Mr Agrest, my Agrest

Once he finally stopped , I was a hot mess. but he looked unsatisfied so without even thinking I yelled " could u not Mr anterage!?!?!!?!"

He looked shocked and confuse, he asked me if that was he's name and then he started bursting out in laughter 🤣.

I felt beyond embarrassed and glad that he wasn't upset. He hugged me tight and whispered in my ear "it's Agrest, Zane Agrest. you should know your own last name, love "

I had absolutely no idea what he meant , well I think I did but that was far too fast. Did he just propose to me? But before I could say anything, one of his coworkers was outside pleading him for assistance. He looked at me for the first time with gentle eyes and told me that he'd see me later.

I ran to the door to make sure he was gone before throwing the biggest tantrum in the history of tantrums. I needed something to get my mind off my sudden wedding proposal, and thank goodness a hotel managers job is never done.

One of my guests was having a birthday and thier favourite color was royal navy. A really beautiful color both, bold and free, determined and elegant.

My staff had already prepared the celebratory dinner in our world renowned restaurant 😋, the food was ,no joke , to die for. But as the manager I still had to find a gift that fit the theme, in other words a royal blue gift.

So I went out gift hunting for the rest of my day and saw the cutest rose gold pin which sadly was not royal navy but would look great on me, I moved on until I came across a man's jewelry store. I asked the owner if he had any recommendations for a gift that I should give a young man in his 20s.

The owner smiled and gave me a very misunderstanding wink, as if he knew I was hiding something, which I was not!

The owner showed me a lot of beautiful, shiny and expensive things but what really caught my intention was a silver and royal blue tie clip that read bold on it.

I knew that would be perfect and without even thinking I bought it and let's just say I had not a single silver tile left afterwards 🥲.

I was so happy I had found a gift but it was getting dark. on my way back I got pickpocketed by a really fast guy, he made lightning look slow, but soo did I. I ran after him until I finally caught up to him, but someone caught him before I did.

Mr Agrest did, apparently the guy tried to pickpocket him as well, that was a huge mistake, the guy looked terrified 😨. But Mr Agrest looked pleased to see me which made one of us. I told him that he had stolen a gift that I was going to give a friend and needed it back, and without hesitation the pickpoketer gave me back the clip and ran off.

Mr Agrest took the clip from me and asked who it was for , I replied, non of his business and rushed back to the hotel, I turned around before leaving and Mr Agrest looked hurt, might I have been too harsh? But I had no time to think about that now.

I got to my room changed into my royal navy dress, put the clip in a black box and went to the celebration, the restaurant was packed, which does not usually happen on birthdays but it seemed like everyone of our top guests where there.

I could barely get in, the way it was packed 😩 but I found a way.

I was nearly halfway through the crowd, when someone stepped on my foot and that made me lose my balance completely, I braced myself for the fall but surprisingly my landing was a lot softer than I expected. But how could it not be when my landing was a tall , hot ,handsome hunk, in other words it was Mr Agrest.

I thanked him for catching me with a smile and that's when Betty told me to 'do it'. I was beyond confused but then she pointed at the black box.

I looked up at Mr Agrest and down at the black box a few times before asking if today was his birthday, which he responded it was.

I immediately bowed and wished him happy birthday with the happiest smile I knew how to make.

He thanked me and then told me that he'd prefer the giver than the actual gift. Shameless! absolutely shameless, I wanted to right hook him right there ,but it was his birthday and we were surrounded by a lot of guests.

To think he ruined such a moment with his shameless flattery but as long as the birthday boy was pleased so was I.
