Kasim came home at night. His wife was waiting to tell him about Alibaba. She said, "Sir, you think that you are wealthiest man in town. you are well-respected by others.

But do you know that your poor brother, Alibaba is richer than you are? He is so rich that he has to use a balance to measure his gold. Whereas, you are so poor that, you count your gold coins by hand."

Kasim did not understand what his wife was saying. He angrily said, "what are you talking about?

Alibaba and rich? I can't understand one word of what you say." His wife then told him what had happened that evening. She showed him the gold coin that was stuck to the pan.

Kasim looked closely at the gold coin. It was a very old one, bearing the picture of an ancient king.

Kasim was surprised by his wife's story. This meant that Alibaba really had a store of gold coins. So he was not as poor as he seemed to be.

Kasim could not sleep the whole night. He was struck with jealousy and anger at his brother's good fortune. He knew that Alibaba was hiding something. He decided that he would ask Alibaba that truth the next day.

The next morning, Kasim mentor to meet Alibaba. Alibaba greeted his elder brother warmly.

But Kasim was very angry. he said, brother, "everyone knows that you are poor. you have to work hard to earn money. But now I understand that you are not what you appear to be.

you are so that you are wealth can only be measured by a weight balance." Alibaba was surprised. He said, "I do not understand what you are talking about, brother."

Kasim was enraged by Alibaba's answer. He shouted at him, "Alibaba I know that you lie." He showed him the gold coin and said, "Do you see the coin? It was stuck to the pan that my wife gave to your wife yesterday.

You were measuring these gold coins. Now tell me how you have acquired these gold coins suddenly."

Alibaba understood now the foolish mistake of his wife. He thought, "now, my brother and his wife have come to know about our treasure. I cannot hide the truth from them. It is better I reveal the secret to my brother. Otherwise, the consequences would not be good. He will cut all his relations with me, if I don't reveal the truth."

Alibaba was a good brother. He narrated the adventures of the day before. Then he told his brother how he had taken the bag of gold from the cave. Kasim was delighted on hearing his story.

He was a greedy man. he could imagine the treasures lying in the cave. Even though he was wealthy, he wanted more.

Kasim said, "brother, I've listened to your story. Now you have to tell me the exact location of this cave and the two magic words to open and close the cave.

If you do not tell me the truth, I will tell the authorities about your gold coins. Then you will lose whatever good fortune you earned."

Alibaba was honest and told the details to his brother. Kadim learnt the location of the cave and the magical words to open it. He planned to visit the cave the next day and take away as much treasure as he could.
