Chapter 7

Jungkook practically flung himself out of bed in the morning. He woke up around 9 so he would have plenty of to get ready.

As he was showering, he wondered why he planned on spending so long getting ready.

Because I want to look nice for Taehyung, since he always looks nice, Jungkook concluded.

Jungkook finished showering and got dressed.

Should I dress more on the casual side or more on the classy side? It's not like me and Taehyung are going anywhere fancy... I don't know.

Jungkook struggled with what to wear.

He decided on a pair of nice black jeans, a white button up with black buttons, black converse, and a lightweight red jacket.

He fixed his hair and put on some makeup. Jungkook walked to his room and studied his appearance in his floor-length mirror. He looked over his outfit, then got closer to the mirror to study his face and hair. He nodded to himself, satisfied with his appearance.

He looked at the time on his phone.

11:30

Jungkook let out and annoyed chuckle.

"You're kidding," he said to himself. Shaking his head, he looked at the ceiling.

"Well, nothing wrong with being a bit early, right?"

Jungkook left the house around 11:45 and arrived at the coffee shop at noon.

He got out of his car while wondering what he's gonna do for an hour while he waits for Taehyung. He mentally slapped himself for not thinking about that.

He pulled open the door to the slightly busy coffee shop. He looked around the room to search for a seat to sit at while he waits for Taehyung. It would be an understatement to say he was surprised to see a familiar brown-haired male already sitting at a table for two.

Taehyung smiled widely and waved at Jungkook. He must have seen the look of surprise on Jungkook's face because he let out a chuckle. Jungkook walked over to the table Taehyung was sitting at.

"Why are you here so early? We weren't scheduled to meet for an hour," Jungkook asked.

"Well," Taehyung's smile had been reduced to a smirk. "I figured you would be early, and I didn't want to make a such a pretty person wait."

Jungkook blushed at Taehyung's statement, especially the part where he called him pretty.

Taehyung leaned back a bit in his chair. "Plus, I was excited about our meet-up too," he said. Jungkook just nodded and looked at his lap.

"So," Jungkook said after a few moments, "are we gonna order?"

Taehyung was sipping on a caramel frappiccihno and Jungkook had gotten a regular coffee with crème and sugar. Taehyung set down this coffee and looked Jungkook in the face.

"So, tell me about yourself," Taehyung said. Jungkook put his elbows on the table and rested his club in his folded hands.

"What do you want to know?" he questioned. Yes, they had talked the night before, but they didn't really get to know one another.

Taehyung looked at the ceiling as he thought.

"Let's start simple," he looked at Junkook

again. "What's your favorite color?" He

questioned. Jungkook let out a chuckle.

That was the most cliché question.

"I like red, white, and black. What about you?" Jungkook took another sip of his coffee.

"I like blue," Taehyung responded simply. "Now, you ask a question," Taehyung ordered.

Both Jungkook and Taehyung asked each other simple questions for a while. Jungkook learned that Taehyung loves dogs, he likes meat, he likes anime, and his birthday is December 30. Taehyung learned Jungkook loves to sing, his role model and favorite musical artist is G-Dragon, his birthday is September 1, and he's fairly good at drawing.

They had finished their coffee were tellin stories to each other.

"So Hoseok was laying on the floor, laughing his *** off, while I was standing there in shock and that teacher was pissed. I mean, she looked redder than a tomato, even under all that cake batter," Taehyung laughed, recalling the memory. "We, me and Hoseok, we ran like hell out of that place. Wouldn't you? Anyways, we both went to Hoseok's house because it was closer. I had no idea where we were going, but I didn't care then because I was scared for my life and Hoseok seemed like a nice enough guy. When we got there, we spent a good five minutes on the floor laughing in the entryway of his house," Taehyung pointed the straw he was holding at Jungkook. "And that's, how I met my best friend, Hoseok."

Jungkook laughed at the wild story. Taehyung stretched in his chair, still chuckling at the memory.

"Wanna get out of here? I need to stretch my legs and we're done with our coffee anyways," Taehyung asked.

"Sure," Jungkook replied. Both him and Taehyung got out of their seats. They threw away their coffee cups as thy left the coffee shop.

Taehyung and Jungkook were walking in the park. They had been walking together for about 45 minutes, and were telling each other stories and talking about random things.

"Okay, Jungkook," Taehyung said, getting Jungkook's attention. Jungkook hummed as a reply. "Have you ever been in a relationship before?"

Jungkook quickly turned his head towards Taehyung. He wasn't expecting that question.

"I had a girlfriend in high school, but that's it." Taehyung have Jungkook a strange look. "It was before I knew I didn't like girls. Of course, I didn't like her. I was just dating her because she liked me and I thought that if I started dating her, I might start to like her," Jungkook explained. Taehyung nodded in understanding.

"What about you?" Jungkook asked. Taehyung shook his head.

"Nope. Never. Not even those middle school relationships where you barely even talk to each other, yet still tell everyone you're dating," Taehyung said with a chuckle.

"You're kidding." Jungkook was surprised. He would think that anyone this attractive and sweet would be able to swoon anyone.

"Nope," Taehyung said. "I'm serious."

Jungkook shook his head in disbelief. There was a minute of comfortable silence as they walked.

"So... what's your least favorite animal?"

They spent most of the day together. They went into a few shops, got lunch, and walked around the park, talking. It was around 5 o'clock when Jungkook decided he should head home.

Jungkook was seated in his car when someone tapped on his window. It was Taehyung, again. Jungkook wasn't surprised. He rolled his window down.

"Yes?"

"We can hang out again, right?" Taehyung asked with a hopeful smile. Jungkook nodded eagerly. He had had a great time with Taehyung, and he really enjoyed his company.

"Of course, Taehyung."

Taehyung smiled widely and the other man.

"Great! I'll call you sometime or you can call me if you want," he said quickly. Jungkook laughed softly and nodded his head.

"Bye, Taehyung," he said, rolling up his window. Taehyung waved to him rapidly as he walked away. Jungkook could've sworn he heard someone cheering as he drove down the street.
