Another Murder?
Edgar the homeless, at least that's what everyone in this little town called him ever since he made a sudden entrance here. He is a 68 year old man, whose fate didn't work to his favour in the long term. Generally, luck wasn't by his side but his considerably worst event is very recent. He escaped Iron city due to it's rather hard to catch up financial preferences, one old man with no skill can't make it in the big city alone. Edgar could barely save up any coins and would likely be in debt by now if he didn't share a house with his son who covered more than half of the house expenses, plus the rent. His son never said anything about it, welcoming his father with open arms even. But when Edgar noticed his 32 year old son getting gray hair out of stress, splitting paths started sounding like the best solution. His son has a wife and kids too, they as a family demand care. Feeling fairly capable to live low on a small town, after strong will and a heavy argumentwith his son who insisted for Edgar to stay, the old left that house in Iron city and started his journey to reach the village of Blenar. Considering the bronze coins that he saved up over the years, Edgar feels confident with the amount, knowing that he has enough for at least a few years. Edgar is 68 years old, the likeness of him living after 71 is rather slim, so thousands of coins aren't really necessary for a living. He has enough to live on low standards in this little town, while maybe doing a side task just to live by. And maybe old Edgar would have made a fair living that way, but in the middle of his Journey to this little village, he got mugged. Jumped by a couple of Bandits, over powered, beaten beyond prepare and finally stripped of his valuable belongings.
However the old man didn't care about the bronze coins as much as he cared about one little silver necklace. He got that necklace from his little 5 year old niece, who cried beyond calming downwhen her Grandfather chose to part ways. At the end, removing the necklace from her neck, gently handed it to Edgar and whispered. "If you run out of food, you can sell this Grandpa." She didn't know the Value of the Necklace, it wasn't exactly expensive. Even if it was, he would have no intention of selling it, would rather starve actually. His little Niece gave it to him after all. A rather terrible fate, it broke his heart. The old man lost that necklace, the only thing he could remember his niece by. Now he's tad traumatized, he can't take the road to Iron city on foot again. Now, If Edgar had those bronze coins, he would be living in a cozy little home, sippin on some nice black tea in front of a warm fire. Considering age, it is a strong hassle for him to get hired on small tasks in exchange for coins. He didn't expect it to be this hard to work here, fairly underestimated everything about this trip. Some Townsfolk found the privilege to feed him a few times when they heard about his terrible fate. But they all live in a remote area with food scarce, most can only help so much even if they wanted to help more. Some even shared their meal with him, sat down to keep him company as well. Everyone needs someone to talk too and Edgar will always appreciate those people. But what would you say if I told you that his bad fate finally ended his sorrow? Tremendous bad luck at least but yet for him, a strong blessing. Murder! In his little tent provided by a villager for Edgar to have a chance against the blistering november cold. As he's curled up in his sleeping bag, a silent Murder struck this village. Even while he's sound asleep, dreaming, He dreamt of his niece, crying over the fact that he won't see her again. Whoever or whatever found the heart to kill such an innocent old man, escaped unscaved, unnoticed, with a superior position. Who, brought murder upon this small village? Scrap that question. Why, bring murder to this village? Its people barely have enough to fill their stomachs, but they grabbed a clay plate, sat down with Edgar and shared a meal with him. You can never find enough reasons to justify murder upon anyone in this town, even for newcomers. One day passed and no one Noticed his terrible fate... He hasn't gone out of his tent all day, some didn't bother to check. And those who wanted to, got distracted by other tasks and forgot all about it. The murder was so clean, that blood didn't even drip out of the tent. His death has escaped unnoticed.
