Chapter 15: 1.14 First Small Star [Extra 2] – Horror Tale II

Xue Luli's narrative voice continues within that quiet room.

"Actually this University was rebuilt after that building was sealed off by an Exorcist 5 years ago. Rumors say that the exorcist also died in his house with his skin withered like tree barks and his blood is gone as if it was drained and his internal organs gone as well."

"The reason that the building is sealed off instead of being demolished is because those who tried to do so had all gotten an extreme bad luck. If not for their business suddenly getting bankrupt, the worse that happened is that they were murdered by unknown things. Since it couldn't be demolished the building was sealed off even until now."

"That's why it seems that within that abandoned building the numerous souls of those students and teachers who died on that one day could no longer leave the building."

"3 years ago, this rumor started spreading. It says the patrol group of the university sometimes passes by the south yard during their patrols. One evening during their patrol they said they heard voices of screams coming from the building. Those voices were so young and seemed to come from students. They thought that some student might have gone lost inside and decided to check on it. Their group entered the forbidden land and then... there was nothing. Only the shadow of something falling from the roof building could be seen. But when the patrol team check on it... there is nothing there~"

SILENCE.

There's a long stillness within the room. No one's voice could be heard, only the suddenly rapid breathing and uncontrollable heartbeats echoes inside the quiet classroom.

While everyone was in the state of silent fear, Xue Luli didn't even notice the shadow behind her and blew air to her ears which resulted in her goosebumps spreading all over her body and then she screamed with everyone else in surprise.

Fwoosh~

KYAAA!!

AAHHHHHHH!!!

A booming piercing cry reverberates within the room. Every student inside screamed except for the man who turned on the light inside the classroom which is Fu Lian.

Fu Lian who opened the close curtain inside the classroom said, "I'm going to collect the printout for study time." he said with a smile.

Gasp!

Clatter... Clatter...

Students scattered in panic thinking that they haven't answered a single thing on their printouts.

"Shit! I forgot to answer my printouts. Wuwuwu~"

"Same~ I got too lost in Xue Luli's story!"

"God me too! Sobs~ my grades is going to drop~"

Xue Luli on the other hand and gave her boyfriend an unfriendly look as she passed her printout. Fu Lian just smiled at her with a doting gaze.

"Geez~ the story is about to get interesting too... Stinky Lian!!!" complained Xue Luli.

Fu Lian coaxed his little princess. "Come on, Lili. I'll treat you in that café you love after school."

Xue Luli grinned when she heard this, "Fine~ Let's talk about the contents of the upcoming events as well."

"Upcoming events? You mean the local one?" responded Fu Lian while receiving printout from their classmates.

"Yes. That one. What do you think we should do, everyone?" asked Xue Luli to the crowd.

A student suggested. "Since it's ghost month can we just go ghost hunting?"

"Right! It's that time of the month. The Ghost Festival! It will be exciting to do ghost hunting at that time because ghosts are said to be active during that day."

Xue Luli murmured, "Ghost Festival. 15th of August. I guess I have to talk with the dean about this."

"I'll accompany you." said Fu Lian.

"Aya~ This two are spreading dog food again~"

"Stop! I'm overstuffed already~"

"Fufufu~ Let's go home early and leave the two love birds alone everyone~"

"Sure~~"

Their classmates decided to leave the couple to their own world while they gave them teasing smiles before leaving the room completely. Xue Luli was blushing red in embarrassment because she got teased by everyone. Fu Lian beside her was proudly smiling instead.

Seeing her boyfriend grin like that, she could only pinch him on his waist to show him that she's pissed.

"Ouch! H-Honey~ It hurts. Hiss~~" said Fu Lian as he twisted his body in pain.

Only when Xue Luli is completely satisfied that she let go of her fingers and freed the twisting man. As soon as he was freed, Fu Lian covered his bruised waist. Looking at his silly man Xue Luli gave him a peck on his cheeks.

"Eh?" said Fu Lian in shock.

Xue Luli smiled. "Nothing. I just feel that I like you a lot." she replied.

Fu Lian blushed a bit as he averted his head. Only his reddening ears show his current state of emotion.

Xue Luli chuckles as she holds her boyfriend's hands, intertwining their ten fingers.

"Let's go meet the dean. After asking a few questions about the local event let go on a date in that Café. You said it will be your treat bah~" said Xue Luli.

Fu Lian smiled at his girlfriend and replied, "It will be my treat, dearest princess of mine."

"Tsk! Stop being cheesy~" responded Xue Luli but her hand squeezed her boyfriend's hand in response. Fu Lian's smile widened when he noticed that and let himself be pulled by his girlfriend.

The couple visited the dean and asked about whether they could use the abandoned building for their local event. Though the building had a famous story, the students and staff in the university treat it as just rumors. After all the last news about this building was 3 years ago. After that nothing happened at all. There are lots of people who visited or stayed in that building before but nothing happened to them. So they just thought that the story was a farce and the rumors were false. This is the reason why the students were delighted as they chose the place as the location for their school event.

Xue Luli and Fu Lian were Third year's Student Council President and Vice-president this is why they were the ones planning for the local event their year would be doing. In this local event they could invite some people from the other division. If they wanted they could join. Even outsiders could if they had a relative joining the event.

"You wanted to use the abandoned building in South Yard for a school event?" asked the Dean.

Xue Luli replied, "Yes. If the dean would allow."

"Isn't that place haunted or cursed? Are you sure you guys are going to do your event in such a place?" asked the dean.

"Those are rumors. I had investigated the place. There are numerous people who come and stay in that place but nothing happened to them. They are still able to leave the place alive." said Fu Lian

Dean, "That is also true but..."

"Then we will let all those who agree to join the event to sign a contract about their safety. Is this alright, dean?" asked Xue Luli.

"If you guys planned this much then... Go ahead. But be sure to get the minor's parents signature before you allow them to join. And I will only allow an overnight stay and nothing more." said Dean.

Xue Luli happily agreed to those conditions and left the office with her boyfriend wearing a beaming smile. They've left the school after the preparations were done and left the school to have that date they planned to do.

Not knowing that the dean they've just spoken had been watching them leave the school premises from his office window. His eyes were lifeless as if something behind was controlling him. The dean is already an old man but the voice that resounds in the office is someone from a young age. A man's voice in his mid twenties.

"Heh~ the baits had been prepared. How many would be caught this time?~~ Hehehe~" The mischievous voice echoes within the darkness and no one knew whom it came from.
