Episode 9

Lara Narrating...

We slept almost the entire day, we were exhausted. I woke up to Enzo's phone ringing nonstop.

"Enzo, wake up, your phone is ringing" I said, shaking him.

When I realized I was naked, I ran to the bathroom and locked the door. I turned on the shower and stood there, letting the water run over me while I thought about our "adventure."

💭I don't think what happened is a big deal, we were both drunk, it didn't mean anything💭 I thought.

When I got out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel, he was sitting on the bed, he looked at me, got up and went into the bathroom.

I put on some clothes and combed my hair, leaving it wet. I packed my things and Enzo's things. He came out of the bathroom already dressed and we went downstairs and said goodbye to everyone, as we had to leave.

Enzo didn't bring up the subject, thank God, I didn't want to talk about what happened either.

Enzo Narrating...

I wanted to talk about what happened with Lara, but I think she wasn't ready to get into it, I realized that just being close to me was making her tense.

When we got back to Italy I dropped her off at her apartment and went to mine to sort out some things I had to take care of. I'm really tired from this crazy weekend we had, it feels like a truck ran over my body. And for good reason, right?

I did everything I had to do and decided to go take a shower to get some sleep, when I was almost asleep I decided to call Lara, she has an effect on me that I can't explain, I already miss her, it feels like I haven't seen her in years.

The phone rings and she answers on the fifth ring.

"Hello, Enzo, did something happen?" she says in a confused voice, it must be because I don't usually call her out of the blue.

"No, I just wanted to talk. What are you doing?"

"Nothing, I just finished eating and was about to go to sleep. The hangover got me good" she lets out a laugh so beautiful that I hadn't noticed before.

"I understand, I feel like I got run over. My whole body is sore, I feel like I'm falling apart" She starts laughing on the other side of the call and I start laughing too, I think I'm in love with this woman, she's beautiful, funny, fun-loving and loves to drink. She was made for me.

We talked and while she was talking about Brazil I ended up falling asleep, not because I was bored, I could listen to her talk about Brazil for hours. But I was, in fact, very tired.

Lara Narrating...

I was telling Enzo all sorts of things about Brazil, he was asking me more things, which made me excited to talk.

As I was telling a long story, I heard him let out a soft snore on the other end of the line, I hung up the phone and thought about how nice it was to talk to him like that. I ended up falling asleep quickly as I was exhausted.

I woke up in the morning and grabbed my cell phone to check the time, the alarm hadn't gone off so it must still be very early, when I saw the time it was almost lunchtime.

I was going to be late and have to make up an excuse for my annoying supervisor. I got up and got ready in a hurry, when I ran out of the apartment my cell phone vibrated and a message arrived.

💬Enzo — Are you running late? If you're not up to it, you don't have to go to work today

💬Lara — It's okay, I think I can make it after lunch.

💬Enzo — I'm coming to get you.

I got ready as quickly as I could and went down to the front of the building and waited for him, it wasn't long before Enzo arrived, I got in the car, he went to a restaurant near the company and we had lunch.

I made fun of him for falling asleep on the phone call, we talked about a lot of things and went to the office. Work was normal, I justified my being late, talked to some colleagues and the day was going really well.

At the end of the day I decided to go to Enzo's office to leave together, I talked to his secretary and she let me through, I knocked on the door and he told me to come in.

"Am I interrupting?" I asked, entering the room.

"Of course not, you never interrupt" he said, smiling at me and I sat down on a sofa that was near him.

"What are you doing?" I asked, watching him working on his laptop and then signing some papers.

"Just finishing up some things here, want me to take you home afterwards?" he asked, still paying attention to the things he was doing.

"If it's no trouble, I accept."

"It's no trouble at all, I like being around you, I think you're cool."

"You're very cool too, Enzo."

He gets up and walks towards me and sits down next to me.

"Lara, I like you" he says as if he had something stuck in his throat. I really like him too, I think we're becoming friends.

"I like you too, Enzo" I say smiling but he stays serious so I keep talking "You've become a good friend to me."

"Friend?" he asks as if I'd said something offensive, he takes a deep breath and continues "Do you usually suck your friends' di*s? Do they suck you until you cm for them? Do you moan their names? We are not friends Lara, I'm not saying I like you just as a friend, I'm saying that I really like you."

I am silent, I don't know what to say to that. He is saying he likes me now, but he could just as easily change his mind in the next second, I don't know what else to say, he's nice but I don't think the two of us together would work out, we're too different and I don't think dating for real would work out under any circumstances.

He lifts my face, which until now I had been looking at my hands, he kisses me out of nowhere, kisses me with a certain urgency and desire, taking my breath away, and then he stops.

"I'll take you home, when we get there can I come in so we can talk about this?" he asks when he breaks the kiss.

"I don't think we have much to talk about, but if you want you can come in and we'll see what happens" I answer him, getting up.

He turns everything off and hands the papers to his secretary, says something to her that I wasn't really paying attention to. We went to the parking lot and got in the car, we went to my apartment, when we got there we went in and he sat on the sofa.

"I'm just going to take a shower and I'll be right back" I told him.

"Okay" he replies.

I go to my room and get my things, go to the bathroom to take a shower. I take a shower, put on a light dress, dry my hair and leave the bathroom, I sit next to him on the sofa.

"So? What do you have to tell me?" I ask, looking into his eyes.
