The New World, New Problem

Just as when Serpto is about to enter the portal,

something flashed in his minds. The building tour is about to begin

right at any moment, I better make haste. But I need to visit my buds in the

server. Serpto shakes the

thought off, and proceed into the portal.

The feeling is dizzy, the feeling is ripping one

minds, and it feels like zooming at a high speed. But it didn’t hurt or

whatsoever because it is only in a moment, and it is just an eye illusion.

As the vision begin to clear, the sky slowly

appeared in bright blue color, the wind whistles and pushes his robe, the bird

chirping as if singing in a beautiful manner, the land truly display a

wonderful color of green and brown of land there is no more perfect nature than

this.

This world is like a real world, even though I

can't feel anything due to my avatar, I can feel it in my skin outside this

virtual world, really, truly a wonderful world far away from the cities.He walked down a

familiar dirt path, which climbed high into the mountain in the distance. Gradually,

a cabin appeared in his vision. It was a cabin that he had never seen before in

his usual spawn spot.

“Did the player knew where I spawned, but I never

spoke of this to anybody… except them” He spoke to himself, fear cannot be seen

in his skull face, but the voice truly sounds of a sign of worry.

Obviously, Serpto take a careful step toward this

mysterious cabin, he munches a quiet silent arcane word. Aspect of Cat’s. Aspect of Cat’s is a magic used for stealthing because cat is rather a stealthy

creature, its footstep is quiet because the skin is absorbing the vibration in

every step they make, also their jump is so high nearly five to six times their

body height, everyone knows the saying cats always land on their feet.

Serpto took cautious steps towards the cabin, as

if he were paranoid about something. It seemed to take him forever to reach his

destination.Through the window he peeked, a comfy single sofa, near a fireplace

aesthetically designed like any cabin house found in the western country. Gazing

endlessly, looking anywhere, he didn’t find anyone living there. I'm gonna

go inside, just in case, some belongings or notes might have been stored there.

Searching up and down, left to right, shelves to

shelves a book then he found with weird drawings, but it proves no uses as it

is a common book found in the game, and yet nothing. Why am I even searching

for this, for all I know it might be just a coincidence this cabin was built

here.

After a while of searching, he gives up on it,

along with the spell to end its duration of 3 minutes. A soft footstep was

heard, it sounds of a boot hitting a rock—stone floor, basement. Serpto reacted

with quick reflexes, drawing a star in the air in front of him with his finger,

followed by a purple light shaping its form. He then pushed his palm onto it,

and an around it appeared. Summon: Incarnate. A small, dark, hairless

fiend creature appeared from the ground and then left a blood trail. The

creature then raised its head and looked at its master, as if to say,  What is my command.

“Find where the basement is and locate the person

making the noises”

The creature rushes straight to searching, after

a moment, it found a hidden hatch in the kitchen, a classic spot for a hatch

from medieval age. It then made its way down the ladder, and a scream then

echoes from the dark place. The being then slowly emerges itself, it is a

child, a girl that dresses in a surprisingly neat, gorgeous, and expensive

dress with many accessories she wore really depict the riches, she must have

come from the noble family or perhaps higher curious about the origin of the

girl Serpto draws a spell again but this time it is a not a star shaped but

rather a circle with a blue color. Inspect.

A panel then appeared before him, which only a

player who cast the spell could see. The data shown in the panel is a

description and information big enough to plan a grand strategy upon anyone who

have been inspected by this spell, but what makes it unique is when an NPC is

being inspected, the information is shown differently, such is the tragedy now.

An NPC child, is left behind by its parent, left in a dark cold basement which

is locked from the outside with heavy crates and barrels.

“Skeleton! Please don’t hurt me, m-my mom and dad

will soon be here, and you will regret it” The little girl spoke while she runs

further into the corner of the room, clearly she was shaken before even

thinking of retreating.

“If she is an NPC this must be a quest trigger, I

hate it when a quest like this suddenly appeared. Let me just abandon the quest

right away” Upon opening his panel tab, he clearly sees the different. There

are no new quests being registered in his Quest Tab, but instead his high

leveled unfinished quest, dozens of them.

Then this is a real accident? An accident real

enough like real life? This is bad, I'm gonna pull back the Incarnate if I'm

gonna speak to her. “Don’t

worry now, the monster have been defeated, let's bring you to the nearest city,

what say you?”

“MONSTERS! I will never gonna follow you, just

you see my father will bring a Campase-Sized Adventurers to beat your butt” She

said while waving around a nearby stick she found lying around near her, she

doesn’t even look away from Serpto, not even a second, as if a prey wary of its

hunter

Serpto sighs, and lower is head as if saying why

did I even bother. He thought to himself, why did he even bother going to

the child, it is no longer a serious matter, it is not a player knowing his

spawn spot.

“Look kid, let me just take you to the nearest

city, I don’t think your family will ever return, we should just—”

Suddenly dozens of footfall is marching toward

the building, the sound of the ground changes but the previous still can be

heard. It is the sound of an army, but an army of what?. A loud shriek

followed by a crash and stomping so aggressive, that make it obvious what it is

without further guessing and waiting

“An army of goblins, a lot of them and they are

well-equipped too it sounds”

“goblins? What make you say that, monster. A

monster should understand each other, you must be their leader, that is the

only possibility. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have found my father cabin, what do

you seek vile monster!”

