Chapter V: No Fighting Inside The Bar!

The stealth plane departs for Japan. From the cockpit, Cole activates the jump speed. The plane entered a wormhole shortly after. "We'll arrive at Tokyo International Airport at 5 AM. Thank you for choosing ColeAir. Please enjoy our accomodations of alcohol, liquorice candies, cigarettes, and emergency rations of cheese flavoured bars." Cole jokingly spoke to the ship's intercom.

"Oh shut up Cole! Anyway, you sure we'll dye our hair?" Asked Theodore.

"Yes. Spare me the blond dye would ya?" Said Cole.

"Sure. I'll just use the dark violet color. This color suits me well."

"Oh yeah, don't forget about the contact lenses. We should disguise ourselves perfectly this time. Also ready your fake passports." Cole then handed three forged passports to each member of the team.

Theodore then opened his fake passport. Instantly, he looked at his disguised name for him. "Tack Killian? From America? What the hell Cole I'm not even close enough be called an American. Now let's see Ralph's fake passport." He then proceeds to open Ralph's passport. "Paul von Allen, Germany. Oh my God, the level of fancy of his name. It even has a signature watermark..." Theodore was stunned.

"Theodore? Are you okay? You're sweating." Ralph said after coming out from the bathroom.

"Remember boys, call me Naldo Chip." said Cole upon opening his own forged passport.

"Nothing. Hey, look good in Cole's outfit. Is that Cole's nishiki tie? Daizou will sure remembered that." Theodore complemented Ralph's outfit.

Meanwhile in Yokosuka, inside the IJN Naval Base, Daizou was suddenly contacted by Mike. He was informed about the team's arrival destroy a rumoured Japanese involvement in the Lunican-Junta War, suspecting Doctor Masaji Ishii for developing chemical weapons for the Junta government. Daizou also involved the Japanese Secret Police Detective Takahashi Majima into the investigation. But instead of telling Detective Majima the team's true name, he gave him their forged names and just calling them as "Hired Private Investigators". To hide the secret organisation.

Arriving in Tokyo, they are all immediately greeted by Daizou and Majima, both wearing civilian outfit to prevent suspicions. "Welcome to Japan, Gentlemen. Detective Majima, these people are hired to investigate Doctor Ishii's doings inside his lab. The one with blond hair is Detective Chip Naldo, the one with black hair is Detective Tack Killian, and the short one is Paul von Allen." Daizou introduces every single of the team. "Very well Admiral. Thank you for the additional help. I'm really in need of it. Gentlemen let me introduce myself. I am Detective Takahashi Majima, Chief Detective of the Kempeitai, a military police organisation that had been used throughout our whole existence to deal with underworld criminals. Yakuza and traitors alike. We will use any force necessary to bring them back to light, or to hell."

"Pleasure working with you Detective Majima." Cole shook hands with the detective.

"Likewise, Private Detective Chippu. Or I'll call you just Chi. I hate having to say 'ppu' everytime I call your name."

"Alright everyone, the supercar's waiting. Better get inside and I'll drive you all to my estate where you can all rest before tomorrow's briefing." Daizou escorted them out of the hangar, and into the airport parking lot, where Daizou's car is located.

"Yo Allen son, he got the same car as me." said Cole upon seeing the car.

"Sorry but, can you just stop getting overjoyed when seeing such cars, Chi?" and upon Ralph mentioned the nickname, Cole said,

"You know, I hated that nickname! Call me Naldo or Chip or something!"

On the road, Daizou explained everything to the agents. "So this is the issue. I've been observing Doctor Ishii of the Unit 731 for a long time. He is now developing some kind of a chemical weapon, a weaponized extract of the quite abundant pesticide flower called Lycoris Radiata. That flower, are literally everywhere in this archipelago, so mass production wouldn't be too hard. We need to prove that Doctor Ishii is selling Japan's invention to a potential enemy, so we can arrest him under high treason charge. After that, we'll destroy any research papers related to the development."

"The development of these kind of weapons are banned under the International Law. If we were caught by another nation, they can just put an embargo on us. Our future as a nation will be surely doomed as we shared a joint naval base alongside great powers like the Majapahit Empire and United States of America." Majima explained the details further.

"Thank you for the long story, Admiral. So, how can we start tomorrow?" Asked Cole.

Majima then opens his suit pocket. In his hand, are bar tickets. "Here, take these. These are tickets to the most luxurious bar in all of Japan. You'll need this to enter. We've already booked them for you. We'll meet the person himself, Doctor Ishii at this bar. But now, we need to rest. My ears' ringing already out of exhaustion. As if someone shot a pistol near my ears."

"Compress your ears with wet hot towel, Majima. Always worked on me." Commented Daizou.

That night, they arrived at Daizou's estate. It was big, and has many rooms. "I bet this is your first experience sleeping not on Lunica." Said Cole to Ralph.

After they all changed into their own sleepwear, Ralph saw Cole carrying his small briefcase. "Ralph. Fancy meeting you here, because I need to give you something."

Cole then opened his briefcase. Inside, is his old pistol from the time he was in the Lunican State Police. "It's been sitting here for almost 6 years. I want you to have it. Use it to save yourself when you're in danger. Stainless steel frame, walnut grip. You'll like her for sure. It even has my own initial, CN. And the magazine ejector beared the symbol of the Lunican Realm Police Corps." Cole gently wiped the pistol with his towel before giving it to Ralph. Ralph in return, thanked Cole. "Sir, I am honoured. I promise, I'll do my best with the gun you given me."

