After disembarking, I went straight to my aunt's house. I sent a message to my cousin letting her know I was on my way, and she was home waiting for me.
When I arrived, she greeted me with a hug. I had forgotten that this was the custom in Brazil. She had tears in her eyes, which made me very sad, and I soon felt my own eyes welling up. I entered the house and sat on the living room sofa, leaving my bags beside me.
"Oh, cousin, I'm so sad. Knowing that my mom could die at any moment is killing me," she said between sobs.
"I can't imagine how much pain you're in. My mom died when I was very young."
"Go take a shower and get ready so we can go to the hospital for you to talk to my mom," she said, trying to wipe away her tears.
After getting ready, Alicia (my cousin) and I went to a restaurant to eat. She told me she hadn't eaten anything, so I took her to a restaurant to try to get her to eat a little. We were sitting, waiting for our order, and chatting.
"How is it in Italy?" she asked, her voice a little more lively.

"If you were looking where you were going, you wouldn't have bumped into me," he said through gritted teeth.
"I was looking; you're the one who seems to be blind," I said, adjusting myself. Another man appeared and started talking.
"Sorry, girls. My friend is a little stressed today. I'm so sorry about that," he said, giving us a comforting smile.
Alicia pulled me away, still grumbling, and we headed to the hospital, which was close by. Upon arriving at the hospital, we went straight to my aunt's room.
She was hooked up to a lot of machines, with wires everywhere. At that moment, I felt like bursting into tears right there, but I tried to stay strong. She looked at me, and tears fell from her eyes. I approached her and held her hand.
"My daughter," she breathed deeply, and Alicia came closer. "Leave me and," she paused to breathe and continued, "Leave me and your cousin alone," she said with great difficulty. My cousin left the room without a word.
"Pay attention to... to what I'm going to tell you... don't say anything... just listen."
Enzo narrating:
Lara is already in Brazil, and I'm missing her like crazy. Today, I have a celebratory dinner with Rachel's father, and she'll definitely be there. After the fight I had with my brother over her, I want her to stay away from me.
I arrived at the restaurant where the dinner was being held and went straight to the private room where we would be dining. I got there and sat next to Bryan, who was already there with Vitoria. I greeted them, and soon after, Rachel arrived with her father. She sat next to me.
"Hi, Enzinho. Hi, darling Bryan," she said, emphasizing her voice, and Bryan snorted. He didn't answer her, but I replied out of politeness.
"Hi," I replied dryly.
We were all chatting during dinner, and everything was going very well. We were all engrossed in conversation and celebrating; we were all business partners, after all.
Dinner ended, and Bryan, Vitoria, and I were chatting at the restaurant bar, having a few drinks, until Rachel approached.
"Hi, guys. How are you?" No one answered, but she kept talking. "Vitoria, right? So, you and Bryan are together? Did he already tell you about us?" she said, and I could already see Bryan was about to explode. But Vitoria calmly put her arm around him, calming him down, and started to speak in the calmest voice in the world.
"Rachel, right? If I'm not mistaken, you're the girl who tried to get into the Bianchi family by any means necessary, aren't you? The girl who got involved with both brothers and thought it would work out. How embarrassing, 'Rachel.'" Vitoria gave a little smile to Rachel, who was biting her lip, and stormed off, fuming.
"You were so calm, you scared me," Bryan said, giving Vitoria a peck on the lips.
"I'm used to people like that," she smiled.
We chatted for a while and then went to my parents' house. They were in the living room, talking.
"Hi, son. Where's that girlfriend of yours? You didn't bring her? Did you break up with her already? She's too good for you." Sometimes my mother stresses me out immensely. She thinks she owns me.
"No, mom, we're still together. She had some family problems in Brazil and had to go back urgently."
"Oh, I see, son. I hope everything is okay."
"It is, mom. I'm going to go up and take a shower," I said, already heading up the stairs. I went straight to my room.
I took a shower and lay down. Just as I was about to fall asleep, I woke up to a call. When I looked at my phone, it was Andreas, a friend.
📳Andreas: Come over here!
📳Enzo: Like, right now?
📳Andreas: Seriously, dude, come on. It's just a small get-together with friends. We're not even going to drink that much. You coming?

When I walked in, there was a party, not a small get-together. I greeted some friends who were there and received a call from Lara. I rejected the call and sent a message saying I couldn't talk because I was at a friend's "get-together."
