Episode 6

I woke up very early and prepared a delicious breakfast for the gentlemen we have as guests. Mrs. Monica looked at me and said that there was a sparkle in my eyes suggesting a new love that has entered my heart. I blushed and replied that she shouldn't say things that aren't true. She came closer, holding my chin, repeating that she had been through it too, and mentioned her 25 years of marriage. I sighed, and that's how we finished breakfast. We moved on to setting the table when Santino and Mr. Marcos arrived. We all sat down while Mrs. Monica went to fetch Lucero, who was in the room watching a Disney movie. They arrived, and we were all gathered to start breakfast. The atmosphere was pleasant, although Santino couldn't stop looking at me and my little one, which made me feel nervous. Once we finished eating, Santino asked if we were ready to go to Italy. I responded affirmatively and got up to give instructions to Mrs. Monica and Mr. Josue, my butler. After finishing talking with them, I packed what I needed for 15 days for my baby, and if necessary, I would buy more in Italy. Before leaving, I hugged Mrs. Monica, and she asked me if I was sure about going. I looked into her eyes and confirmed my decision, but in her gaze, it felt like she was silently telling me not to go. I was about to ask her when Santino interrupted us, asking if we were leaving or planning to spend the rest of the day there, which I found quite rude. I got into the car with my baby by my side since his vehicle didn't have seats for infants or small children. I remained silent, looking at the vineyard that has grown so much thanks to my effort and hard work.

Santino

We're on our way to the airport to go to Italy. I was a bit rude to the lady, but if a few more minutes had passed, we wouldn't have traveled to Italy. I had a feeling I would make Anna doubt her decision to travel. Even though she calls herself Anny, I know it's not true. But once we arrive in Italy, she will know that lying has consequences.

We arrived at the airport, and I tried to be as polite as possible. Sighing, we boarded my private jet, ready to take off. Once we were in the air, a smile spread across my face. I've got you now, little one. There's nothing you can do, especially not fight back in my territory, where I hold great power.

Anny

We arrived at the airport and boarded a private flight. The jet was owned by Santino, luxurious as expected from him and his family. I also come from a wealthy background, but I've never liked flaunting it. Now I understand why my sister, Anna, got entangled with Franco. Well, what can you expect from a lazy woman? Women like her only enjoy being taken care of and not earning their own money. It's sad to speak of my sister in such terms, but it's the truth. Instead of focusing on her looks, vanity, and finding someone to support her, she should have prepared herself, worked hard, and built her own empire. But she's a weak woman because strong women don't need a man to sustain them. Lost in thought, I diverted my gaze towards Santino and noticed the same look he had when he first arrived at the house, but this time, accompanied by a smile that sent chills down my spine. Immediately, I remembered Mrs. Monica, and a feeling commonly known as a bad omen settled in my chest. I turned my attention to my little one, who was absorbed in her tablet, watching cartoons. I kissed her forehead, praying that everything remains the same and nothing changes.

After a few hours, we arrived, and Santino remained kind. We left the airport with Lucero asleep in my arms. She had eaten some fruit during the journey and was tired.

We arrived at a very luxurious and beautiful mansion where the butler greeted us in Italian. I understood perfectly as I am a highly educated woman who studied and learned several languages, including French, Italian, Spanish, and of course, English. I replied to the gentleman's greeting, and Santino stared at me in disbelief, forgetting that I could speak Italian. To avoid an argument, I remained silent and didn't say anything, confusing him once again with my sister. The staff took my belongings to one room and Lucero's to another, seemingly organized by Santino. I noticed that Lucero's room was a bit far from mine, so I pointed that out to Santino, expressing concern that she might feel scared being so far away from me. After all, she didn't know anyone in the mansion and needed time to get used to the new faces. He looked at me and dismissively replied that it wasn't important because once she got to know our grandmother, she wouldn't need me anymore. I was about to say something when he disappeared down a hallway. I entered my room, not even bothering to unpack, and went straight to my daughter's room. When I arrived, she was with a lady who introduced herself as the nanny. She seemed very kind, and I stayed with her, helping to organize Lucero's clothes. I was surprised by the amount of clothing in the closet, all perfectly sized for Lucero. I asked the nanny how long the clothes had been there, and she informed me that her boss had called last night, and everything had been bought and organized that morning. Leaving Lucero sleeping, I left the room and went in search of Santino. I needed to talk to him and clarify a few things, including the fact that we would only be staying here for about 15 days before returning to my vineyard. Once Lucero became familiar and comfortable with her grandparents, she could come back for vacations. I walked until I reached the main hall and noticed a large painting of someone who looked exactly like my Lucero, undoubtedly Franco. I felt the urge to touch the painting, but before I could, I heard a male voice shouting at me, questioning what I was doing and how I dared to touch his son. I turned around and saw him, his eyes filled with hatred. I couldn't understand why they hated me, or rather, why they hated Anna so much when, as far as I knew, Franco died in an accident. That's what Anna told me, but could there be something more to it? I stood there frozen, about to respond, when Santino arrived with his mother. As I looked at her, I saw a beautiful woman, and I gave her a smile. In her presence, I finally felt like someone in this place, someone who was welcomed.
