⚠️My body is aching as I get beaten up once again." Please stop." I'm crying, he beats me up. "Women get out!" he yells at me and I receive a kick in the stomach. Then I struggle and crawl out. I'm in a difficult position as I crawl-more like drag myself out of his sight. Dad has always been abusive. I'm just lucky that I wasn't cut today. Yesterday I received a long deep cut that runs from just below my elbow to above my wrist. When I asked to go to the Clinic minutes ago I received another beating. I drag myself to the bathroom and undressed then I stepped into the shower.

I've tried running away, but that only got a bullet in my shin.

When I'm done showering, I wrap my arm in a new bandage. My reflection in the mirror caught my sight and trapped me in a daze. The girl in the mirror has scars and cuts all over her body. She is just waiting for the final blow when she will forever leave this world.

I just hung the laundry,when I walked in Dad was already in the kitchen,at the table waiting for dinner-which I haven't started on yet.

"What's on the menu?" He grinned at me with ulterior motives. " I haven't made dinner yet. Give me a few minutes, please"

He pushed back his chair with an ear piercing screech. He turned into his wolf and launched towards me.⚠️

My last remembered vision were that of my life flashing before me. The smell of smoke and the pain engulfed me.

I hate that beeping sound. I open my eyes to a bright light. I can't afford to be here. Not now! Dad will be expecting dinner. Despite the pain and agony I'm experiencing, I force my body up...

Dr Roy

I was called in and rushed from the pack house to the hospital. Apparently a cabin on the mere outskirts of the pack's territory was on fire. One severely injured and the other burnt to death.

I love helping people that's why I'm glad to be the second born son of the Alpha and Luna. Besides Jordan is more cut out for the role of ruling the pack anyway.

The severely injured patient is a girl. It hurts me that she was burnt that badly. The minute we got he on the oxygen machine till she started breathing on her own I felt tense. My heart was relieved that she was going to make it. That she was alive. Whilst my team and I attended to her, we discovered a number of injuries. She had two left broken ribs her right arm and left leg was brocken as well.

When my team left, I stayed behind. I sat on a stool and cried- I don't care that I'm a grown man.

I couldn't believe that I wasn't able to protect her. I couldn't believe she was going to be in pain. She was supposed to be my ****MATE****!

A few hours later I sat in the stuff kitchen sipping on my tea while Natalie as irritatingly flirting with me. I was in deep thought.

The TV connected to the security cameras caught my attention. In room eighteen the injured girl My Mate was trying to get out of bed. I placed my mug down and ran to room eighteen.

My was trying to walk, even when she was injured. I rushed and picked her up bridle style." Let go of me! My Dad's going to kill me if dinner is not ready when he gets back!" She yelled and fisted my shoulder with her functioning arm.Damn she is strong. I placed her on the bed as gentely as I could.

"Breathe," I whispered then I carefully kissed her cheek, making sure not to disturb the burns on her face. She looked sad and fragile. " What's your name ?" I asked in a gentle tone not to scare her off.

"Isabella-I don't know my last name." She looked at me and something changed in her expression.I knew then that realisation hit her.

" Who are you?" She studied me. "I'm Dr Roy, you're my mate." Little does she know I'm the former Alpha and Luna's second son. She smiles and I realise I have to give her the news of her father.

"Isabella... your father passed on. He burnt in the fire. I'm sorry for your lose." Her smile grew wider. Why is she happy about something as saddening as this?

" He was going to burn me." I saw red when I heard who did this to her.I calmed down and promised: " I will always protect you." I kiss her head as I get up. Pouring her water, I tell her to drink it and she listens to me.

After making sure she had dinner I had to phone my Mom. I have to tell her I found my mate. She'll be over ther moon. My Mom simply loves and welcomes everyone. True qualities of a Luna. I know she will love Isabella. Bella, has a ring to it.
