All of the second year students have gathered together for this Years combine. The combine decides

What class you will be in and what rank and level you will start off with . The combine starts in second year. Professors and leaders of the school have lined up in the gymnasium along with The students to hear the introduction speech from Maximus regulus the appointed ceo of this years combine. Ms. Stacy Greene has just arrived right after TOBI ( she never comes to the combine as she is a science professor and doesn’t prefer violence) this is a surprise to other professors.

“Ohh what a surprise 🤨to see you here ms. Greene in your 3 years of working here you have never attended a combine . I thought you didn’t like violence?” Fujitora

“Very true principal fujitora but something…. Or someone has peaked my interest this year so I will tolerate it for scientific observation📓📝” Ms. greene

“Hmm I wonder who it could be …. Also I told you to call me Fuji ms. Greene you don’t have to be so formal.” Fujitora

“My apologies principal . Fujitora… oh it’s about to start.” Ms. greene

“😐🤦🏻‍♂️🙄right”. Fujitora

Students are lined up in alphabetical order from a-z so TOBI was somewhere near the front middle section . He could hear clearly though because he had really good senses better than normal humans. Students were talking amongst each other wondering what this years combine will be like.

In total there are 533 students at this school which by the way it’s name is vermillion hero acedemy . Students come to attend after high school. That is a relatively low number compared to other schools and that’s mostly because it’s harder to get in and stay at hero training schools. Most students start at the age of 17-18 and attend for four years . There have been students who start attending at a younger age . Some leave high school early beCause of grades or intelligent to move into the academy of heroes. There are about100 -200 students in each year group.4th years having the lowest of 115 students. 3rd years have 128 students second years have 140 and 1st years with the most of 150 students. It’s a huge school built in valley near mount acronis with about 100 acres of land for school the and training grounds it’s along without another 50 acres of wildlife surrounding it, privately owned by vermillion corporation alliance.

‘This is kind of prestigious idk how I got in it . I’m surprised I even passed the entry exam . And now here I am getting ready to go into the combine for class ranking. Damn I hope I can hide my demon mark I have special magic bandages wrapped around my body to conceal any magic eyes or X-ray vision but if it comes undone I’ll be in trouble. *puts right hand up to chest where his mark is and looks around * . I see Rachel and Lisa already made it here before me well hopefully I don’t have to fight one of them that would be embarrassing and an automatic loss on my behalf there’s no way I can fight the elements . *looks around some more* I see a couple strong people I would like to fight hopefull I get some easy fights to move me on .’

( Maximus regulus approaches the podium).

*taps microphone*

“Is this thing on…ehh emm *clears throat* welcome to this years combine led by .. well me haha I’m Maximus regulus as you all know . The “gym teacher” is what you can generally describe me as I will be handling your physical training and upkeep this year as well as the combine. Anyways straight To the point this year‘s combine will consist of three test , over a week.” Regulus

Girl next to TOBI whisper towards him

“Hey why do you think the combine is held over a week if it consists of only 3 tests” unknown

“I don’t know as long as I pass the test I don’t mind. ”TOBI

“Sounds like the nocholant answer you would give your the new kid right uhhh kaito ….izanagi right?”unknown

“ yeah how did u know my name?”tobi

“Wow you really don’t pay attention , that or Rachel and Lisa are always distracting u but I am in your home room I sit 3 desks to your right I’m Ana kairo” Ana

“Oh right yea u looked familiar” Tobi

“Haha ‘look familiar’ we have been in the same class for days now but ok . You should learn to be more friendly when people try to talk to you” Ana

The conversation ends there. Regulus calms the crowd down and continues speaking

“The first day of the test will be individual battles. Testing your strength and abilities in a one on one situation. “Regulus

*More clammering amongst students*

“I know I know ,things are different and tricky each person will fight 3 people at random in 1 v 1 battles giving everyone a fair chance to move on to the next days activity. Most people will have multiple matches. Those who are eliminated will be removed from the combatants and put into a respective class other than hero. Namely : Support, Medic, Intel .In order to be put in the hero class you must finish all three tests. Battles will be balanced According to power so there will be no unfair battles …we’ll almost none.” Regulus

Most students and teachers understood what that last part meant , the only person that would have an unfair battle was Izanagi because he has no power.

