Margaret blinked at Isabel in surprise when she heard her say she was Angel's friend because her daughter never had any female friends non that she know of , all her acquaintances were male, business partners Male except the come with their wives.

She knew that her Angel is yet to break out of her trauma of being betrayed by a friend and someone she branded as her best friend. She was still trying to enquire more from Isabel about her friendship with Angel when the door swung open revealing Angel and Elliot silhouettes.

Isabel knew her brother was coming to get her , "but not this early she hissed , not when things are getting good.

Snapping out of her shock of seeing Angel with a man in her house , she went and embraced her daughter with her eyes still not leaving Elliot who was obviously shocked at seeing his sister being so carefree and lively for the first time after coming back from the states .

" You unfilial daughter you now know not to pick your mother's call !!, do you want me to have a blood pressure ? Margaret asked feigning anger .

Angel rolled her eyes at her mother being so melodramatic, she embraced her mother again and whispered in her ears " stop being so dramatic mom I have a guest", not like I invited him tho she murmured the later to herself.

puling out of the hug she gave Elliot the questioning look " And who are you gentleman?" stretching out his right hand for a handshake he introduced himself "My name's Elliot Park am an acquaintance of Angel", he replied to earn a scoff from Angel " acquaintance indeed , or more like an unwanted guest ?",

" You welcome son , am Margaret Smith " she said for Elliot to nod in response. " join us for lunch, i made enough dishes " Angel cuts in sharply .

" I don't think he can stay for lunch mom, he's a very busy man right Mr Elliot? " Angel asked sweetly with a raised eyebrow making her refusal as plain as day

Elliot grinned inwardly at her indirect refusal to have lunch with him, Why is she avoiding him like a plague, did they set off on the wrong foot, did she heard something wrong about him I mean with the bloggers being at his case as the prominent and hottest bachelor of the year writing articles about him. with any possible lady the see beside him , paparazzi will do what they do best by snapping him and posting it online for netizens to read .

Gathering his thoughts together he decided to tease her further, " Kelvin do I have any other appointments scheduled for today", he asked kelvin who immediately understood the handwriting on the wall. " no sir , your schedule is cleared", Kelvin replied and Angel scoffed almost immediately. Margaret smiling happily dragged Elliot to the dining table " here let's eat the food is getting cold ",

Angel walking behind them sighed in defeat and sat down , Isabel who surprised at the turn of events was brought out of her reverie when she heard Margaret mention food , smiling a little she greeted her brother and Angel who replied with a "hum"

Margaret took a plate and spooned some pasta for him and added some vegetables to the surprise of Isabel and Angel.

Not minding the stares he was receiving took some vegetables from his plates and put then in Angel's " eat more vegetables you are too skinny" he said also putting an already peeled crab leg on her plate.

Angel already stewing in anger gave him the "you are so dead look"

She removed the vegetables and crab leg from her plate and added to Isabel's already filled plate. " Thanks Mr Elliot but am on a diet", she said through gritted teeth.

Margaret made to reprimand Angel when her phone ringed she excused herself and went out to take the call. all of a sudden the atmosphere became heavy , Elliot's face became dark because of Angel's refusal to eat the vegetables he added, even Isabel became uncomfortable shifting uneasily in her chair .

Angel raised her face and met his gaze , why is he being so authoritative of a sudden , she knew that she infuriated him so she tried to lighten the atmosphere " why aren't you eating mr Elliot?, I mean you haven't touched your food" , she pointed out trying to play the hero

" Because you don't want me to ", he replied for Angel to choke on her drink,. What's wrong with this man why's he making me look like the villain she thought.
