Elliot grinned mischievously at her and sat down on the comfy couch adjacent to the shelf that held the numerous awards she had won , crossing his leg on top the other he leaned back on the couch and his eyes scrutinized the shelf for his brows to furrow almost immediately .

Angel gaze still not leaving him watched him sat down and explored her award shelf, noticed him staring at a particular spot that contained her portrait of her a d her Italian partner , he was holding her waist and she was smiling beautifully at him when the camera man took the shot . She saw something briefly in his eyes but couldn't explain exactly what it was because it disappeared almost immediately

But she couldn't understand why he's been staring at the portrait for some minutes.

Elliot face grew darker at the thought of a random man holding her waist all in the name of investing in her new product project .

Angel couldn't fathom what's running through his mind , she tried dismissing the thought of him from her mind to focus on the issue at hand. She has a lot on her plate already with the consistent fraudulent activities going on and the police not having a hold on the fraudsters defrauding people , and other projects going on in her company .

So she doesn't have the luxury to think of any other thing right now. But his next sentence brought back her already drifting attention to him.

" I want to invest in your upcoming project , I heard the other investors pulled away". She heard him say nonchalantly

" You heard or....you investigated ", she replied with the same nonchalant tone giving him the look, she can't let this man have his way, not that easily.

" it can't be helped I mean , it's a digital world Angel , news travel fast than you imagine ", he shrugged his shoulders and answered not minding the fact that he admitted to it.

" I also heard you acquired Peak Corporation ", I guess news do travel fast she replied sarcastically still not giving in.

" I also heard that Gwen Kings is the model that you chose for your company ads, I want her to shoot an ad for us if that's fine with you.

" My secretary will handle that for you , am looking forward to our cooperation ", Elliot replied to hear her response " Same here Mr Elliot"

Rose arrived at her villa after getting her wrist treated at the hospital , she came home with a gauze wrapped around it .

She walked straight to her living room and sat down when her house keeper Lisa walked up to her with her hands behind her back and her head bent low a little.

". Your food is ready ma'am "

" Did William come over today like I instructed ? " Rose asked not responding to her greeting which she thought was irrelevant.

" No ma'am , he.....called to say that he won't be coming home tonight" Lisa replied her with a shaking voice.

Rose turned her head abruptly to face Lisa when she heard her say her son won't be coming back home tonight after she told him specifically to.

Rose gritted her teeth in anger , she can't understand why her son is being irresponsible . William of all people should be the one to understand her and her reasons for being so desperate to get him fixed in the Park's family , but it seems her son is being shallow and feeble minded all of a sudden.

She signalled Lisa to go, and picked her phone and the call connected at the first ring " Send me Williams location immediately" she ended the call without giving the other party a chance to reply her.

She knew with the rate things are going if she doesn't act fast , things will be ugly for her son , She wasn't called Rose Arthur for nothing she had to pull some strings behind this time around so that things will turn to their favour. She didn't sacrifice her self twenty seven years ago to become a laughing stock now . No ! she's not a quitter, she has come too far to quit now.
