Chapter 2: The trip was... fine

“I can’t beleive your parents agreed! It’s just been so long since you hang out with us!”, Alya exclaimed.

“Yeah, I thought the same thing.”, Juleka added.

“Yeah Marinette! And besides* Whispers* this might be your chance to make a move on Adrien!”, Alix said while encouraging the others.

“I just want to have fun on this trip guys, just me and my girls. Making a move is the least of my worries.”, she blatantly lied.

In the inside she was panicking, she still had no answers on how to fix the “Lost Love” as Tikki and Plagg liked to call it.

“Come on guys we need to get on board already! We don’t have all day! Echo creek is waiting!”, Rose said to the others and pushed them into the entrance of the plane.

Everyone cheered, they were so excited to finally be complete as a group.

“Wait, I thought Nino and the others were coming. They might not catch up.”, Rose wondered as they arrived in their seats.

“They already boarded, there!”, Alya pointed to their left and saw the guys waving back.

“What about Adrien? I thought he was coming.”, Juleka asked.

“Nino just told me he will go, just up in his father’s private jet.”,

“Aw, too bad. Huh Marinette?”, Alix tried and tease her.

“Huh? Ah-yeah t-too bad.”, she answered without any care showing in her face.

Her friends knew something was wrong so when Marinette went to the bathroom, everyone started switching seats to get closer to her.

“What’s going on guys? Why aren’t you in your proper seats?”,

“Just sit Marinette. We all know something’s up. You seem lost whenever we try and mention Adrien.”, Alya explained.

She sat down and started to share what was bothering her.

“It’s just that, ever since I was struck with “Love Sick’s” beam, I started to question my feelings for Adrien. I started asking myself if my efforts were enough and if I should really involve my closest friends in trying and get his attention.”,

“Marinette, we don’t get “involved” we enjoy helping you. And don’t feel bad about dragging us into your little efforts, we choose to be there with you. So don’t even think about the fact that you’re wasting your efforts, Adrien just doesn’t realise how lucky he is to have you, but he soon will.”, Rose encouraged her.

“She’s right Marinette.”,

“Don’t push yourself to hard, we’re here for you, too.”,

“Rose is right Marinette.”,

“Thanks girls.”, Marinette hugged them and got all teary eyed.

Boy’s section\~

“You see that dude, that’s what you’ve been missing when you’re riding all alone in your father’s jet!”, Nino told him as he was holding up the camera for Adrien to see the girls chatting, and the boys waving at him.

“I know Nino. I just can’t convince my father to let me join you, I just hope he’ll agree for me to ride with you guys next time, or even let everyone ride in our jet.”,

“I know my dude, do you want to see the new game Max and Markov designed?”,

“I’m good Nino say hi to everyone for me!”, Adrien said and hung up.

In Son Père’s plane

“Adrien, again I’m sorry I couldn’t convince your father to let you join your friends.”, Natalie apologised.

“It’s alright Natalie, next time just let me do it myself. Anyways... I’ve been meaning to ask you this.”, he fidgeted and looked at her.

“Go on Adrien, is it about your summer homework?”,

“No-no, it’s something a little personal. I mean if someone... let’s say, my friend have somewhat questioned his feelings for his person of interest, and wants to find out how to “rekindle” the romance... uhm-what do you think he should do?”,

Natalie was left speechless, she doesn’t know what she could possibly answer. But she remembered something from one of Adrien’s requested romance novels. She had the answer.

“Adrien, I might not be the right person to give “your friend” such an advice so let me warn you of the consequences it might have if he happens to use it.”,

“I know you wouldn’t joke around when giving advices Natalie, why do you think I asked you?”,

She was flattered.

“If you find this useless at all, please consider asking someone in your friend group who you think is qualified. But for me, to rekindle or “find the spark” once again, is to do something you know that person you love will surely find comforting or interesting. If that doesn’t work, do what you think that might surprise them! Suprise them when they are at their lowest or at least be there for them when they need comforting the most.”,

Adrien was stunned, he was absolutely blown away.

“Thank you Natalie. I knew I was right to ask you.”,

“It’s comforting to hear that you find my advice helpful at all.”,