Sigh, I can't convince this rock-hard child, she

barely understood the situations, but I wouldn’t blame her for such thinking

she must have through a lot.With a click of his bony finger, he came with a

decision and prepares the spell

"I'm gonna blow this whole place up, that

should kill all the goblins—”

“W-What?! You can't just come here and blow our

house, this is blasphemy—”

The scream then becomes louder and the crash

becomes more violent, soon a glowing red eyes descend from the ladder. However,

from such an uncultured creature, they did not climb they fell and jumped.

Slowly, their number increased in the basement, as more of them found where the

scent of fresh meat was: the little girl.

“Eeek! Somebody help! I don’t want to end up as

goblin plaything or their dinner”

“Sigh, what a drag this is. I shouldn’t come in

this place as soon as I know an NPC living here, damn you curiosity”

Serpto then quickly draws the arcane sign with

both of his hands he created the magic circle with hexagram in each hand, then

slowly pulls his hand creating another hexagram then sealed the magic circle

with a gentle push making it glows with more menacing aura. Volleyballs of

Fire, Volleyballs of Fire.

A barrage of fireballs shoots from each of his

hand, it is not a normal fire, the fire is hotter than a normal fire, it is a

blue fire with higher hydrogen concentration. The goblin could not fall

back—they cannot win in the first place against a rain of barrage of a hotter

flame, blue flame. Their friends only could do so much to watch their friends

burning with each fireball hit them. Finally, after realizing they are

overpowered they run and left the cabin leaving dozens of their friends behind,

for good, probably.

“That is that, for now. I think they will not

return here”

“S-So that is goblin, huh? I-I saw one of them

while returning home just a while ago, but they have something in mind to do,

so they told me to go home first. I-I think they got them…”

The young girl, stares at the body piles she

clenches her fist, with all her might before letting a scream with rage

consuming her, she grabs the stick and thump, thump, thump, thump.

“You bastard! Bastard! Damn you! Curses these

monsters, what have you done to my parents! I'll kill every single one of you”

The young girl then felt a jolt of surprises,

because a bony hand touches her shoulder and suddenly stops her tantrum. She

turned herself, and face the being

“What do you think, does my parent still alive?

What am I gonna do without them” she lowers her head, a tantrum which just

recently been shown is no longer, her voices crack, and she covers her face

with both of his hands trying to hide her grief

“I know how you felt, kid. The offer still stood,

let's head to the city it is much safer there than here, I'm gonna locate these

goblins, and hunt their nest along with every single one of them”

“T-Then I'm going with you, I want to get my

revenge. H-hopefully I will found my parents there, with a glimpse of hope,

they still alive”

“Don’t bother yourself….

Serpto turns to the little girl, raising one of

his hand high enough for her to see all the magic affinities in one of his

hand, she just stood there, mesmerizing the magic dances in his finger, then

taps out

You can't even defend yourself”

“You cannot stop me monster, I am going no matter

what you say to me”

“Persistent girl, fine, but I won't bother

protecting you”

He then climbs the ladder first, standing

motionless there, the girl then quickly follows him as if not wanting to be

left behind. The two of them walks carefully, entering the wood beside the

cabin.

This is really a lot of footsteps and this dirty

dirts which they left behind is still in the ground, even a child could know

where they are hiding. The young girl could not help but find where his gaze is

being placed at, and soon she too know

“We better proceed with care, we don’t even know

how many of them left, besides there must be other—”“I found you now, you vile goblins wait for me!”

The young girl rushes and left Serpto behind, his

only protector, with a knife she grabs from her house, she head straight to the

marks, she ran with all of her might she won't have any strength to fight if

this keep going

—Is she for real?! Damn it”

Knowing what will help, Serpto body moves on his

own, he quickly catches up with the girl and grabs her arm before entering a

dark cave, its entrance is so big it could fit a common house.

“What, are you a blind or something? Couldn’t you

see this massive cave in front of you, imagine a whole horde just appeared, and

you are alone, can you fight them?”

“Releases me at once, you vile monster. I will

have my revenge on every single one of them, this does not concern you, argh

releases mee!”

“You fool, you are blinded by rage. Think this

carefully, smart-***, you will not your revenge if you died first. This is my concern

now, a horde of goblin is worth a fortune to me, while you could get your nasty

revenge”

Upon hearing what Serpto just said, the girl now

calms herself, she stood there head low probably thinking, he releases his grip

on her after knowing she has calmed down

“For now let's enter the cave with care, come

here”

“You better plan a good one, I want every single

one of them gone from this ugly cave”

“Damn princess, calms down and follow what I say

for now”

Serpto then munches another arcane word, but this

time every word is different, the young girl can only face him as if saying What

are you saying. The arcane word is not a spell nor a skill, it is a magic

learned from the advanced class of witchery. The magic emit light from the

ground and suddenly…Nothing happened

“What did you just say, monster? Are you calling

the goblin or something”

“Complete the opposite, let's go now, walk

carefully and follow me”

Serpto then walks alone at first, the young girl

couldn’t believe her eyes, but soon follows him anyway. They walk with careful

step, avoiding bones and any fragile object to step into. Then a goblin

appeared in the near end cave, its eye glows red, the small agile creature is

alerted, it jumps to their direction and—nothing it seems the bone from their

previous hunt caught its attention then it continues walking casually as if

there are no intruders in it.