"Good spirit. Now, we need to rest. We have a long day waiting for us ahead."

The night went slow for Ralph. Still cannot sleep out of joy of being in a different country, went out from the house. And then, watching the stars above Japan. He thought to himself, "From out here, I don't see any blood, explosions, and violence. The world is better without wars. Maybe someday I can see Lunica as quiet as this."

The next day, the team moved out. Ralph packed up everything he will need for the meeting. He loaded his magazines with bullets before leaving the estate. Seeing Ralph loading, Cole approaches Ralph. "You better load half out of all magazines with rubber bullets. Sometimes not killing is the best move. We don't know what our enemies might be are."

Suddenly, Theodore slides the door behind them. "Car's ready Cole. Let's go." Said Theodore. "We'll be there in 5 minutes. Deliver my message to him."

"Yes sir." Then he left.

The team all moved into a SUV parked inside Daizou's garage. Daizou started the engines. "Detective Majima, you ready for this?" asks Daizou. "I'm ready. Let's go if we want to meet Ishii on the spot." Majima answered with confidence.

Not long, they finally arrived at the bar. "Ok people, conceal your weapons, and show the greeter your ticket, passport, and your IJA weapon permit cards, which are here in my hand. Take them all." Daizou then gave each member their own permit before entering. Immediately, Cole were shocked to see something unusual there. "Admiral, tell me about those kids wearing some kind school uniforms sitting at some tables?" And in which Daizou answered, "I don't know. But since the bar also put on some non-alcoholic options, those kids are not a threat. Follow me gentlemen." But despite Daizou telling everyone that they're not a threat, Cole kept his suspicion.

At last, they finally met Masaji Ishii himself, and he already ordered food and drinks for them all. "Ah, fancy meeting you here, Admiral Daizou and Detective Majima. And these gentlemen are?" Greeted and asked Ishii.

"They are foreign inspectors that will inspect the works of the kempeitai." Daizou answered his question calmly.

Suddenly, Cole told Ishii, "Excuse me for a while doc, I should go to the toilet."

"Of course. We'll wait for you here."

Cole went to the toilet, leaving others with Ishii. His suspicion got even higher the moment he got into the toilet. The "Students" are also there. Then Cole immediately sat on the toilet and shut the door tight. Cole thought to himself there, "I've seen this kind of trick before. Those are not students. My friends are in danger." Then suddenly, he heard a pistol metal slide clank. In a heartbeat Cole quickly loaded rubber bullet and put on his compact silencer. It is now or never. Cole kicked the door and pointed his pistol outside. At this moment, the puzzle pieces inside Cole's head were immediately completed. The students are in fact armed, and shot Cole. But it missed.

Cole with his military skill, in turn shot three students with rubber bullets, dropping them unconscious on the toilet floor. "What are your surprises here, Ishii? How despicable are you. Those are children, not soldiers."

Calmly, Cole came back to the main room without any sign of fear nor anger, as if that incident didn't happened. And based on the plan, they need to get Admiral Daizou out from the bar. With his phone, Cole calls Daizou, and then he pretends to talk with someone within the Navy and he has to left the bar immediately. Now it's only Majima, Ralph, Cole, and Theodore with Ishii. Cole then asked Majima, "Oh yeah, how's the weather in this country?" And in which Majima answered, "Bad."

It was a signal to alert all the team. Cole looked at his surroundings. And upon seeing the students loaded their pistols he shouted, "Everyone disperse!" As he pull out a smoke grenade. In an instant, the entire bar is full of smoke. "You figured everything eh, Detective? You're smart." Then Ishii laughs and quietly left the table.

"Rubber bullets. Now." Said Cole.

"Why?" Asked Theodore.

"The school children. They are armed, and they wanted to murder us all!" Cole said angrily.

"Isn't it easier to just kill them with normal bullets?" Asked Theodore.

"Children are non-combatants. We are forced to fight them in self defense. Just give them enough force to knock them down."

"Sir, yes sir!" said all members.

The team quickly evacuated the bar, and escaped with Daizou's SUV. "This is Alpha team, we lost him, over." said one of the schoolchildren with a walkie talkie. "Let him go this time. We'll catch them later on." from her walkie talkie, Ishii's voice can be heard.

"Just who exactly are they?!" Ralph shocked, and asked Cole the whole story. "Whoever are they, Ishii is indeed mad. He's using children now as his shield and sword. Tell me Allen, did he ever mentioned the gas that he planned on selling it to the Junta?" Asked Cole.

"He did mentioned the gas. Shortly before you came back from the toilet, he did mentioned something. A plantation of Lycoris Radiata flowers. Genetically modified to enhance the lethality of the poison. He called the modified flowers as 'Lycoris Radiata Auctus'. Maybe that little info was worth something." Ralph explained it all to Cole. "Then we must find the place. Detective Majima, can we be granted access temporarily of all locations owned by the IJA?" Asked Cole.

"Sure. All computers in Daizou's estate contained all locations owned by the Imperial Army. Maybe you can find the place there." Majima then gave Cole the card to access the data.

The mission isn't over yet. They are now compromised. And now, additional reinforcements has to be included. That tomorrow morning, Cole finally contacted Mike who's now still in Lunica.
