Episode 16

Alexander realized that Alicia doesn't reason well when it comes to Raquel and he can't cure her. Raquel had been a big problem for the Cannat family, and he almost didn't marry Alicia because of Raquel Miche. That woman was a manipulative harpy, but she held many family secrets that they couldn't push away so easily.

Alexander arrived with Alicia, knowing the truth, so they agreed to share part of the situation. They didn't want to create enmity or mention that woman too much in front of Lucía Cannat. Raquel had earned the family's hatred, and they didn't tell Max the whole truth. He doesn't know who the woman is with whom he has occasional encounters.

Everyone was talking in the living room when Camila arrived with a small pharmacy bag. All eyes turned curiously towards her, and Camila swallowed nervously. It seemed like they expected her to explain her presence and the medicine in that bag. However, the inexperienced Camila quickly rushed to Nina's room. She didn't want to explain that she had bought a morning-after pill, rash cream, and sanitary wipes for her friend, who had been drilled memorably by her ruthless husband.

Camila entered the room like a flash after making a signal. As soon as Alonzo saw her, he looked at her sweetly while Camila blushed. They had seen each other a couple of times, and the girl was sure that this blond guy would drive her crazy with love at any moment.

" Nina, there's a regiment of people outside. The Cannat family is here, and when I arrived, I saw the impressive automobile of Grandfather Alan Cannat. I know he has arrived, and if he's here, something really bad must have happened for all of you to end up in the same bed," Nina hurriedly said as she passed her the pill and the glass of water that Alonzo brought from the bathroom.

Nina took the pill and went to the bathroom to apply the cream. She also had to use the wipes because she was still bleeding a little, a fact she realized when she left a spot on the car seat.

In the living room, Brenda reprimanded Maximiliano and demanded to know what had happened. Nina shouldn't be exposed to this. Lucía reproached Alexander for not being aware of what had happened. Thomas was devastated; he had entangled his beloved daughter in this situation.

Nina felt better, so she decided to go downstairs. This shouldn't happen again, and she would never return to the Glorieta mansion in any way.

Nina arrived where the family was gathered to witness the commotion. Even with a slight headache, Nina decided to put an end to this stressful situation.

" Enough..., I can't bear this situation anymore. I don't want to know anything more about this marriage. It's over!" Nina yelled furiously. This was the last straw.

Everyone fell silent, and Maximiliano could see her beautiful, swollen eyes from crying so much. It was obvious she was terribly affected by what had happened. Although she didn't shed a tear in front of them, he felt bad seeing her so distraught.

" Nina, it's not our fault. Someone wanted to set us up," Max tried to approach her, wanting to hug her and protect her because she appeared so fragile and sad.

" I don't care. I won't let this go in any way," Nina roared, distancing herself from him immediately.

Maximiliano was annoyed by her rejection.

" You're being unfair. I didn't want to hurt you in any way. You should be more rational, or what are you going to do? Are you going to burn this house like you burned the bed in the Glorieta?" Max asked angrily. Unnoticed by anyone, an ashtray flew towards Max's head, hitting his forehead and causing it to bleed slightly upon impact.

Everyone was startled and gasped at the situation. They were shocked by Nina's reaction and the revelation of the bed burning in the Glorieta. Max had kept that silent, but seeing her so resistant towards him, he spat it out of anger.

Brenda embraced Nina, but she immediately pulled away. She was angry with everyone, angry with herself for accepting that madness.

Thomas wanted to approach her, but Nina only moved to another side of the room, and just as he was about to speak, the imposing voice of Alan Cannat resonated in the room. He was in his car receiving information about the incident, and now he has a clearer picture and must intervene before things get out of hand.

"I believe no one here has the moral high ground to speak with Nina, none of those who were at the party did anything to prevent that outcome, or at least not directly," said the tall and formidable man, glancing sideways at Alicia. The beautiful young woman immediately lowered her head; she has known the grandfather for years, and if there's one thing she's certain of, it's that the elderly man remains like a demon despite his age.