“W-What is this, is he blind? Why didn’t they

attack us?”

“It seems you are not familiar with this kind of

magic, this is an invisibility magic, it let us stay invisible for a certain

moment for a group of party and granting them the ability to see each other.

Such is the magic, called Group of Chameleons.”

So they proceed further deep into the cave, they passed

through dozens of the goblin roaming free, randomly in the cave, their eyes are

the only thing visible in the cave, as they glow bright, a pair of red lights,

since there is so little light in the cave, the both of them have difficulties

proceeding and must be very careful not to trigger their attention.

”This is taking longer than I expected, we must

hurry. The magic will soon fade, any minutes now”

“W-what am I supposed to do, we need to be

careful you said, and now we must hurry? How are we supposed to rush it then”

“Girl, give me your gloves, I'm gonna use it to

put in fire on it, so I could distract the goblins in front”

“What?! This glove is given from my father, it is

worth more than you could even imagine, you vile skeleton! Like I could just

give it away a gift from my dearest father to you like that and then putting it

on fire”

“Look we are running out of time here, those

goblins soon might know we are here, so please just hand it over, besides if we

didn’t use it and who knows, your parent might still be alive just beyond these

guards. What do you say, your gloves or our progress toward finding your

parent?”

A moment of silence, the small girl is thinking

hard while she searches her own pocket finding an alternative then she grabs a

pile of bone and throws one by one to the same directions, the goblin heard it,

the sound of the fall echoes within the cave, but who knows how much have heard

the noises, the goblins which in front of them soon comes to the sound origin,

they are searching for it thinking it was a living being but despise their

ability to see in the dark, they are surprisingly—an idiot.

I see what you are doing there, nice job despite

the risk this is a risk I'm willing to take or so, we will sprint like a rabbit

after this. Serpto

then readies his hand drawing a shape of a star, this spell does not glow, but

it reeks of smell and drippling with blood then after a moment the blood

evaporates turning it into a smoke around the spell. Overload.

The group of goblins then turned themselves to

Serpto who was loud enough to caught their attention, but they cannot run or

rather they cannot move, as their weight keep increasing by every second, their

body getting fatter and fatter, they cannot do anything about it only screams

escapes from their mouth, until finally they explode, blood splatters

everywhere as the group of goblins is overfilled with blood from head to toe.

The explosion was very loud, the echoes can be heard several times throughout

the cave which then finally caught the attention of the whole goblins in the

area, thousands of aggressive footfalls can be heard in the other side of the

cave they are heading toward the noise origin.

“Quick now, we must make haste, they will come

here any seconds now”

Serpto take the stunned girl’s arm and then run

as fast as they can, luckily no goblins patrolling ahead as if this is as far

as they can get, until they see something that a goblin could not ever build, a

totem, a whole corridor filled with corpse totems, a single totem uses several

corpses to build. What monster or maniac borned the idea to create this sick

shit. The totem then lights, as they make steps further into the mysterious

corridor, as the light begin to travel further a gigantic wooded double door.

“H-Hey, skeleton…

The girl points at the most unique, different,

and known totem, she points toward it eyes gauge in terror Serpto couldn’t help

but inspect it after then he knows why she points out the totem.

my parents… I should have known they would end up

like this, after I know what this forest filled with, after you come—no after

the goblin arrived at my home, but…but this is a bit too extreme, I wish they

could end up more peaceful at least”

“I'm sorry for your lost, we could give them a

proper burial later, after we deal to whomever did this to them”

She just nods, head still low, she couldn’t look

at the totem nor at him. However, there are no tears, she could probably hold

her own feeling, such burden for a child.

They stand again before the gate, the metal creak

loudly, dust fallen. Until the wide corridor shown behind the gigantic door, it

is so long, a whole forest could fit leaving still a massive space. The light

one by one turned on showing its beautiful decor and the still shiny marble

pillars, beside the room beauty there is dirt, a bloody dirt, a pile of corpses

almost filling the entire floor of the room, at the end of the room there is a

being, or rather a monster. It has 4 horns in his head all pointing to the same

direction, forward, its skin is red but not as red as blood, his massive claw

can even be seen from the distance, that is because the creature alone is

equivalent with the size of the room, he just sat there enjoying his snack,

human, elves, imp, weaker demon, all living being with flesh lies in the room.

“Does my meal finally walk itself into my

chamber? Strange I didn’t ask to be brought a living creature here, not a pile

of bones and not a…

The monster grin showing hundreds of small pointy

teeth which he had, it is surprisingly clean for a creature that hobbies

himself toward food a fresh one that is, he looks at the girl which cower in

fear standing behind Serpto

Candy.”
