Kaguya Clan.

The surrounding windows shone brightly, and the Kaguya Clan's symbol was molded on the wall.

Two people could be seen in the middle of the hall, but the silence was abruptly disturbed.

"You met that failure and couldn't kill him yourself, and yet you dare to stand before me!!!!"

Mei approached a middle-aged man with pale skin, two red dots on his brow, and black hair braided and arranged in two tight strands that resembled sideburns.

Along with the middle-aged man's angry statements, Mei was slapped with such force that she fell down and blood flowed from her mouth.

"A Yuki Clan kid is better than you; what a failure!!!"

Kenji gazed at his daughter, who was laying on the ground, with rage and no pity in his eyes.

She is his Clan's ultimate trump card, but she couldn't kill that failure herself and only survived thanks to the assistance of a Yuki Clan Kid.

"You better realize your situation; if you keep acting like this, I don't mind killing you myself."

Kenji is the Chief of the Kaguya Clan, and if news gets out that his daughter is so weak that she needs to be protected by a Yuki clan child, he will be mocked.

Even his status as Patriarch could be jeopardized.

He'd rather murder her than have her ruin his reputation.

Kenji walked away, leaving the injured Mei alone on the ground in a trance.

She recalled what Kakushi had said to her during the battle; even her father had dubbed her a failure.

She also remembered what Aokiji had said to Daikichi.

Mei, the 6-year-old, stood up, and no matter how hard she tried to toughen her heart, she couldn't stop her tears from falling, displaying her sorrow.

Aokiji entered the hall and bowed slightly as he approached Daikichi, who was standing in the middle.

"You can call me Chief when we're not on missions."

"Understood"

Aokiji nodded as Daikichi, who was standing nearby, pulled out a couple pf scrolls.

"Here, this is your remuneration for the task, have a look"

Daikichi smiled as he handed the scroll to Aokiji, who opened it and was astonished by what was inside.

Ice Style: Demon Mirror Crystals, Spear Jutsu, Ice Style The Yuki's Ice Style: Swallow Snow Storm Jutsu, Ice Style: Clone Jutsu, and all of his other Jutsu were written on it.

"Chief, this..."

Aokiji's eyes were filled with surprise as he gazed at Daikichi.

He understands the significance of this, and until you are a Chunin, this scroll is not given to a Clan member.

"You know, we didn't get paid by the client, so I thought I'd reward you personally."

*I can do at least this much to someone who saved my life*

Daikichi smiled and calmly explained the reason to the surprised Aokiji.

*And what I've given you pales in comparison to what you've given me, Kid*

Aokiji words had completely changed him, and he could now perceive the positive things in life.

If he had anything more precious than these Jutsu, he would have given that to Aokiji.

*I don't need this... just give me some money!!!*

Aokiji's heart was pounding; although these Jutsu were precious, money was the most important thing to an orphan like him.

Even if Aokiji tried to put on a happy face for Daikichi's sake, his eyes revealed the truth, which Daikichi couldn't help but notice.

Daikichi laughed as he removed another scroll from his bag and handed it to Aokiji.

*This kid is quite greedy*

Aokiji's eyes lighted up as he swiftly unsealed the scroll, and when he saw the quantity inside, he seemed even more startled than before.

"Chief, so much..."

Aokiji was perplexed when he saw the sum.

"Lord 2nd upped our mission to an A-rank task, and he is the one who offered the remunerations, so don't worry, it's something you deserve"

Daikichi swiftly explained the reason when he noticed his bewildered expression, although he only told half the truth.

He was the one who paid the remunerations; Gengetsu was even asking for a piece of the village; how could he be so generous?

*Today is another big meal*

Hearing his explanation, Aokiji no longer cared and smiled broadly.

"Now accompany me to the training fields; every evening you will come here; I will personally instruct you."

Daikichi didn't want to waste Aokiji's skill and wanted to train him directly.

His ability to control Ice was something unheard of before in the Yuki Clan, so there was no way he would let this kid slack off.

Aokiji who was thinking about what to eat tonight to indulge himself, hearing his words was sad as he knew his days of freedom were coming to an end.

Aokiji, dejected, followed Daikichi, and his training with Daikichi began.
