Chapter 5 : The start of her Vengeance

Azalea and Vin were met by her Grandparents at the foot of the grand staircase, her friends greeted the old couple respectfully and introduce themselves..

Azalea saw that the Devons are coming on their way along with Sheena, she smiled and her friends immediately get what she means and they all nod..

"My dear, your family are all here.." her Grandmother said happily..

She look at their way and she stiffened, she can see the couple's cold expression but they are not the reason why she stiffened..

"Mom!!" she exclaimed and her tears fell..

She run towards them and Moira was about to reprimand her but the young woman just run passed them..

Everyone was shocked to see that, especially when they recognized the woman that Azalea called mom and hugging right now, the youngest daughter of the De Rossi couple, Amery De Rossi, Azalea's Aunt and adopted mother..

"Look at you my baby, you're all grown up now.." Amery said and hugged her daughter tightly..

It's been 10 years since the last time they saw each other, she knew that her eldest sister and her family will come here to get her back that's why she decided to come home to see her one last time..

"I missed you so much mom.." Azalea said still in tears..

"I missed you more my princess.. Come on, you'll ruin your make up.." Amery said and move away from her..

"I'm still pretty even if I ruined my make up mom.." Azalea said that made the woman laugh happily..

"Come on dear, it's in our blood.." Amery replied that made her smile..

"No, it only runs between us.. We're mother and daughter that's why we're both pretty.." Azalea said and they both laugh..

"No, no, no!! it runs between us three don't you think?!" Rosalie, Azalea's Grandmother said with a raised eyebrow..

"Of course Grandma but what about Grandpa?!" Azalea ask teasingly..

"Ah don't mind me, I'm allowing you mother and daughter to think that your looks came from your Grandma but.. Your talents and smartness came from me.." Angelo said proudly that made the three women laugh..

Seeing them having a happy family talk made Moira's heart ache, since the day they abandoned this estrange daughter, her own family started to alienate themselves from her..

"Mom, are you really their family?!" Sheena ask innocently that made her hate her biological daughter more..

"Shut the fuck up!!" Ryzen exclaimed dangerously..

"Know your place brat.." Raven warned coldly before pulling his twin brother away from them..

"What's wrong with these children?!" Moira ask flabbergasted..

"If you don't want us to snap everytime she'll talk, then control your daughter's mouth.. Tell her not to meddle in our family affairs.." Alexus said coldly before following his brothers..

Moira watched as her three sons joined the De Rossi's happy talk and she frowned when she noticed how Azalea were interacting with her brothers that she only met..

They look like they've known each other for a long time by the way they're smiling and talking to each other..

Klein can't help but to feel envious while watching his three brother's interaction with their sister, he wants to join them badly but he already made a choice and he must endure it..

"They look so happy aren't they?!" a voice said that got their attention..

Klein looked behind them and saw the people who escorted Iris a while ago, the young Lieutenant Colonels..

"What are you guys doing here?!" General Devon ask that made Shion smirk..

"We're here to escort the Lady.." Shion said with a charming smile..

"Don't you dare lie to us!!" Moira snapped that got everyone's attention..

"Hoh~ you may be older than us but don't forget that we all have a higher rank than you, first Lieutenant Devon.." Hera said coldly..

"You may be the General's wife but you're still a first Lieutenant, know your place.." Jaze said lazily..

"Hold up, I already know what you're going to say General so don't bother.. We're not abusing our military power here, we're just acting like what every higher ranked military officer would do once the lower ranked suddenly snapped at them.." Jared said seriously..

"What's going on here?!" Azalea ask with a small smile..

"Your friends are bullying our mother sister!!" Sheena said in tears..

Azalea looked at the woman in front of them, she was too eager to be accepted in the family that's why she always falls victim on her scheme..

"Our mother?! Mom, when did you adopted a sister for me?!" Azalea ask towards Amery with a cute frown and Amery already knew that this daughter of hers is up to something..

