Chapter two

By the time of the night, a tanned skin man entered Barry's office, his name is Elvis and he is one of Barry close friend.

"Hey! ". He greeted but Barry didn't answer. "Hello!! Earth to Barry!! ".

"Oh!! Hey when did you enter?" Asked Barry looking up.

"Just now. You look absent minded".

"Yeah got lost in this resume ". Elvis took the document and said "what is wrong with the resume? ".

"She looks so familiar "said Barry.

"She looks hot!! "Exclaimed Elvis. Barry gazed hard at Elvis. Elvis chuckled weakly .

"So tell me who is she?". They were staring at Palma's resume.

"Palma Jordan... "Barry brought out a old picture from his desk locker "we were in the same class in high school "Barry laughed evilly "she caused me emotional pain and even bullied me that made me go for a therapy. Now she is here and want to apply for a job" he smirked.

"What are you planning to do to that innocent lady? "Asked Elvis.

"Innocent?. She isn't. Tell Lillian to send a message to her saying she got the job"said Barry as he smiled wickedly.

Gustin walked inside Palma's house as he called her name "Palma!! ".

"Gustin am in the room. Come I need your help!! ". Gustin walked in her room and was presented with a mess. Her room was a whole mess with clothes, wigs, comb and make up every where.

"Gosh!! How do you sleep here? "He asked making his way to her.

"I need your help. What should I wear, formal cloth or casual? ".

"Why should I choose your cloth? Where are you going to? ". Palma smiled and said "I got the job!! "She squeal loudly.

"Am confuse here" Gustin scratched his messy blonde hair "which job? ".

"I got a job at Luxury design ".

"Wow!! Really!!... I thought you said they will never accept a ghost like you? ".

"Hey!! Quit teasing me!! ".

"Am not. Am serious right now" said Gustin.

"Maybe he got a change of heart. Now quit chatting and help. What should I put on, and my hair is so messy. Come on Gustin help me".

"Alright fine. Sit down I will do your hair. And put on the pink suit" said Gustin as Palma sat down.

"I hate pink!! "She protested. Gustin rolled his eyes "then wear the purple suit". Palma beamed and nodded.

"Geez!! What's the difference when they are still pink".

"Nop... Purple is darker". Gustin shook his head and started doing some magic to her hair. Gustin is also a stylist but he hardly do it cause it doesn't bring much money. He met Palma in college and ever since then they have been friends. People always wonder why two opposite Sex can be a tight friend but never dated since Palma is a beautiful girl and Gustin is also handsome. But through out those years they never feel anything except close buddies. And besides Gustin is a player who changes girls like socks.

The elevator stopped as Palma stepped out, she smile looking at the design room where she will be working from now on. She opened the door and walked in as she saw few ladies in the room. "Hey"she greeted but none replied her. Barry walked in with Lillian behind him. "Good day!! " they all greeted him but his gaze was on Palma. Palma shrink under his intense gaze. She wondered why he was staring at her, is it that they made a mistake while employing her. His staring took longer before he nodded to their greeting. "To test you guys skill I need the six of you to come up with a design. Palma will be the assistant of Sophia . Have a nice day" he said and walked away as Lillian give them the details of the design and left.

"Hello guys!! " said Palma happily.

Sophia stares at Palma scornfully. She thought why is Palma so beautiful than her and the way Barry was staring feels like he fell for her.

"What kind of relationship do you have with Mr. Luxury? "Asked a girl with a blonde hair named Kristen.

"I don't understand? "Said Palma looking confuse. "Well with the kind of gaze he looked at you.. Hmm" said a girl named Erica.

"Except that.. I heard we are meant to be five designers "said a brown hair lady, Gwen. "Come one guys!! Do you think someone like her will date our handsome Mr. Luxury huh? " said Jodi who look fierce and with a bad temper. Palma stood looking confuse. Did they misunderstand the gaze Mr. Luxury gave her cause to her it looked intimidating. And what is that girl saying that am too ugly for Mr. Luxury.

"P.. Pardon? "She had this feeling of being hated at first sight.

"It is a enough. We got work to do" said Sophia and they all started working on their designs leaving Palma alone.

During lunch the designer all headed down to the cafeteria were all workers in the company eats. Palma carried her tray of food as she headed to her co workers. As she was about sitting down Jodi sat down and said "sorry it is occupied ".

"But you weren't sitting there awhile ago "said Palma.

"Oh!! Am sorry, is just that I hate sitting close with people. So get out!! " Jodi yelled. "Ouch Jodi don't need to be rude. Come sit here " Kristen tapped the empty sit for Palma. Palma smiled feeling a little happy that it is only one of her co workers that looks friendly to her.

"Tha... "Palma was cut off as she was about sitting but got pushed out by her ' looks friendly to her friend ' mark the sarcasm. Her food got knocked out and fell on the floor with her as every one laughed at her. She was about getting mad but held it in cause Barry was staring at her with a mockery grin placed on his face. She feels out of place , everyone seems not to like her especially her handsome boss. She groans in frustration as she quickly picks her bag and dashed out of the place. Kristen saw a picture on the floor and she picks it up "isn't this not... "Before she could finish her words a lean fingers grabbed the picture. "M.. Mr. L.. Luxury!! " Kristen flustered as others was in shock. "Can you report yourself to Lillian . What you did was an inappropriate behavior "with those words he left the cafeteria.

Barry entered his office as he saw Elvis sitted on the couch with a cup of coffee and a magazine on his other hand.

"What are you doing here? "Asked Barry as he sat on his chair.

"I came to take you out for lunch"said Elvis keeping the magazine on the table.

"The way you put it sounds like we are dating. Sorry am not gay".

"And am not gay either. Come on you never go out and hang with girls. People may even think you are gay".

"You know my reason so why bring it up" said Barry as he folded his arms.

"That stupid phobia reason. Why will you be afraid of women?! Women are goddess you know!! ".

"You know what let's go out for lunch"Barry stood up and took his coat as he headed towards the door.

"Trying to escape the question Barry? "Said Elvis as he followed Barry out

"Is it working? " asked Barry as they headed to the elevator.

"Yep. Can never say no to a hungry man" Barry chuckled and shook his head.

" by the way what was the you were staring at? "Elvis asked as he looked at the picture. "Isn't it yours? About the girl who broke your heart. How did you put it, well never mind. You keep staring at it".

"Its... Never mind" they both entered the elevator.

"Sometimes I wonder why am still your friend when you keep so many secrets from me!! ". Barry gazed at the picture before putting it inside his pocket as Elvis kept nagging . Yes, the picture is the same with the one he have. But why is she with a copy if she doesn't know me... Or is she pretending??
