Chapter 3 : Soft pet, Weak Owner

...Nada and Chrishel left the room back to the academy. They cannot miss their classes because of me. Chrishel and I became close and Nada teached her how to read my thoughts by expression and she was pretty getting it. The next subject was Biology luckly I can have an excuse it's pretty much it I guess. I head out of the room and saw my brother rushing over. "DYRROTH!!" He screamed. I gave a look just to see my brother in tears. It's very obvious he was worried. Me being me, doesn't demand concern from other people but in the end I still got it. An embrace too tight to breathe in was given to me. If there is something concerning in me and that is my fragile body. It's keeping me puzzled, I have a normal physical strength and mana but I have a fragile body that can easily got bruised just by nodging me and I don't have mana control to basic magic spells. This is going to be hard life for sure. And I need to be careful in my spells, I guess I have the option of not using any spells but with that I need a Magic beast to fight for me.... Though it sounds like Nada.. He is a beastman after all-- No! That's a bad idea! He is a friend, a very good friend....

..."Dyrroth! Are you alright?! WHAT HAPPEN TO YOUR DELICATE ARM?!--"...

...His voice echoed the halls and I could tell the other patients in the Neighboring room is awake now because of his voice. No doubt. He was shaking I could feel from his touch. Looks like he was really worried. hmn.. Now it makes me want to be careful in the future. I pushed him back a little and I shook my head. He wiped his tears and calm down for a while. I give him a moment to calm down a little more before I give him a small reassuring smile to make him feel at ease. Another tight embrace was given to me and almost feel like dying. But at least, he was calm for now....

...Unfortunately, I was sent back home. My brother informed the teacher that I was excused. He take care of me for the rest of the day in my apartment. I just sat on my bed all day, it's very boring without doing nothing. He was asleep for a while next to my bed, I guess he was tired of crying earlier. What a drama king, he worried too much. I woke him up by shaking him a little and call out for him. Luckly he was not a heavy sleeper unlike our other siblings....

We got in the forest in no time. I am already pretty tired to keep up with him. Even I didn't run I still feel tired. He placed me down and I immediately sat down. "Dyrroth! Are you alright? " He asks and I just nodded as a response. After a moment I got back up and head to the forest with him. I want to use magic but I can't, I just can't use them recklessly since it's demon magic. As we look further the harder I could get a glimpse of any monster. I am getting upset since there's no monsters on sight, that means I can't have a familiar. I already feel defeated....

..." ***Hey! Cheer up! I'm sure we could find a a suitable one for you alright?.. "...

..." Find a suitable for me? I don't see any monsters.. "...

..."Eh? Dyrroth they are surrounding us right now. Don't tell me you haven't unlocked Beast perception?! "...

...I could tell he want to collapse himself. He can't believe I don't have that. anyways what even is that? He reached out and Pat my head. He looked at me dead in the eye and says, " Try concentrating your magic.. " He said and so I did. It took me a moment to complete it. WHAT IN TARNATION IS THIS?! -- I could see them.. there's a lot of them! WHAT ARE THOSE?! I want to scream right now. I could tell my expression says it all. I'm in shock, really in shock this things exist in this world! When in the world they exist?! ...

..." Are you alright? You're making a funny expression! " ...

...I am lost of words, why isn't he freaking out when there is so many monsters surrounding us?! He started laughing which I hate in him. Laughing in not a laughing situation. Looking like he's a psycho for a moment. I calm down for a little and looked around. I saw a a ball of water and take them by hand. it's like a droplet of water. Though I feel so small for some reason. I want it. I looked at Tyrann and he gets what I meant. I want to make a contract with this little Droplet. ...

..." That's a slime.. They came from different types though I have never saw a kind that is a pure white snow not the text books tell about it. It must be rare. Do you want it? " ...

...I nodded immediately and held the little slime. Their body was very soft and cold. I made a contract with him and though in the middle of the ritual, I could feel that he fed on my mana. Which was a good thing. it was a success and it jumped towards me. He healed my wound with a drop of their water and it instantly regenerate. Who would know a mere slime could actually do this? I smiled and I could already tell my brother is looking at me smiling brighter than me. I named him Droplet... Yes I know. I am bad at names.. ...

...Nada made his way back to his apartment and stops by at his friend's since he want to check on him. He saw the doors are wide open. He heard noise from the kitchen andsaw a panicking woman. ...

..."WHERE ARE THOSE GUYS!!?? " ...

...The woman screams but he didn't dare to bother her. So he made his way to Dyrroth's Room and looked for him. He found his friend sleeping on his bed with a slime beside him. He sighed in relief that he found his friend resting in place. Looking at the little slime and saw a mark sayig"Droplet " and came to conclusion that it's Dyrroth's familiar. He was a bit upset since Dyrroth miss his first day because of an accident and he hopes that he will be able to come to school regularly. ...

...He then place a notebook beside the table and went out. Closing the door in Dyrroth's room and looked for the woman panicking inside the kitchen and realize that she wasn't there anymore and the kitchen was now in good state, all clean. He was confused but didn't mind about it so he just closed the door and went back to his apartment in relief....
