All I Ask of You

Haden groaned when the sun shone through the big window of Cheara's room. He patted the empty bed beside him and then he opened his eyes.

"Cheara?"

When there was no answer, he got up and wore his pants before he got out of the room just to saw Cheara preparing food in the kitchen. He smiled and walked over to her, hugged her from behind as he gave her kisses on her neck and ear.

"Morning," he said, sleepy.

"It's 9, you know," Cheara giggled.

"Yeah, morning," he kissed her head. "What is that?"

"This?" Cheara looked at the pan. "Well, I want to cook a soup cream, but... well, the visual isn't that good, huh?"

Haden chuckled. "Well..."

Cheara hit his feet and made him moved backward. "Let's eat."

"Do you really have to kick me like that, babe?"

"Serve you right, asshole. C'mon eat," she said as she served him this unknown thing called soup cream.

Haden sat on the chair across her. He looked at Cheara and she smiled at him, full anticipation. Haden gulped and looked at the soup in front of him. He took the spoon beside the bowl and took a sip. And then he blinked. Cheara chuckled.

"Don't judge a book by its cover, honey," she said as she took a sip as well. She added bread in it.

Haden smiled when he saw her eating.

"Don't rush," he said as he wiped the soup on the corner of her pink lips.

Cheara smiled at him. "Thanks."

After they ate, they took a bath together and then watched drama on the couch as they devoured the poor and delicious pop corn in front of them.

"That man's pitiful," Haden commented.

"Why?"

"How can I man be so fool and let the one he loves go to other man? If he loves him, he should have hold her and never let her go."

Cheara nodded. "Hm. Really?" she responded as she ate pop corn.

"Why? I would do that if I was him."

Cheara stayed silent. Haden looked at her. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm okay," she said as she hugged him and rested on his broad shoulder.

"You know, for a moment you're scaring me with your silent."

Cheara laughed. "What are you talking about?"

"No, nothing,'" he said as he hugged her tighthly. "I wish this moment will never end."

Cheara smiled. "I know."

After a few days, they went to work separately. Haden still slept in her house everyday just like before. He was more protective of her until he told him that everything would be okay. She would not go anywhere. Until... his mother, Jessica, visited her again.

They went to a famous restaurant and her cold gaze never left her even when she spoke.

"So.." she started, "...Have you slept with my son?"

Cheara glared at her. "Is that suppose to be a question that a mother would ask?"

She shrugged. "Well, for me it's a yes. Since I don't want my grandson to be born from a poor lineage."

Cheara scoffed. "Huh."

"From your reaction I bet that you did it, huh?" she said as she took a cup of tea in front of her and sipped it. "I hope you use protection."

"What?" she glared at her.

"I don't want you to have my son's baby. If you want to have sex with him go ahead then. But don't bear his child. I want him to have a child from a noble woman."

Cheara clenched her fist and ready to defend her dignity when someone interupted them.

"Wow. You really are old school woman I've ever met, Mrs. Akio."

Cheara and Jessica turned their head and saw a handsome man wearing an expensive suit standing beside Cheara, Jovin Kenzie.

"Jovin."

Jovin smiled at her. "So we meet again."

Jessica glared at Jovin. "Who are you?"

Jovin didn't even look at her and grabbed Cheara's hand. "Let's go."

Cheara glanced at Jessica before she got up.

"I know you are a bitch," she said spiteful word at her.

Cheara grabbed the glass on the table and threw her tea at Jessica. Jessica got up in anger.

"What are you doing?!"

Holding her anger, she said. "Just like I thought. The colour of my tea suit your personality. And it disgust me."

Jessica widened her eyes, shocked by her bold words. Jovin smiled at her and pulled her away from Jessica, ignoring her screamed behind them. After they walked far enough, Cheara stopped him. Jovin turned his body to face her. Cheara was standing still as she held her arm.

"Who's that?" Cheara kept silent. "Who is that, Cheara?!"

"No one, so you don't have to concern yourself about my affair."

Jovin stared at her ans then he nodded. "That woman is your boyfriend's parent, huh?"

Cheara didn't say anything.

"How long?"

Cheara looked up at him. "What do you mean?"

"How long that shitty witch has been treating you like that?!"

"That's not your business."

"Cheara!"

"Jovin! I'm not yours anymore!"

Jovin looked taken aback and then he sighed. Cheara rummaged her bag and then he grabbed his hand and gave him, the ring he gave her before. "Don't concern yourself with me anymore. We're done for good."
