This guy! He knew I’d be too lazy to go out today!

“You bastard! I haven’t ever prepared yet!”

“I can see that, your still in your pj’s.”

I slapped his shoulders lightly irritated.

“Honey who’s that? Oh! Chen! Your here early? Do you guys have any sched for today?”-Mom

“Yes, autie, i was inviting her to hang out.”

“VALORIE SMITH! GO AND PREPARE! DON’T KEEP A GUY WAITING!”

“Mom geez wait! No need to yell! My sister will wake up if your too noisy!”

*Val goes upstairs*

“Chen are you hungry? I can make you breakfast if you want.”

“Oh no need, we’ll eat outside.”

“Chen I have a question, I know its a little impossible but it can still happen right?”

“Sure, what is it?”

“I’ll be frank with you…Do you like my daughter?”

“Oh, I’ve never thought of that, I like her as my friend but if romantically no.”

“Why did you ask?”

“Its just I’m worried for my daughter, one day you’ll be graduating highschool and enter college…She’ll only think of us, her family, and not think of herself.. she’s-” *interrupt*

“Believe in your daughter, she’ll do anything for her family and no one can change that. She won’t be lonely if that’s what you’re worried about, I’m here…I won’t let anything happen to her.”

Mom’s thoughts: If only you were a couple, i really won’t have anything to worry about, but your not, who knows what will happen on the future…you can’t always be there for her..

“Heyy, I’m ready! Should we go Chen?”

“Yeah, goodbye auntie!”

“Bye Mom!!!”

*Breakfast*

“What would you like to have for breakfast?”-C

“McDonalds would do.”-V

“Hey, do you know Claire?”-V

“Yeah she’s one grade ahead of us, why?”-C

“I heard she likes you! Why don’t you go court her?”-V

“Nah, not my type! Plus she’s older than me, I like girls younger than me!”-C

“Nope, I don’t wven consider you a girl!”

*Slaps shoulders*

Breakfast finished, we dropped of a library to study for a bit, 3 hours passed, we decided to eat lunch.

“So what type of girl do you like?”-V

“Don’t know”

“Chen! Of course you have one! At lease one characteristic about your ideal type?”

“I guess someone who’s quiet and reserved, you know what I mean?”

Guess it can’t be me…

“Let’s go finish our food faster so we can do lots of things!”-V

Chen’s thoughts: This girl hardly runs out of energy…

*End of the day*

“I really enjoyed today..did you?”-V

“Yeah, though it was really tiring following you all around.”-C

“Hey! You’re the one who asked to hang out today!”-C

“I know! I know! I’m just annoying you! *Laughs*”

“Thank you, you know, I want you to promise me one thing Chen…we’ll always be friends no matter what happens, even if we have an intense fight, we’ll make up and stay friends okay?”

“Why are you suddenly saying that?”

“Chen we have to look at reality…the things we do now, bond, have fun, almost together every single day, we will have no time for that when we enter college, we have different dreams we want to achieve, different course to take, we’ll soon have another group of friends, we’ll most likely loose time for one another, we’ll have relationships and everything else, but thats why I’m scared, I’m scared of losing our friendship. I am so thankful I met you. I never had a friend like you well except Aly of course, but still, we’ll always be friends right?”

“You think way ahead, of course we’ll always be friends no matter what! We maybe going separate ways in college but that doesn’t mean we’ll not have time for each other, we’ll always be friends, and I promise you that.”

Val’s thoughts: You better keep your promise Chen…I won’t be able to take it if we lose our friendship, I like you…and I know you don’t feel the same way as I do, so just stay by my side even as friends, as long as I don’t lose you…
