The Secret Is Revealed

Alibaba entered his house and was welcomed by his wife. His wife was curious to know what was inside the three bags. Alibaba happily poured out the contents of the bags. As the gold coins dropped on the ground, his wife's eyes widened in surprise.

She shouted at Alibaba, "What have you done? You have committed a robbery. Otherwise, how can you bring home so many gold coins?"

Alibaba looked displeased. He said, "How can you think I would do such a thing? I have not gained this gold by a bad deed but by a good fortune. Listen to me!"

He explained the whole incident that had happened to him that day. His wife listened in amazement. She could not believe what she heard.

Alibaba and told her, "listen, woman! you cannot tell this to anyone. Keep it a secret. Now, take care of this gold while a Dig up the ground. We have to hide this gold." But his wife said, "Let me count the gold coins first.

I want to know the amount of gold we have now. She began counting the gold coins. Alibaba said, "if you start counting now, you can only finish it by tomorrow." Then, his wife agreed to measure the gold coins.

However there was no weight measure in Alibaba's house. His wife wanted to borrow it from Kasim's house. Alibaba agreed but warned her not to reveal anything. His wife went to Kasim's house to ask for the measure.

But Kasim was not at home. kasim's wife heard her request. She came out and asked, "Do you need a bigger balance or a smaller one?" Alibaba's wife wanted the smaller one. Kasim's wife told her to wait and went inside.

Kasim's wife was a cunning and jealous women. She wondered why Alibaba's wife Wanted a measure. To satisfy her curiosity, she applied wax to the pans of the balance.

That way whatever they measured, some of it a good stick to the pan. The Innocent wife of Alibaba did not know this. She brought home the measure.

After bringing the balance, of Alibaba's wife could determine the amount of gold they had. Mean while, Alibaba was busy digging the ground to make a hole.

When his wife had finished measuring it, both of them carefully hid the gold in the ground. Then they covered the hole with sand. thus no one would know where the gold was.

Alibaba's wife then went to return the measure to Kasim's wife. She did not notice that a gold coin was still stuck to the one of the pans.

She gave it to the Kasim's wife, unaware of her mistake. Kasim's wife immediately saw the gold coin stuck to the pan.

She thought, "So this was what they were measuring-gold coins! If they had to use a measure, it means they must have a great number of gold coins.

How did a poor man like Alibaba get so many gold coins?" She was restless to tell her husband about her discovery.
