as he was. The marks on his back only made evident the lustful night he had spent with Nina, whom he barely remembered, and it infuriated him.

He opened the door and instantly became upset at the sight of his visitor. In the Ugarte's garden, while the grandfather talked to Nina, Alexandro recounted what had happened the previous night, putting Maximiliano on alert.

Before, I didn't care about your intrigues and tricks, Raquel, but now I won't tolerate them. Don't get near Nina, don't hurt her, Raquel, or you'll get to know me," Maximiliano warned, leaving Raquel petrified. She now understood why her plan had gone so wrong.

"Maxi, honey, it's not like that, really. I'm being framed for something I didn't do. I just don't want our relationship to be ruined by this marriage contract. I would never ruin our relationship," Raquel said anxiously while caressing Maximiliano's strong and defined chest, which he quickly pushed her away from.

"Raquel, we don't have any relationship. It's just sex and nothing more. You knew that, so get rid of those intentions. Now, leave," Maximiliano turned around to lift his shirt, and Raquel could see the marks on his back, suspecting that her plan had backfired.

"Maxi, I don't know how things have changed between us. It didn't matter to Celia, and I don't think your new wife cares either. It seems like she has her man close by, that blond guy who was chasing her all night. I don't think she'll mind if you and I just have some fun together," she said as she approached, swaying her hips.

Maximiliano became angry at the thought of Alonzo, but he was even more annoyed by the way Raquel spoke about his marriage as if she knew every detail.

He took her by the arm and led her to the door.

"Raquel, go away. I don't want to be rude with you. Our games are over. I am now a married man, and I don't want to add any more flaws to my wife's list of grievances. So go away and don't come back with those intentions," Maximiliano said, annoyed. He was dissatisfied with Nina's treatment and the way she saw him.

"Maximiliano, don't give me nonsense. Are you planning on fulfilling this marriage? Do you think she cares about what you think?" Raquel said angrily, trying to enter the apartment again.

"Well, I do care about what she thinks of me. This is an alliance, and I will respect it until it ends, so you can leave," Maximiliano showed her the ring on his finger, almost rubbing it in her face, and slammed the door in her face.

Raquel was furious, but she was confident she could handle that little girl. She already had a way to make things worse between them, and tomorrow her plan would begin.

Max stormed off to his bedroom, angry with the situation. It's obvious that things are only getting more complicated, but he needed to stay alert. He would also talk to his friend and his brother, who know the situation.

Maximiliano called Leo to ask him not to inform Raquel about his whereabouts, but he was surprised to learn that Leo hadn't spoken to her or exchanged messages. This led Maximiliano to suspect that Raquel had other methods to track him down.
