In a beautiful morning of May, a young village girl leaves her house and goes up along the river, into the mountains, to pick up mushrooms. It was a rainy period so the river had a fairly high flow and it was difficult to cross on the other side. Well, actually our girl has no intention to cross the dangerous river but unfortunately ends up into its crazy waves.

When she is happily picking up the last mushrooms and gazes at the full basket, a heavy storms just starts.The girl fastly runs down the river to reach the village before the weather gets worse but a voice screams for help and she hears her name in repeated ways: "Amber, Amber...."!

She turns back and finds an old woman from their village trying to reach the river bank. Her elder was caught between the violent waters of the river. She jumps into the water to drag the old woman out but when she assures the elder's safety, our young girl is taken downstream by strong currents. The old woman is saved but the young girl dies drowned into the cold and yellow waters of the everlasting dragon.

"Poor girl", this is what everyone from the village says and indeed she is a poor creature.

Eventually, after a couples of days from the time when the soul leaves the body, it goes to the reincarnation place to be relocated somewhere else. Here the soul is weighed according to the person's good deeds during her or his life.

The guardian of heaven and hell takes pity on her and gives her a chance to continue living in the same world. He says that she shouldn't have died that day, that it wasn't her fate to die drowned in the river but the old woman's fate. Unfortunately she interfered with the old woman's fate and took the misfortune upon her.

"Poor creature" says the guardian of heaven and hell.

"I'll give you a second chance to live in this world and keep your memories intact but you can't live in your human body anymore because it is already destroyed. You have to live in an animal's body and do many good deeds. A cat has nine lives, so this may be the best option for you.Take my black cat and if you're diligent enough one day you'll gain immortality and I will send you to the upper palace."

The girl agrees and enters the black cat's body. This body has magical properties and an immeasurable ability to absorb energy. She goes back on earth to live nine lives and do good deeds so that she can become an immortal. The guardian of heaven and hell tells her that when she'll store enough energy and cultivate her body and soul, she'll be able to transform from her cat form into a human shape.
