At the hotel, Peter phones Jazmin.
"Thanks for everything, Jazmin, those are my children," and the mother? "It's a long story, but I got my little devil back."
"Jazmin, we need to break off our engagement. I need to get my family back," he tells her with understanding in his voice. "I understand, my friend."
After ending his call with Jazmin, he dials Francisco's number.
"Where have you been? Cancel everything, and I need you to buy me a house in the village," Peter instructs him urgently. "You have a meeting with Nicolas Black and his son tomorrow," Francisco reminds him. Ignoring him, Peter repeats, "Cancel everything; I have to get my family back." Francisco relents, saying "Fill me in later," to which Peter adds, "and don't tell my mother."
Peter is elated by the day's revelations. He remembers the sickness, the cravings, and laughs to himself.
The hospital shift is busy: a child with a broken arm, Mrs. Lupe who got lost—all minor cases.
Once Nick gets out, Peter is there waiting for him.
"Hello, my little devil," Peter greets him. "Devil?" Nick questions, slightly amused. "Ha, just a nickname," Peter responds. "Should we go see the kids?" "At this time, they'll be in the garden," Nick explains. "Great, then let's go pick up a surprise I have for you," Peter suggests with a smile.
They drive for a while and arrive at a lovely, fully furnished house. "Do you like it?" Peter asks with hope in his eyes. "Yes, it's beautiful," Nick admires the house.
Peter hugs Nick, kisses his neck tenderly, and begins to caress him gently, turning him around to kiss his lips. "Wait, Peter, do you have a condom?" Nick asks, cautious. "If we make more kids?" Peter teases. "Not now, the triplets are small, and I'm in residency," Nick responds, practical. "Alright, but don't think you can escape once I buy some," Peter half-jokes.
Nick laughs, sharing stories of the pregnancy, the cravings, and the children's distinct personalities.
Peter shares his experience with the symptoms, cravings, and abdominal pains he had. Nick reveals that was the day the triplets were born.
Time to pick up the little ones, they go together.
Bringing the children home, Nick speaks up: the kids knew they'd been in their father Nick’s belly, but it was a secret until now. Nick tells them that Peter is their other father, and the children are overjoyed, embracing him warmly.
They spend the day together, taking several photos, bonding as a family of five, before having to return home.
Peter has to go back for business matters.
Nick accompanies Peter to his place, introducing him to his family. Nick's sister, Camil, gives Peter a stern look.
"If you hurt my brother again, you'll have me to answer to," she warns. "Don't worry, I won't harm any of you," Peter assures her gently.
That night, Peter returns to the city. In his apartment, his friends—Jazmin, Lorenzo, and Francisco—are waiting.
"Come, sit down. I'll explain everything, but it stays a secret among us," Peter starts. "Okay," they agree.
"The fathers of the triplets are Nick and me. Nick has a unique condition; he’s intersex. And as you know, Lorenzo, it's his feminine side that's fertile. Three years ago, when I was drugged, I spent the night with him, unprotected, which led to my little ones."
"Why didn't he look for you?" Francisco inquires. "He was going to but didn't know my identity, and when he found out, it was when we announced our engagement, and he didn't want to interfere," Peter explains. "Poor guy," Jazmin empathizes. "I've told him everything, and now we're together. That's why our engagement must end; I want to give them their rightful place."
