THE BUS RIDE

It was crowded in the bus she was riding. An old woman appears in front of her, the old woman was obviously having a hard time, she couldn’t stand straight and was bumping to people beside her. Seeing as how the older woman had a hard time, She stood up and offered her seat.

“Ma’am, you can have my seat” she offered with a smile.

The old woman looked at her with delight.

“ Such a kind soul, Thank you very much young lady” The grandma said as she get seated.

It was still a long ride before the young lady reach her destination. She stood there patiently.

A few minutes have gone by. The bus stopped and some people began to leave the bus but a few have also entered. The young lady’s feet began to weaken but then she felt a hand in her hips. She was startled and immediately looked behind her. She saw a man in a blue shirt smiling at her. She couldn’t step back nor move anywhere.

*“Your feet seems to get weaken”* the man said as he continued to smile at her *“I only helped you”*

The young lady just stood there looking at the man. She did not want to believe what he said. As it was obvious that wasn’t his intention.

The young lady ignored the man and patiently waited for the next stop. Only a minute have gone by when she felt air blowing in her neck. It sent shivers down to her spine as she looked behind her and saw the man smiling at her again while lowering his head. She couldn’t say anything.

“What?” The man asked

But the young lady was too scared and disgusted to say anything. She was getting teary at that moment but still took the courage to speak up.

“Please don’t touch me mister” She said while avoiding the man’s eyes.

The people at the bus began to look at them. Their eyes scared the young lady. It was as if their eyes were piercing through her skin.

“Huh? What the hell are you on about miss? Why the hell would I touch you?”

The young lady’s tears started to flow. She was trembling and couldn’t say something.

*“Kids these days really got nothing to do huh? Going around accusing everyone that their harassing them. Shameless **“ *one of the passenger said.

The old woman interrupted* “ Or maybe he really did harassed her, she wouldn’t cry for no reason”.** *The old woman stated.

The young lady still stood there without a single word, she continued to cry.

“Don’t get yourself worked up granny, that’s not your business. Don’t even think about getting involved” another passenger replied.

The old woman started to get mad. She stood up and was about to go to the man who harassed the young lady but the young lady grabbed her hand. She looked at her while crying and swung her head.

“It’s fine ma’am, please don’t get in trouble because of me” The young lady whispered.

It was another hour of silence before the young lady reached her destination. When she was about to get off, she heard one of the female passenger whispered

“I bet she was flirting with that man before”

The young lady got off with a heavy chest. She started crying again after the bus left.
