CHAPTER 2 : STEEL HEART WOMAN AND THE CHILD OF PROPHECY

MIDLAND, 1179- “I have weird feeling in my stomach” said Minerva, Millie Radovan’s wife. “Worry not, Milady. Only a week left before Sir Radovan back from his duty in Westime.” said Radovan’s housemaid, Lydia. Even though her maid tried to calm her down, she still paced back and forth thinking about her husband. “Milady. It’s already time. We should go to the charity centre.” Lydia reminding Minerva about her meeting with Social Welfare Department of Midland. As a noble family, their presence are meaningful to social activities.

“Lydia, can you watch Lewi while I am out” asked Minerva. Her maid nodded and took Lewi, a newborn baby to his cradle.

After Minerva dressed, she went to the Charity Centre by wagon drove by Midland’s Royal Guard.

After a while, they arrived to the Charity Centre nearby Midland Castle’s gate.

Minerva saw a Westime king’s messenger riding horse came towards her.

“Are you Minerva Radovan?” asked the king’s messenger. The question threw by him made Minerva nervous and she started to pace out.

She started to think a lot of possibilities about what will this messenger informs to her.

“Miss?” the messenger’s call bring her back from her deep thought.

“Yes.” Minerva answered while bowed.

“I am afraid that you have to follow me to meet the Midland King.” said the messenger.

Minerva asked“Is there anything related to my husband?”. The messenger don’t say a word and started to move. Minerva went the castle with the Royal Guard that drove her to the Charity Centre.

They arrived at the castle.

“My Lord. A messenger from Westime comes bring message from King Archembald.” said the Royal Guard.

King Dhabrail Anatoli nodded “Bring him in”.

The messenger walked towards the king and bowed while Minerva followed the Royal Guard to the side of the hall.

The messenger started to read the message:

“Dear King Dhabrail Anatoli, King of the Midland nation. I, King Archembald sadly report that our nation invaded by the devil and my son, Prince Reiner responsible for this problem.”

Minerva started to worry. “Devil? Westime nation collapsed? Don’t my husband in charge there? ”. Lot of question started to play inside her head.

One of the Royal Guard interrupted “Dark Realm is a fraud! Don’t waste our time here. You better leave at once.”

*smack* “Who say that you have a place to interrupt king’s message. Don’t make our force look like an idiot in front of our guest” warned Chief of the Midland Royal Guard while slapped him

“Devil invasion is a real threat to our world peace. Don’t Light Bearer is in duty as your temporary Royal Guard Chief in Westime?” asked king

The messenger continued:

“Furthermore, I would like to inform that our Temporary Chief of Royal Guard, Millie Radovan got killed fighting the devil to buy us time to evacuate”

“What?” the king was shocked while looking at Minerva.

Minerva started to lose herself. She fell unconscious. King’s maids took her to the restroom.

“May I humbly ask to continue?” asked the messenger

“Please.” answered the while pinching his head.

Before the messenger continued, King Archembald arrived and walked towards King Anatoli.

King Archembald hinted his messenger to leave the hall. He nodded and leaved the hall immediately.

“Anatoli. I want you to be king for my people that I brought here. I have neither power nor money to protect my people anymore. I fail as a king to educate my son. I know that’s too much to ask but please accept my request.*sob* *sob*” King Archembald begged with tears while bowed as low as he could. His son’s doing really hit him really bad.

“You are strong Archembald. You even came here by yourself without any guard. I am pretty sure that you didn’t show any emotion in front of your people.” said King Anatoli to calm him down.

“I will have words with you later. You must be exhausted from you long walk.”

“ Guards! Accompany our guest to his room and ask maid to prepare the best meal for him and Westime fugitives.” King Anatoli ordered his men.

King Anatoli went to a news room. The room that work as a recording room to record people giving speeches. After that, the record will be sent using wave magic and played by devices called Faber that been set all around the nation.

“Look! Our king going to give a speech” said one of Midland villager.

*crackle* Faber started.

“My people! Right in front of you. I King Dhabrail Anatoli have a message from Westime nation, verified by their own king.

About a week ago, Westime nation collapsed because of devil invasion.”

Villager started to panic.

“Devil? Are they really exist.”

“ What we gonna do?”

“Mommy! I am scared”

King Anatoli continued. “As the rumors say, King Archembald and people from Westime were already arrived in our nation. I would like people from Midland to show them sympathy with their lost. We can show our sympathy by sending food supply to the Charity Centre and they will manage it. That’s all from me. Farewell.”

*crackle* Faber stopped

“What are we waiting for, hurry up! King has given order!”

The villager started to gather food supply and went to the Charity Centre just like their king ordered

After nightfall, King Anatoli invited King Archembald to have a private meeting while dining.

“I made up my mind. I already called kings all around the world for a big meeting.” said King Anatoli.

King Archembald nodded.

Meanwhile, at the healthcare centre.

“Millie!” Minerva screamed right after she woke up from her unconscious. “How dare you did this to us? How dare you? How can you left before seeing your newborn son?” Minerva wetted with tears.

“Don’t say like that Minerva. He died for good. Died with honours.” Minerva monologue while slapped her face.

Minerva left the healthcare and went back to her manor.

A week later.

*clip-clop* Horses steps can be heard from all over Midland.

Kings from the whole world entered Midland from all entrances.

