How can my own mother choose a stranger over me simply because she showed her an ounce of kindness. I thought she was my ally and partner in crime. She stood up for me when everyone was against me, help me lick my wounds when l was heartbroken. I helped her make Dad jealous a couple of times. We are practically like a couple and now she's going against me and Dad too. Why is he even supporting her, am l not old enough to choose my own wife. Reggie thinking hard.

I know why Dad is backing her up. He wants to be in her good books, so now these couple have join hands to go against me.

"Backstabbing parents" forming allegiance against a poor soul like me.

I left for my house confused and angry, I couldn't sleep the whole night l woke up with dark circled eyes. I had a quick shower and stepped into my kitchen to make breakfast gosh l hate making breakfast but today is Thursday and it has been my tradition to eat home made food in the morning. Thus, when l heard the bell ring. I opened the door only to see my Mom came in and thank God she brought me food, she was and is my lifesaver but now l don't know what to classify her. I always had this special bond with my Mom, you can call me a mama's boy whuch am not buh l love my Mom so much. She understands me and always protect me from my Dad's wrath most of the times. I'm the only child of my parents so l don't have to share their love with anyone else. My Dad is very strict on me while Mom is loving and sweet. I never understood why Dad was strict on me until l was an adult myself. He only want whats best for me, he loves me too buh has a different way of showing it. Back to my mom, she served me breakfast. Judging from the looks she was giving me l knew she had something to say, so being a good son l asked her to say whatever that brought her to my doorstep.

Mom : Regi l know you are mad at me but see things from my perspective, you kniw you are my only son and l love you so much, l won't do anything to hurt you or make a decision that won't help you. Your father and l want what's best for you. I know all what you've been through in your past relationships buh trust me this girl is the beat for you. She helped me without knowing who l am uptil now and took care of me too. These are the qualities of a well cultured lady. She's a gem ( one in a million) and l want her to be part of this family thus, why l want you to marry her.

Reggie : Mom you are putting me in a tight corner, you know l love you buh marrying because you are fond of some chick is pretty barbaric. I am not a kid anymore. I'm not getting married and that's final😡😡😡

Mom : You are going to marry her whether you like it or not. That is my promise to you. I'll send you her pictures. Don't worry dear you will thank me later when someday she becomes your wife and I'll be waiting. I will tell you when the engagement is due just leave everything to your mother, just get ready.Have a nice day dear.

I left for work, today l had a busy schedule.l was in a meeting when l a notification pop up on my phone. Curiously, l looked at it and what a masterpiece? There on my phone is the most prettiest girl have never seen before, she has beautiful blue eyes, pointed nose and red lips with a curve shape like hourglass and her smile was so pure gosh she is an angel who just drop down from heaven, words could not describe the way she looked that was when l made my decision and that was to marry her. I changed my mind the moment l set my eyes on her picture l can't term this as love at first sight but l felt this connection like a pull drawing me torwards her, the whole meeting ended without me knowing what was said l keep on staring on my phone till my Secretary gave me a gentle squeeze on my arm that the meeting is over. My attention had been on the picture and the only name that kept on chanting in my brain was Christodia. I don't know what this is but one thing for sure is that this girl is gonna be my WIFE.
