I have never thought that sound of the bell ringing could feel like heaven. I stood up from my sit, snarled at the dog. I darted towards the exit of the class. I felt a grip on my wrist, turning back, I saw the dog.
"Hey hey, don't be in such a rush. The name is Jasper Clark, not dog. I heard you muttering that nickname during class. Not the most pleasant thing to hear, how about pup or puppy? I'll call you my prince." He flirtatious smirk with his sly mouth. I wanted to punch him and swipe that smile. l clenched my jaw, pursed my lips. Turned around, and speed walked away. I did not know where I wanted to go, as long as I was away from that dog!
I found a nice place at the back of the school. A secret hide out? The flowers, the greenery, the grass, the whole scenery made me at peace. I dropped my backpack under an oak tree. I lay flat on the warm glass and my heavy eyelids, closed shut...
"Prince? Prince~ Why are you sleeping here? My prince~ Classes have ended ya know? You look so cute! I just want to squish your cheeks!" I gently opened my eyes, and pushed his face away with the palm of my hand.
"Ugh, go away, dog!" I scowled and crossed my arms. I caught a glimpse of the clock on the walls in the hallways, "5p.m.?! Classes ended an hour ago!" I got up from the glass, took my bag and hurried along.
"Hey, you alright?" his voice this time was sincere. Cold sweat fell from my forehead, he's going to be mad again, I thought to myself. My hand began shaking, my thoughts just overwhelmed me. What am I going to do? The dog, reached for my hand and held it tight. I did not push him away or anything, just glad.
"Do you have those type of strict parents? Ahaha, I'll bring you home, my prince." His grin was glowing like the stars, so beautiful. The dog followed me, that concerned look on his face.. Why..? It's not as if we're friends. I avoided his stares. I felt something tingle in my heart. He cared. Something about him, made me slightly calm. All the way, as I walked back to my house, he just followed me without a word. I am glad he did.
Looking up at my house made me shiver. I glanced back at the dog. He smiled. It annoyed me how precious his smile was. I nodded back to him as a thanks. He looked back towards me a few times, then slowly walked away. I could hear his steps and the softer his steps were, my heart raced faster. I grabbed the doorknob and twisted it, ready for anything..
...---...
Ah, it hurts..
I went to school today with bruises on my knees and a wound to my mouth, my hands were bloody too. I wore a black oversized hoodie, the only hoodie I had, thankfully. I looked around. Hm, the dog wasn't there. I sighed in relieve, but my heart did not seem that way. I missed him. I was planning on thanking him but nevermind..
During class, I caught his stares once in a while. Seems as though he was still concerned for me.
After class, he came up to me..
"Hey, what happened yesterday? did your parents get too mad?" He asked.
I tried grinning for the first time, "It's fine, I'm good." I guess he did not brought it. His eyes widened when he realised the wounds on my hands. I should have covered it better, dang it. He grabbed my hands. "Ouch!" I whimpered. He pulled me aside to the nurses room. He said nothing and just treated my wounds.
Finally, the suffocating came to an end, "Who did this?" He demanded.
I laughed it off, thinking I could change the topic but instead he stared right through me.
"I fell.." What a lame excuse. I could veins popping up on his forehead. He asked me once more, "Who did this? I'm serious."
"It's.."
