Episode 10

Chapter 9

Oliver

I saw Aurora pass by, just as Loreto took my face in her hands and planted a kiss on me. As she did, I put my hands on her hips, but I couldn't take my eyes off the woman who was looking at me from the path leading to Ro's house. I could tell she was a bit disturbed by the scene she was witnessing; it seemed she didn't like seeing me kissing Loreto, I could see it in her eyes.

During dinner, I couldn't stop looking at her. She ate with enthusiasm, savoring everything and it was evident how much she enjoyed the food. Loreto was sitting next to me, just stirring the food on her plate. I think she only ate a plate of salads out of everything that was on the table.

When she tried to attack Aurora, I felt a bit annoyed by the situation. I didn't think she would respond with such intensity.

I could feel Kantz fluttering in my head, growling something I couldn't distinguish. But seeing her in that defensive position, I didn't understand what kind of feelings this woman was unleashing in me since I saw her in that bedroom.

Kantz: My little fatty has character.

Oliver: What did you say? My little fatty?

Kantz: Yes, that's what I said... She's MINE! \growls

Oliver: Stop talking nonsense, don't be foolish. You and I don't need anyone. \I end the connection and close it

I stayed silent for many minutes. When I looked around, everyone had their gaze fixed on me. Apparently, they had asked something, but since I didn't go back to the topic, the others continued with their conversation. However, Lucas wasn't willing to let it go and questioned.

"What happened? We lost you for a while."

"Nothing, I'm just tired. Today was a very long day, and Kantz won't stop spinning and growling meaningless words in my head," I explained.

"Mmm. Okay, and... can you tell us what happened with Ro's assistant? Because I could see her blushing when you two came in, and you haven't stopped eyeing her since we sat down to eat," he asked.

"Hahaha, I'll tell you, but not now," I replied. He nodded satisfied with my answer and continued with his own business.

That's how we were until 11 o'clock at night, when we finished eating and everyone got up. Lucas and Manu approached me so I could tell them everything.

"You guys are really nosy," I said with a laugh.

"Hahaha, you know us," Manu said, "now tell us what happened."

We walked away, and I started to recount the incident at Ro's house. They didn't hesitate to mock me. When it was around midnight, we said our goodbyes. Manuel walked ahead, deep in thought and I suppose tired.

"Good night, I'm going to bed. Tomorrow, the beautiful Lilly might want me to help organize the consultation, and I want to be as fresh as lettuce. I don't want those drooling sentinels all over her," Lucas commented.

"Hahaha, what's the problem with them looking at her? Don't tell me you've fallen for this Lilly?" I exclaimed. "Don't even think about falling for her. If your mate is nearby and you're holding back, I don't think she can resist you breaking her heart like that."

"Don't worry, I'm not like that. I won't try to make her fall for me. I'm just being kind, and if someone needs help, you know I'll be there for that."

"Mmm. Okay, see you tomorrow. Rest well," I patted his back and continued on my way.

I entered the house, in search of my sister, but I couldn't find her anywhere. I called her cell phone and even tried to connect with her through the link, but nothing worked. I decided to wait in the living room; it was around 1 o'clock in the morning, and she had left all her things here in my house.

Long minutes passed, and I had gotten up from the couch to call the sentinels on duty to go look for her, when the door opens...

"Can you tell me where the hell you were? I've been waiting for you for a long time. I thought the trauco had taken you!" I said exasperated.

"Hahaha, how ridiculous you are. Relax, I'm here. I came to get my things."

"Don't make fun of me, Ro. You know very well that creature exists," I said, feeling angry. And on top of that, she mocks me to my face.

"Brother, if the trauco looked like my Leandro, I'd happily disappear with him, hahaha," she burst out laughing. She's very content.

"I love seeing you happy at this point in the conversation my anger and concern had dissipated."

"For a long time I thought I would be alone, of course I'm happy, besides... now I went to his little cabin and... I kissed him! she says, squealing and jumping up and down like a child."

"I see that he returned your feelings I said, smiling"

"Yes! I invited him to take a walk by the river tomorrow, please, can you take Loreto somewhere so she doesn't bother us? she asks, pleadingly, with her hands clasped together and a pleading look on her face"

"If it means you'll continue being this happy, I'll do whatever you ask, little one I said, taking her cheeks in my hands and giving her a kiss on the forehead"

"Thank you! she stays pensive for a while, I plan on waiting a week to tell him about us, about how long I waited for him to appear, I'm scared, but I can't let too much time pass, I hope he accepts me."

"He will, I'm sure, and if he tries to run away, I'm willing to go to hell and back to find him. Besides, I think he fell in love with you at first sight. Now go get some rest, see you tomorrow I said as I hugged her."

"Goodnight, Oliver."

With a big smile, she said goodbye to me and left the cabin.

Internally, Kantz struggled to get me to go running with him, he had promised me, so I didn't think about it anymore and went out into the forest, took off my clothes, and launched myself into a run in my wolf form. I ran for long miles, hunted a couple of hares until the wolf opened the bond.

Kantz: What do you think of Aurora? he asks"

Oliver: Why do you ask? I've felt you restless since morning, and even more so after the incident at Ro's house."

Kantz: I like her, she's for me he responds bluntly"

Oliver: She's cute, but she's not our type. And we've only known her for a few hours."

Kantz: She's not only cute, and she is my type, she has flesh to hold onto, I get excited every time I remember her body, and she smells like caramel. he concludes with a growl"

Oliver: She can't smell like anything, she's not our mate, she's just a human and smells like one, I retort somewhat annoyed"

Kantz: No, it's not what you think, it's not that, I don't know how to explain it, but I could smell her, ever since we arrived this afternoon he says thoughtfully... come on, it's getting late, we need to go back."

After the conversation, Kantz closed the bond, but I could sense that he was overthinking about Aurora's scent.

We continued along the path that I knew like the back of my hand, and suddenly we found ourselves in the forest behind Ro's house. We hid among the trees and through one of the windows on the second floor of the house, we could see Aurora.

I could say that her eyes were swollen, she had been crying and looked very sad. Before we could turn around and continue on our way, she locked eyes with Kantz, opened the window without blinking. It was as if she could communicate with my wolf through the bond. At some point during the trance, she turned towards the door and I saw Lilly take her by the shoulders and pull her away from the window. At that moment, I turned around and continued my path back to the house, I needed to rest.
