The ceremony had begun while Nina looked around, avoiding eye contact with the judge who spoke of vows of love and fidelity. The beautiful girl just wanted to vomit as she knew that wouldn't happen in her marriage. Meanwhile, Maximiliano glanced at her, aware of her discontent, but he didn't care. After all, it was a marriage of convenience, so there was no need to be so dramatic.

When they both said "I do," everyone applauded, confused by the situation but unable to intervene. They headed to the beautiful hall to start the wedding celebration. Maximiliano left Nina at the central table and went off to mingle with the guests. Nina looked around, and Camila approached her, puzzled and unable to comprehend what was happening. Hanna sat next to her, equally bewildered. In less than an hour, her friend went from being an unwilling guest who didn't want to be there to being the bride. It was quite insane.

As Nina explained to her friends what was going on, Raquel approached Maximiliano in an intimate manner in front of everyone. Several people observed the situation and discreetly turned to look at the distracted bride. It seemed that each person had their own world, and none of it represented them.

Alonzo noticed the situation and didn't want his friend to look like a fool. Since Maximiliano hadn't separated himself from the woman who clung to him as if she were his wife, Alonzo decided to take the reluctant bride to dance. He thus opened the dance floor, which should have been with the groom, but since he was preoccupied, he should know that there were people who would attend to the bride as well.

Nina saw Alonzo extend his hand to invite her to dance while her friends cheered her on. She glanced at Max, who was occupied with his fling, and took the handsome Alonzo's hand, leading them to the center of the dance floor. Everyone watched in astonishment; the groom should have been there, but instead, there was another young man whom no one knew.

Brenda covered her face, while on the other side of the room, Lucia glanced at Maximiliano, feeling embarrassed and wanting the earth to swallow her up. The beautiful waltz filled the atmosphere as Max turned around to witness his now-wife dancing with the foreign boyfriend he had brought along.

Camila approached Max, whispering to Hanna, who was by her side.

"Hanna, don't they make a beautiful couple? Anyone would think Alonzo is the handsome groom devoted to his wife, and not off fooling around during their wedding," Camila said, without looking at anyone, while Raquel glared at her. Max, however, had a dangerous gaze.

"Indeed, they are a match made in heaven. It's a pity that her husband is preoccupied with his whores instead of his wife. If he's not careful, besides stealing the dance with his new wife, they might even steal their wedding night," Hanna said, laughing, as Maximiliano watched Nina dancing with Alonzo, amidst laughs and chuckles.

While this was happening, the young couple remained oblivious to all the talk and actions.

"Alonzo, you're a terrible dancer! Just follow my rhythm," Nina reproached, laughing.

"What are you talking about, silly? You're the one out of sync. You have two left feet," he said, laughing. They had danced together many times, they were the best of friends, but this waltz was something they had never attempted before, so they were completely out of their element.

Before they knew it, Maximiliano pushed Alonzo aside, leaving Nina bewildered. The tall, strong man took Nina by the waist, bringing her close to his body to dance with her. Alonzo just smirked and stepped aside with an air of superiority. Nonetheless, he didn't want Nina to face any troubles, but he wouldn't allow her to be mistreated.

Nina tried to free herself, but Maximiliano had no intentions of letting her go.

"You didn't have a sour expression when you were dancing with that brat," he murmured close to her, making her angrier.

"He is my boyfriend, after all. Why would I have a sour expression? BROTHER-IN-LAW," she said sarcastically, leaving Max even more furious.

"Well, now you're my wife and you must stay away from that brat," he said sternly. He was really upset by how she referred to him, he hated being called that.

"Oh, I see, your dear brother-in-law can be with his lovers in public and during a wedding, but I can't dance with my legitimate boyfriend to a song? You're such a hypocrite, brother-in-law," Nina said with laughter.

"Don't ever call me brother-in-law again, Nina, I'm warning you," he said, gritting his teeth. She drove him crazy, he no longer saw the sweet Nina when he looked at her.

"What are you going to do, dear brother-in-law? Are you going to bring one of your lovers to teach me a lesson?" Nina said, laughing. But just as she was about to break free...

Maximiliano forcefully grabbed her by the nape and kissed her with a demanding and lustful intensity, leaving Nina momentarily lost. She started to fight back, putting up a struggle, but the strong man had her under control. The elaborate dress didn't help, so Nina made a swift move, digging her beautiful stiletto heel into Max's left foot, making him break a sweat from the pain. He slowly let go of her while his eyes turned bloodshot from anger and discomfort. Nina was definitely a small wild beast.