"I didn't, you're my only daughter dear.." Amery said in confusion..

She knows Azalea too well but she just didn't expect that she's going to do it to her own biological mother..

"You said that 'our' mother is being bullied and you also called me sister but my mother didn't adopt you then who's your mother?!" Azalea ask in confusion..

"She's our adopted sister.." Ryzen said through gritted teeth..

"Oh~ so you're my Aunt's daughter, I was startled when you suddenly said the word 'our mom'.." Azalea said emphasizing the two words that shocked everyone especially, Moira..

"You should call me cousin sister not just sister since we're cousins, other people might get the wrong idea that I have a sister.." Azalea added that angered Moira more..

"Azalea Iris Devon!! Enough is enough!!" Moira yelled angrily that made everyone stop from what they're doing..

"Sheena is your sister whether you like it or not!!" Moira exclaimed again..

"Are you okay Aunt?! Are you forcing my mom to have another daughter?!" Azalea ask calmly..

"Aunt?! I am your mother and she's your Aunt!!" Moira yelled angrily while pointing at Amery..

Azalea suddenly started laughing that shocked everyone, they are all thinking now that the poor young lady didn't know the truth..

"It's been a long time since I last laugh like this.." Azalea said and was about to wipe away the tears from too much laughing with her hand but Vin beat her to it..

"Be careful My Lady, a dirt might get into your eyes.." he said seriously before carefully wiping the tears at the corner of her eyes..

"Where were we?! Oh right~ you said that you are my mother and my mother is my Aunt right?! Yes, I know that.." Azalea said with a playful smile on her lips that shocked everyone again..

"I know that you conceived me, bear me in your womb for nine months and gave birth to me but not because you did all of that you can now call yourself my mother.. The moment you decided to abandon me, was also the moment you cut our mother-daughter ties.. Your sister, the one you're calling my Aunt, was the one who accepted me, named me, raised me, taught me a lot of things, treat me like her own and gave me the motherly love that I needed the most was the only one I'm acknowledging as my mother.. So please don't call yourself my mother, you're just humiliating yourself coz everyone knows what you did to me.." Azalea said ruthlessly..

"Watch your language young lady.." General Devon said coldly..

"Nah~ I am free to say whatever I want, I'm a free person in a free country, what can you do to me?!" Azalea ask innocently..

"We know that you're mad from what we did but we are here now to get you back, no matter what you do or say, you're still a Devon Azalea.." General Devon said..

"That's where you're wrong General Devon.. Have you forgotten?! I'm just a Devon by blood but not in name that's why you can't take me away especially by force.. I was named and registered as a De Rossi so you guys don't have the right to take me away and take note, I'm 19 already, I'm an adult ******now******.. Do you want to force my mom to revoke the adoption?! even if we bring this to the court, you'll lose just by desertion or abandonment and your possible penalties are incarceration, you'll be convicted of desertion of a child under 10 years old, you'll face no less than one year and no more than 10 years in prison, you don't want that do you?! I actually really like to bring this to the court if you'll ask me, coz once you were convicted of child abandonment, you'll lose your parental rights over me.." Azalea said like a professional lawyer that stunned them..

I will never run back to your family just because you said that I'm your daughter, I already have a mother and I don't want anyone else especially, a woman who abandoned her child as soon as she was born.. Amery Jin De Rossi is my one and only mother, she will be the one who will walk me down the aisle once I get married, she will be the only mother in law that my future husband will acknowledge and she's the one and only Grandmother of my future children, please don't ever forget that Mr. and Mrs. Devon.." Azalea said icily while hugging Amery who had been crying since she declined her parents rights to her..

Moira had been rooted in her spot since Azalea started to speak, she thought that she won't feel anything for this daughter but every words that came out from her mouth is like a thousand knives, piercing through her heart..

She is feeling jealous and hurt while watching her estrange daughter, hugging and kissing her sister, they look like a real mother and daughter and that hurts her..
