A queen's trauma

Ambrosia sat on her bed thinking about how her life changed three weeks ago when she and the others ran away from her father's tribe. Kaila is settling nicely in her position as the provider telling the kids stories. Leena and Eva have started their apprenticeship under Ophelia, Leena as a gatherer and Eva as a beekeeper so they had to move with her. Diana has finally settled into this lifestyle but she still avoids Ambrosia. Lily is finally pregnant which means they're gonna need to execute Kor.

She heard two knocks on her door "Enter" She said. And she saw her youngest sister entering her chamber it was the first time Diana came to her chamber and she took her time to observe every small detail. "May I speak with you for a second, my queen" Diana said not meeting Ambrosia's gaze It was the first time she calls her queen without being sarcastic. "Of course come sit." she said and they sat there not talking for what seemed like hours till Diana broke the silence. "I lied" she said still looking down "I was never happy at tribe Zephyr, not being able to have parents, one who died and the other hates me for no reason. I wasn't happy that the people of the tribe kept giving me looks of hatred and disgust even if I was mere child. I wasn't happy that most of my friends are my friends because I'm your sister not because of who I am. I can't lie that I was jealous because your older brother loved you so much that's why I was angry I didn't like that you left such a good life for this life and I now feel stupid to consider that this life is worse than that life you are a queen ruling a successful tribe. This life is way better. I thought we would be on the run for our lives and never accepted anywhere, and everyone would recognize me as Deena the traitor but I'm no longer Deena I'm Princess Diana sister to queen Ambrosia of Hestia first of her name."

Ambrosia's gaze softened meeting her sister's confident one. "I'm proud of you Diana but you're ready to knew the story about my childhood. Before the disaster my father loved me I still remember it. But after the disaster he left me, my mother and brother alone then he came back a week after with those women and their children clinging into him like glue. At first I didn't understand but when the girls said talking about me to him "Is this ugly our sister, daddy?" and seeing my mother collapse to the floor I lost it I started yelling at him but he slapped me across the face with no warning and it appeared mom also joined him in it I didn't figure out she was already crazy by then till I grew up more and noticed that she sometimes acted hateful and aggressive towards me if I said anything bad about him and act the same if I said he gave me attention but even then I blamed him for everything forcing her into having Fatima then the twin boys drove her more mad she'd be more aggressive if anyone mentioned his name and if he doesn't come for too long. He forced her to do it even when she's experiencing pregnancy cramps and which made her more aggressive when pregnant she'd be hitting her stomach and yelling and I had to keep holding her hands to not hurt herself. You might know how traumatizing it must've felt for me. when she gave birth to Fatima and father didn't come but sent a message saying "I'm disappointed that you didn't give me a son you can name the stupid girl." She looked at baby Fatima a look I'd never forget and was about to launch at her if I didn't run away with her and hid her from mom till she calmed down which was three months when she got pregnant again and she refused to name her so I had to do that and taking advantage of Albus coming to chat I told him her name which was the way she became more known."

Amber stopped for a second looked at Diana and said "Do you wanna know the full story of your birth Well I have to warn you that the story is bad I don't think as bad as Fatima's but it's bad." Amber asked but Diana could only nod Amber was telling her a lot of things probably because she's going to be eleven tomorrow. "It was nine months after Fatima was born I went to the birth chamber to see what your mother will give birth to like I always do I took Fatima since I didn't know who to intrust her to. That chamber was where all of the women of father gave birth all other than my mom and you know why. In the other births the mothers acted accordingly if they had a daughter they'd be ashamed and tired and wouldn't look at their child, if it's a boy they'd be happy and energized and have a smug look when saying to me "My son will someday lead the tribe when your useless brother dies accidentally" They always said that. But the day you were born was different your mother's screams were silenced in one go and there were your cries and the voices of the doctors... After some time a doctor came and went up to the guard and told him that your mother died giving birth to you and your brother from blood loss but and that you're the only survivor after that I asked if I go in and I went and said hi to you shushed and rocked you till you slept by that time father and Albus both came.

flashback

Arthur went with his first son Albus to see his sixth mistress, Safari and the newborns. He was informed of Safari and her son's death. When he came in he saw Albus's two sisters Maria and Fatima there. "Maria what are you doing here?" He asked "I'm sorry your majesty I came to let Fatima play in the nursery but I wanted to see the newborns since I'm here." She said not meeting his gaze. "It's okay" Arthur smirked her being here gave him an idea to where to put the girl.

"Safari's son is to be named Darren and He will have a proper mourning ceremony today. Safari's daughter is gonna be under the care of Soleil." He said and Maria was chocked and angry this is gonna make her mother more angry "I will inform mother your majesty I'll take my leave now" Maria said holding Fatima's hand tightly "Take this girl with you and Soleil can name her herself" He said. Maria took her two sisters and went to her mother. Without opening the door she spoke "Mother! Father have ordered for you to take care of Safari's new born daughter." Maria said she knew her mother won't accept this so she left the girls in her room.

The door opened to reveal her mother "WHAT DID YOU SAY???!" Soleil screamed and slapped Maria who fell on the floor "THAT MAN WANTS ME TO TAKE CARE OF HIS BASTARDS IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT AND THAT UGLY GIRL YOU CALLED FATIMA'S FAULT IF YOU BOTH WERE BOYS HE WOULDN'T HAVE CHEATED ON ME!!" Soleil kept yelling at Maria.

End of Flashback

"If it wasn't for both of you I would've been driven to madness too After mother died I had nothing left there I was happy to know you will come with us." Amber said hugging her sister. "Thank you Sister"
