Not as rumors

I was so nervous that I was going to meet my partner to be for the first time. He was not a normal man, he was the notorious northern Duke.

"Young master, Duke has arrived. Let's go."

When I arrived there I saw a handsome man sitting on sofa talking with the Count. He was nothing like how the rumors described him.

When I arrived there Duke Nortan was staring at me as if he would eat me with his eyes. I was so nervous that I couldn't see straight in his eyes.

"Good morning Duke. I am Irious Trijan." I greeted him with courtesy.

Gift giving ceremony finished very quickly but I was exhausted. Not from the ceremony but from the pile of gifts that Duke brought.

"Wow, young master there was so many gift that the room was filled. All of the gifts are of high quality."

"I didn't expected that he would give me this much gifts. He is not bad as the rumor."

Just at that time the door of Irious's room was opened in a rough manner.

" Huh!"

"Oh my dear brother in law, I heard you got lots of gift."

It was none other than my elder brother's omega wife, Roz. He was a dominant omega from prestigious family. He always bully's me with my other brother.

"Then will you not give me. Your brother said you wanted to give me."

It was first time someone gave me gift except from my mother. Even if it was meant for ceremony but it was something that belonged to me. I didn't wanted to give it to him.

"No..Duke gave it to me as present so I can't give you thi.."

"No.." Irious eyes were full of tears

"What! You said I can take it, Then thank you."

"No, Young Master said you can't..."

"How dare you speak against your master."

Roz started to beat Maya.

"Don't beat Maya(sniff). You want those gifts right. Take it. I don't need them. Just leave her."

"My my. Is this maid that precious to you? Huh!"

"Then, Thanks for the gift."

Roz took most of the rings and jewellery from the pile of gifts left the room.

"Maya, are you alright? wa..ah It is all my fault. I shouldn't have been so selfish. I should have gave him when he asked for the first time."

"I am alright young master. It was the first time you had something you could call it yours. So I wanted to help you. Sorry I couldn't be of any help."

"It's okay Maya. I never had those things so it doesn't matter if it is gone. I have other things left so it's okay."

"Are you okay young master?"