King Anatoli stand up. “My fellow kings, may I ask

your attendants to be excused from this

room. This matter is really highly classified and I

hope it’s understandable.”

“This way Misters.” Midland King’s Attendant

showed them the way before leaving the room.

Kings started to look at each other and smiled.

“Now we are alone.” said King Parameswara.

“Hahaha! I really hate formal conversation.” said

King Heinz while grabbing drink.

“Slow down Heinz or they will here us.*sigh* ”

sighed King Olabode.

“Follow me, I’ve something important to show.”

King Anatoli showed his secret magical device.

“ IMPOSSIBLE! You said it has only 1% chance to success.” King Heinz shocked and mouth sprayed his drink to King Olabode.

“Damn you Heinz!” yelled King Olabode

Meanwhile, in waiting room where the attendants were.

“Did you hear that! I think they fighting.” said attendant from Malac.

*sigh* Midland attendant slapped his head knowing what happened in there.

“Silent you idiot!” yelled King Kichiro.

They settled down after a while.

“*cough* Okay back to the point. I already finished it just in time after Archmbald reported the situation. As briefed, we now facing a huge disaster that can lead to world destruction. And we also lost our True Light Bearer, Sir Radovan.” King Anatoli rebriefed them about the situation.

“I heard that True Light will start possess other person about a century after the last bearer died. Unless, they had a child. That child will be the next True Light Bearer.” said Sultan Haroun.

“True! But did Radovan have any child, Anatoli?” King Vaska asked while helping King Olabode dry his cloths using heat and wind magic.

“Indeed he has. His name is Lewi Radovan, I visited his wife last night” said King Anatoli.

“Right now I want you, Archembald to put your magistone from your crown here” King Anatoli continued while pointing at a magic container.

King Achembald put his magistone and the device started to glow. *crackle* the device displayed a screen.

King Heinz pointing his hand to the screen.“Look it’s Westime but that’s not your castle right, Archembald?”

“Can you get any closer, Anatoli?” King Parameswara asked.

“I afraid not because the dark magic might interrupt our signal but it can be solved if we support the connection with light magic.” said King Anatoli.

Without saying any word, King Haroun used light magic to the device and King Anatoli zoomed in to the castle. What they saw is Radovan’s body in front of the Dark Realm portal.

Then, King Anatoli tried to get any closer to the castle and saw a black figure lying on bed.

“That must be Lucifer.” said King Vaska.

“His body must be really worn out. My prediction is he still exhausted from the fight because I can’t see any demon pawn yet. It’s mean, he is not waking up since his fight with Sir Radovan.” said King Kichiro.

All kings nodded agree with him while King Heinz nodded because he is really sleepy.

“So, I come to the conclusion that we need to prepare an army as soon as possible while he(Lucifer) is still sleeping.” King Anatoli made up his mind and all of them agree.

Sultan Haroun remind King Anatoli about the kid. “We still have to do something about the kid. We have to prepare for the worst. I think we must keep him under our former hero, Lidros.”

“That old man Lidros? Where is he now?” asked King Parameswara.

King Anatoli turned on the device back“Let me search him by using this device. Please hand me that sword Archembald.”

King Archembald hand him the sword and Anatoli started to find Former Hero, Lidros.

“That’s him. He is in your territory, Paramesara. How did you not know?” said King Anatoli.

All kings stared at King Parameswara.

King Parameswara threw his kris right in front of sleeping King Heinz. “That bastard sure know how to hide from me. Staying in my country without paying taxes.*sigh*”

“I will end this meeting here. Thank you for coming fellas.” King Anatoli ended the meeting.

Meanwhile, in Radovan’s manor.

Minerva having breakfast with her son. “ Poor Lewi. He is still young to face this sort of thing.”

“Mama!” Lewi said his first ever word and made his mother shocked.

“Ehhhh! Lewi already said his first word.” Minerva really happy and that was her first smile after knowing about Radovan’s death. Lydia heard Minerva’s excitement and ran towards her.

“Milady?” Lydia asked Minerva.

“Lewi said ‘mama’ just now” said Minerva.

“Really! What a clever boy we got here” Lydia complimented Lewi.

“What a cute little boy. Today Lewi will accompany Mama to the Charity Centre. Lydia will also follow us.” said Minerva while picking up her son.

Then, they arrived to the Charity Centre.

Lewi got really good attention from people around

“Is that Lewi? He’s so cute.”

“He will grow up as a fine man”

“He looks strong though”

Suddenly, a Royal Guard approaching them.

“Miss Minerva. King Anatoli would like to have a word with you. He also wants to see Lewi too.” said the Royal Guard.

Minerva, Lewi and Lydia went to the castle escorted by Royal Guard Escorting Force

“Your Majesty, Miss Minerva Radovan, Lewi Radovan and Maid Lydia answered your summon.” said Royal Guard Chief.

All of them bowed in front of the king. The king asked them to follow him to the meeting room.

“After my meeting with kings from all other nations. We decided that you will be transferred to Malac with your son. We need your son to be trained under Former Hero Lidros. Your son is the new True Light Bearer, so we need him to grow up as a warrior. Our world’s destiny is under his hand.” King Anatoli filled them with every single details.

“I’ve to be honest with you. I got feeling that our army won’t enough to defeat that devil and this kingdom will also collapse just like Westime. But as a king I won’t leave my people behind.” He added

“I understand. If there’s nothing else, we shall take our leave.” said Minerva
