While waiting for Adela to return, Veronica and Alfred were strolling down the hallway. The weather suddenly became bad, and Adela was still out. Veronica stepped closer to the wall window, although the wind was making such a racket that it was audible.

Veronica remarked while gazing out the window at the pitch-black sky.

Alfred, what’s going on? My intuition tells me that something terrible is about to occur.

Alfred folded his hands and stood next to Veronica. He appeared to be concerned about something else as well.
