Episode - 1

Kim Jae Young, The 2nd Prince of the emperor was sitting in his room. Smoothly sharpening his sword and his eyes focused on the sword.

Tilting his head, he lifted the beautifully crafted, long sword and ran his fingers across the runes filling the blader's fuller.

He smirked, exposing his face from behind the sword. His eyes could tell everything about him. They were dark and deep.

He heard the knock on his door and commanded to come in.

"Jihoon"

He said, looking up. His voice was low pitched, deep and warm.

Jihoon bowed his head and then said,

"Your Highness, the 3rd prince is getting married soon. Probably within a month." He said."A banquet will be held in the royal palace tomorrow, his fiancee will also come to meet everyone"

Jae Young dilated his eyes and went deep in the thoughts for a moment , then he spoke

"That means I have to do something soon. If he gets married, there are high chances that he will be chosen the crown prince by the emperor." He picked up the sharpening stone and started to sharpen his sword.

"He can't get married so soon, I still need some time."

Jihoon could sense there was something going on in Jae young's head and definitely something evil. He asked,

"Then what are you going to do?"

"Kill his fiancee." Jae young said, leaving Jihoon stunned.

Another murder? Another innocent person will be killed? Jihoon thought. Why does he always have to kill people to get what he wants? Can he not be a little merciful for once in his life?

"Master, if you'll kill his fiance , he will marry someone else. It will not change anything.

Jihoon didn't want his master to take another innocent life. He knew that by killing people, Jae young was only becoming more and more empty inside and as a loyal guard, an advisor and maybe a friend, Jihoon only wanted good for him.

Jae Young: " Doesn't he like her? I'm sure, he will, at least, pretend to mourn for her some time. Right now, all I can do is stall this marriage."

Jihoon sighed, Then he turned around when he heard the loud bang on the door, two guards dragged a man inside the room.

Guard: "Master, he was eavesdropping." They all bowed.

The man was vibrating in fear, he could scarcely breath when Jae Young glared at him.

Man : " I-i was not, I-I was not eavesdropping, your highness."

Standing up from his seat, Jae Young took some steps towards that man.

" I-i came here to deliver the royal invitation f-for the banquet. I-I didn't eavesdrop, your highness."

Jae Young: "Leave him " he said, signalling his guards to go out of the room. They left the room,bowing.

Man : " Your Highness, p-please cut my tongue so I can't speak. C-cut my hands so I can't write! B-but please spare my life! I-I didn't hear anything your highness." He took out the invitation and put it on the floor. "I-I just came here to deliver the invitation."

He couldn't even connect his eyes with Jae Young, his hands were shivering, his eyes blinking. He was scared to death , he was seeing his death standing in front of him .

Jae Young: "When I see this fear in people's eyes." He said, " I feel peace at heart." He added with a vile smirk on his face that made the man tremble even more.

Man : "Y-your Highness, I-I didn't hear anything. " He said his lips shaking.

Jae Young was known for being merciless, cruel prince. People believed his heart turned stone when he went through something tragic during his childhood. Putting others down, killing people, snatching their peace, it would make him peaceful.

"The person who's terrified of death, it's more fun to kill him ."

That man's eyes widened, sweat and tears ran down his face.

In the blink of an eye, Jae Young lifted his sword in the air and plunged it onto the man's stomach, pushing it upward, he bawled like an animal and fell down.

The carpet was turning red.

Jihoon was disappointed but not surprised. Maybe he was eavesdropping, he was a royal guard, he could be 3rd prince,Minhyuk's spy. He thought. He convinced himself that the guard deserved to die

Jae Young: "Get this thing out of my room" He ordered him.Jihoon bowed his head and ordered the guards to remove the body.

The door opened, Jang mi's mother was brutally pushed on the ground by her father.

"Mother!!"

Jang mi screamed, seeing marks on her face, she was sure her father had beaten her again.

He took some steps towards her, she was helpless on the ground. He raised his hand to slap her again when jang mi grabbed his hand to stop him.

His gaze went to jang mi, eyes more furious. He sharply glared at her. He pushed her back and she fell down.

"How dare you!" He yelled.

"How dare you touch my mother!?" she yelled. "She's already sick! What a man you are!"

Jang mi's father grabbed her by her chin tightly, giving her a fierce glance.

"The more I am angry at is you only, You shameless-"

"Leave her, you're angry at me! Take it on me!" jang mi's mother said, grabbing him by his legs so he couldn't walk towards jang mi. He kicked her.

Then his gaze went to Jang mi's mother when he released Jang mi and went towards her.

