A True Friend

My fourth day of school. I really think I need to wear a jacket next time, cuz there seems to be an iceberg on my side. Its freezing me alive. More and more students are talking about the acquaintance party. I'm getting a little nervous, it said that we should bring a partner with us. I'll just ask nikki in lunch. I tried to communicate with Joon but he's too cold. Class ended and lunch came again. As usual nikki, yuri and me are sitting in the table. I asked about the party, they said that I should not worry about it. I stopped thinking about it and ate with them. We went to the class earlier than usual,so the teacher are still not here. A class mate of ours called me out saying someone's looking for me . I went to see who it was, It was a boy from our class, Leo . He looks nice and tall, he asked me if i have a partner to the party. I didn't wanna go to the ball with a stranger.

"umm....about that"

"do you already have a partner? he asked"

"partner?"

"yeah, a partner"

yes! yes I do have a partner"

"who? he asked"

"who? umm...."

I looked around and I saw Joon, he shouldn't mind going to the party with me right

"Joon! Joon Cohen, he's my partner to the party"

"ohh is that it then I'll take my leave now"

"okay, thank you again"

I went back to my seat while feeling guilt

"I don't remember asking you to the party" the iceberg asked

"won't you just help this dansel in distress"

"no" he responded quickly

"you don't have a choice, you either go or"

"or what?"

"I didn't think about that. But you have to"

He went silent but agreed since he didn't also have a partner. Class started again and it seems not that cold as before. Before I knew it the class ended. Nikki and Yuri asked me if I wanted to go with them to a cake store. Nikki also said that her twin wanted to come and we agreed, Leo also tagged along. We were about to go, but I went to Joon and dragged him along too. All six of us went to the cake store. We chatted happily except of Yuri and Joon. It was almost dark and it was time to go back to our dorms. We were about to head home, when we saw a carnival near the beach. Yuri and Joon told us not to go for it was late. But Nikki and Nick already went to the carnival. Me and Leo also went to the carnival, leaving Yuri and Joon to come along. All four of us played and ate a lot, Yuri and Joon were just following us.

As I said before, I have a speciality of getting lost. And guesse what? I'm lost. But this time I brought someone with me. Out of all the people why does it have to be this iceberg.

"Could you remind me how we ended up here?"

"I was just following you"

"We shouldn't have came here on the first place"

"I warned you"

There was an awkward silence between us for a moment. I wanted to avoid the silence and went closer to the beach.

"Are you this easygoing around people?" He asked

For a moment there I stopped and think for a moment. And I answered;

"No, your the first friends I've ever had. At first I dont really know if I was acting okay or a bit off."

"First friends?"

"Yeah" I said with a smile on my face. "How about you?"

"I've had friends before but I don't really know if they think the same as me."

"sorry to ask that"

i"t's okay, I'm used to it"

"then now you know you have a true friend"

"who?"

"Me!"

"you?"

"Yes!"

we stared at the night sky. Until a shooting star appeared. I made a wish at the star, Joon also did. Soon the others found us and went back to our dorms.

it was supposed to be a happy ending when we went back at school. But uncle was waiting for at the gate. He almost nagged all night about not going back to the dorm at the right time. We apologise for our mistakes and uncle forgives us but warned us there was no next time. Uncle smiled at me before going. We went to our own dorms and got ready to sleep.
