Chapter 5:The timing was pretty off

“Good morning everyone! I’ll wait for you at the entrance alright!”, Star greeted the girls.

“*Yawns & Stretches* Morning girls, *Wide eyed* Marinette wake up! Today’s the day girl!”, Alya immediately woke Marinette and the others.

“Oh my gosh you’re right! Marinette, you better wake up and prepare! We need to be serious about this, we can’t waste any time at all!”, Rose added.

“I’m just a little worried girls. I appreciate your help, really but... what if I mess up?”, Marinette worried.

“Marinette you can be a little clumsy, yes. But we all know that if you want something to happen you’ll get all serious and make it happen!”, Alix encouraged her, everyone agreed and got ready as well.

In the Carriage\~

“Sooo, what’s up with you guys? Why so, quiet?”, Star asked, cutious why everyone was suddenly quiet.

Everyone awkwardly laughed and denied, that there was absolutely nothing up.

Star was aware, very much so.

After breakfast, everyone wanted to have different stops for Adrien and Marinette to have their alone time.

“So where would the both of you be off?”, Marco asked them as they were running out of places to show them, both in Echo Creek and in Mewni.

“Uhm *Looks at Marinette*, I-uh think the pier might be an interesting stop, right Marinette?”, Adrien feels all unsettling.

“Yeah, I’d love to see it.”, Marinette simply agreed.

Star and Marco, dropped them off just like they wanted... but was keeping an eye on them\~

“Star, I love that you plan on helping them... but this isn’t the only way to do it!”, Marco told her after they parked the carriage and Star started snooping around.

“Marco, I know they’ll handle this smoothly... I just want to see how further they’ll take it.”, Star said as an excuse and was pulled away by Marco to get back into the carriage.

“NOOOOOooooo.”, Star yelled in the distance.

“I’m sorry if I came onto strong Marinette, I just really wanted to know you better. The real Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”, Adrien awkwardly expressed his thoughts.

“*Blushing* There’s really nothing more to see really... you always see the real me. We knew each other all this time after all.”, Marinette replied.

There was a short time of silence, but was broken.... thank god!

“Marinette, can I buy you something to eat? Or maybe we can ride different attractions a little after.”, he again asked all shy.

“*Slightly Chuckles* Sure I’d really love that.”,

Let me tell you guys something, do you know why the both of them never mention or joke about being Ladybug and Caht Noir while on their date?

Because... they are both wearing... EAR PIECE!!

“That’s a nice response Marinette! Don’t forget to ask little by little so you still have something to talk about if it gets all awkward.”,

While Nino\~

“Is Adrien Agreste finally shaken by a lady? Don’t forget to keep your cool once you’ve gotten her alone to yourself.”,

Adrien gets shy, and accidentally calls Nino’s name.

“Nino stop that!”,

“Did-did you say something Adrien?”, Marinette asked.

“No-nothing Marinette, I-just need to go to the bathroom.”, he walks up and goes to the bathroom to meet Nino.

While he was gone Alya approached Marinette and gave her tips here and there.

She was giving too much advice that Marinette gets more confused and asks her something she thought will upset Alya, but she’s more understanding than you think.

“Alya, ho-hold on. I appreciate your help, but I don’t feel like myself right now. I think I’ll be fine on my own, too don’t you think.”, Marinette told her honestly.

“I knew you’d say that! Just relax alright? I’m so proud of you Marinette just call me whenever you need help.”, Alya replied feeling proud hugged her, took off Marinette’s ear piece and left.

“*Inhales, exhales* I can do this! Calm down. *Exhales*”, she encouraged herself.

Adrien in the bathroom\~

“Nino, I’m sorry but I want to be myself Marinette right now, can I take off the earpiece?”, Adrien asked Nino nicely hoping he didn’t offend him.

“Of course dude, just call us if you need anything alright?”, Nino replied and shut off the earpiece.

Adrien walks out of the bathroom, to see Marinette getting hit on by some dude.

“Hey there, I thought you might feel a little lonely, why not take a tour with me?”,

“No-no thank you. I-I’m with someone, he-he just went somewhere.”, Marinette replied looking around for Adrien, holding back up a punch just in case he’ll show up a little late.

(Marinette is Ladybug y’all, she can handle herself ;) )

“Excuse me, she’s already here with someone who’s a little more in touch with his manners. If you excuse us..”,

“Uh-huh, what’s your manners going to do if someone-“, the guy was interrupted after receiving a punch from Marinette.

“*Blushes* Ma-Marinette, *Whispers* ta-take it easy.”, Adrien calmed her down and pulling her away.

“Remember that this girl doesn’t always need protecting!”, she yelled out of excitement and ran off with Adrien to one of the snack stalls.

They both laugh as they sat down, Adrien was admiring his Lady, “I really do love her.”, Adrien thought to himself.

“Marinette, I-uh *Blushes* do-do you want some popcorn, maybe some corndogs?”, he asked gettinga all shy, realising the love he thought he lost.

“I’d love that, thank you. By the way I *Blushes*, no-nothing *Smiles*”, they head to a popcorn stand then to the corndog stand.

They played games, took pictures, went to eat some more, then Adrien asked to ride the ferris wheel.

“The ferris wheel?”,

“Yeah, I never made it the last time when you went with Nino and Alya, I thought it might be a good a idea to ride one now... you know just the two of us?”,

Flashback\~

Poor Nino ☹️*

They ride ferris wheel, they both get texts from Nino and Alya.

Mari’s phone\~

“Look out Marinette, the fireworks about to start 😉”,

Adrien’s phone\~

“Thank me later for the set up my dude.”,

Suddenly fireworks lit up the sky, their eyes sparkled from the excitement and wanted to take advantage of that opportunity, just this once they felt greedy.

They faced each other slowly, leaned in.... I’ll just let your imagination lead you to where you wnat this scene to go.

They did it, they kissed by the way.

It was awkward for a moment but they managed to cool things down, thought it was pretty obvious that the date went smoothly.... since they arrived at the castle.. HOLDING HANDS!!!

Their friends were pretty happy 😉