"I told you not to go out of this room! You will live the rest of your life here! And you will die here." He told her, his voice harsh and rigid."You already ashamed me a lot by giving birth to this shameless girl who slept with my servant!" He finally said.

Tears flowed down jang mi's cheeks, it wasn't the first time she was hearing that but it always hurt her like the first time, specially because she was innocent.

"She was framed by your second daughter!! My daughter is nothing like this! " She yelled, sobbing. "How can you say such things about your own daughter?!"

Gripping on her hair tightly, he said

"Liar! Stop blaming your daughter's dirty and shameless mistake on others."

She was just crying and questioning her decision of marrying him. She loved the wrong person. She left everything for him and at the end he was easily fooled by people, he was torturing his daughter and his own wife since years.

"You have to go to the royal palace tomorrow, be ready for it" Jang mi's father said gazing at jang mi. That's a thing your doing good, marrying the 3rd Prince. I hope you will not mess it. He shouldn't know about your dirty past.

"I don't have any dirty past!" jang mi shouted.

"Keep your voice down!" He roared, "I don't know how you seduced him but it's great that you're marrying him, now my position in the palace will rise even more."

Hungry for power, hungry for money, manly only at bullying his own wife and daughter. Jang mi thought as she scoffed internally. What a father I have!

Her father wanted to kill her and her mother for giving birth to Jang mi, the day he was told that she had something with his servant. But, instead he decided to torture both of them forever, the rumour didn't spread and nobody knew about it so he thought it wouldn't harm him.

But jang mi was innocent. She knew, it was her step-sister, Min ah who framed her with great planning and made her father believe everything. During all that time, her mother was the only one who went through a lot, she cried and kept on crying. She even decided to take her life but she decided to live for her. Still she was really sick now and whatever happened effected her badly.

Her father stormed out, slamming the door behind him.Jang mi went to her mother and hugged her crying.

"I'm sorry mother, I wish I could do something for you." She said while crying."I really can't see you like this."

Jang mi's mother looked jang mi, swallowing her emotions. She said,

"Why are you crying?"

She placed her hand on jang mi's cheeks.

"You're going to become the princess consort and soon the crown princess." Her face glowed.

"My daughter will rule the world ".

Tears flowed down jang mi's cheeks.

"Once I'll get married to the 3rd prince, I'll tell him everything, then you'll live with us. I'll take you in the palace with me and the people who made us miserable..." With that Rage filled her eyes.

"I vow it mother, I'll not let them live in peace "

Jang mi's mother gave her a sad smile.

"You're my brave daughter."

Jang mi wanted to create a peaceful and happy life for her and her mother. Her mother was praying the same for jang mi too. She just wanted her daughter to live a happy life, she was relieved that Jang mi was going to marry the 3rd prince, Minhyuk and she was relieved as Jang mi's life was going to change for good.

People were gossiping and whispering when the 2nd prince, Kim Jae Young entered in the palace with his guards.The crowd parted and hushed, bowing as he passed by them they started whispering to each other.

"He seems very much furious."

"He's so handsome but for what! He has a black heart."

"The 3rd prince, Minhyuk is getting married soon, maybe that is why he is here."

"He's the absolute worst. Thank God he's nowhere in the line of becoming the crown prince. He's already so remorseless with the power he has, can you imagine what he will do once he gets the throne?" He gasped.

Jae young was hated by people but respected at the same time. Because of the terror, people respected him out of fear, they would never want to mess with him.

They were aware of the fact that,

~ Whoever messes with him or comes his way, dies mercilessly ~

Jang mi was walking in the royal palace with her father and her step-sister, Min ah when min ah spoke gazing at jang mi ,

"Why have you dressed so dull? You should've asked for my help.Are you going to disappoint the 3rd prince? Min ah scoffed.

With a heavy sigh jang mi rolled her eyes.

"I'm good sister. In fact, you look stunning though, nice dress." Jang mi said, giving her a phony smile. "Seems like you've groomed yourself for my part too."

Min ah gritted her teeth glaring at jang mi.

Jang mi's step-sister was jealous of jang mi when she didn't even have anything. Now that jang mi had the 3rd prince, Minhyuk, she was restless since the day he fell in love with jang mi. She wanted to snatch everything jang mi had. And jang mi knew she was beautifully dressed in a hope that she might be able to entice the 3rd prince.

Without any doubts she was indeed really beautiful and she was also very intelligent. She was quite talented and popular for being perfect but Jang mi didn't care about it . Jang mi believed if, the 3rd prince, Minhyuk really loved her he would not waver away and if he did then he never loved her.

"This witch" Min ah thought.

"The prince is coming" Jang mi's father said, clearing the air.
