When I stop hugging him, he puts his arm around my shoulders and we walk towards my apartment, we went in absolute silence.
When we arrived at the building, I took a deep breath, it was so difficult to deal with all this, we went to my apartment, before entering I stopped, thinking for a bit, when I opened the door everyone looked at the door and got up.
My mother (it will be difficult for me to get used to this) comes walking towards me. My father takes his arms from my shoulders, he smiles at both of us, walks towards the sofa and sits down.
"My daughter" my mother says "Can I hug you?" I nod and she hugs me and I hug her back.
It was a little strange for me, but I soon gave in, it's hard to suddenly know that your mother is someone else (literally) when she lets go of me I realize she was holding back from crying.
It was as difficult a situation for her as it was for me, she is reuniting with the daughter she had been looking for for so many years, the pain she felt all this time when she didn't know where I was, the pain of her reuniting with me now after building my own life and knowing she can't be there for me.
I know it's not easy for them, it's not for me either, I believed all this time that my mother was someone else, it's so difficult for me too, to find out that my whole life has been a big lie.
"Shall we sit down?" I ask and she nods.
I sit between Vitoria and Gael. My mother sits with my father on the other sofa.
We all sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes, until my father started talking.
"Lara, we have four children, including you" He says, trying to break the ice.
"Three girls and one boy" My mother continues, she speaks breathlessly.
"I didn't think you guys could have any more children," I say curiously.
"We adopted" She says, pauses, and continues "A year after what happened, we had to go to Australia and I was visiting a shelter and I saw Gael there and decided to adopt him, I fell in love with him, he was 7 years old. When Gael was 15 we went to visit an orphanage in Brazil and I adopted two girls, one was 6 years old and the other was 5. The 6 year old is now 18, her name is Elena, and the 5 year old, who is now 17, is Agatha. They're dying to meet you, but they're in Brazil studying and couldn't come.
"I'll love to meet them when they come here," I say smiling.
"Don't you want to go to Brazil with us?" Gael asks and at that moment I'm not sure what to answer.
"Girl, go to Brazil with them, get to know your sisters, get to know your parents better. Go enjoy your new family for a bit, when you think you should come back, I'll be here waiting for you. On my vacation, I'll go visit you, spend some time with you, and you can come too whenever you want, you need to bond with your new family," Vitoria says, encouraging me to go to Brazil with them.
"Come on Lara, you can see the company, the two of us will go out together, you'll meet your family" Gael says making me smile.
"Okay, then I'll go" I say and Gael gets up and hugs me, he lifts me up and spins me around. I start screaming and everyone starts laughing.
"We didn't want to leave your side anymore, but unfortunately we have to go back to our house and get everything ready for the trip, we'll go in the afternoon, we'll stop by to pick you up. I'll message you when we're coming," my dad says and comes to hug me.
We said goodbye and my mother cried some more because she didn't want to leave my side, I promised to go next to her the entire trip and she left.
"How crazy is all this, right?" Vitoria asks.
"Very crazy, things changed from one hour to the next, thinking about all this is a little scary. I lived with a kidnapper and her accomplice all these years, if my aunt hadn't told me I would never have found my real parents, and to make matters worse, they would never have heard from their missing daughter," I reply.
"Really girl, come to think of it, this is a bit bizarre," she says.
"* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *"

Things couldn't be worse, I'm sad that I don't have anything else with Lara, I really fell in love with her and now I have no idea what to do to win her back.
"What are you thinking about?" Bryan appears behind me.
"Nothing" I reply.
"Got it, feel like going out?" he asks me.
I know he's just worried and wants to try to cheer me up a bit.
"Aren't you going to visit your girlfriend today?" I ask, completely avoiding the subject of going out.
"Not today, I wanted to spend more time with my brother" he replies.
"Sorry to disappoint you bro, but today I'm exhausted, maybe some other day" I say.
"All right then, it's up to you" he shrugs.
I get up and go to my room, at that moment I preferred to be alone.