*clears throat*

“After the first day 50 students will be eliminated determined on losses and logical assessments of powers. At the end of that day the second test will be announced where you will partner up with other students for a team vs team battle showing your ability to work with a team leadership and role playing. On the second day said teams will train and build team chemistry. On the third day the team battles will be held. There will be 30 teams of 5 teams each. At the end of the day 50 more people shall be eliminated adding to a total of 10 teams meaning not every losing team will be eliminated some will have a chance to move on depending on how they did. Leaving 100 people left which sets us up for our 4th day……

Drumroll please……..*Kids begin stomping there feet in a drumroll type beat*……The fourth day will be an all out battle royale.” Regulus

Students start going crazy with laughter, excitement sadness and frightfulness so many students had questions and others were just ready to fight.

“ Now I know you are full of anxiousness and excitement but we are only taking 100 students into the hero course this year we are looking for quantity over quality but we are also limited with teachers. We unfortunately had a surplus of new students this year. 200 applicants made it in this year an all time high number of new students. But with that said as I stated before we will only accept 100 into hero course.

You are probably wondering if we are taking 100 why not end it on the second day. Well that’s because even though only one person will win in the battle royale we will take the top 50 survivors as heroes automatically no questions asked

But the 50 who got eliminated first will have to fight for there spot . The 50 that lost in the second day will have 1 chance to fight 1 out of the 50 eliminated during the royale .

Those of the 50 who win there battles will become part of the hero course those who lose will be replaced.

Those who lose this day and on the second and first day will all be placed in corresponding groups, namely: Support, Intel , Medic.

U may ask why give the second day people a chance again ?

That’s because people that may have won on the second day may due to others efforts or the enemy’s mistake .

So in this battle royals everything goes u win or u lose you cheat or fight with honor u hide or you fight .

This time ur choices will be the only tho I get that get u into the hero course. The people u trust, the people you attack , how you attack , how you defend how you survive those choices will decide if you deserve to be a hero.

For the battle royale rules as I’ve said before everything goes but killing. You are out when you either give up or are knocked unconscious and have no way of re entering the fight.

Oh and I almost forgot. The winner of the competition gets two special prizes . 1 is access to the classified section of techniques abilities and magic items that the school has stockpiled over the years. And 2 personal trading sessions with me Maximus regulus for the entire year.” Regulus

The crowd goes silent these two prizes were almost unbelievable not only will u be able to access the classified room which alone can turn a regular human into a top grade superhero but also training from one of the countries maybe even one of the worlds greatest superhero’s.

“ Now Remember every hero make his own path no matter how they go there the world still views them as a hero because they made a contribution to society so make your path , make your contribution!!” Regulus

That was the end of the introduction afterwards everyone got ready for the first days activities. There was a lot of movement and chatter. Some people stood around talking about the prizes and what hey would do if they win . Other we’re getting ready of individual fights and preparing there gear.

. The individual battles get rid of all the non fighters and non combatants right away. This will pick out the people who are trying to be heroes when they can’t or shouldn’t be.

Tobi sits over to the side on one of the bleachers and contemplates his next moves.

‘What do I do ?

Do I just lose and stick with being one of the other classes?

No I don’t have any special skills or super intelligence and I’m not that good with my hands I couldn’t make it in that class. Im strong that’s it so all I would be good at is fighting .

So how do I win?

If I’m stuck with any powerful person it’s over….

There sat a 6’5 brown skinned black haired brown eyed boy with a giant axe with gems implanted in it on his back. He already had armor and gear on ready for his 1v1 so I assume he was one of the first to retrieve his gear. He was very muscular and toned with a deep but passive aggressive voice.

“About the matches since you have no powers and all.” Unknown

“Well I wouldn’t say that I have no powers I would simply say they haven’t manifested” Tobi

“Oh is that right well regardless unless they manifest now or very soon you have no power” unknown states smugly

“Correct” tobi says slightly annoyed

“Hmph…put on the act all u want but we will see in the stage” Unknown

“I geuss we will …..I didn’t get your name” Tobi

“Huh..oh it’s Alexander my friends call me alex but your not my friend” Alexander

“Right ….Alexander I’m-” Tobi

I already know who you are everyone does . The boy who has no powers your an anomaly there is no one with no powers even if just a basic enhancement everyone has powers.” Alexander

“Like I said they are manifesting” Tobi

“Well you better make it happen or your done” Alexander

Alexander walks away to the waiting area where students will get called up to fight. While they were fighting matches had already begun.

Matches have a timer of 15 minutes because there were a lot of fights that needed to happen in one day.

Tobi continues to ponder in silence zoning everything out focusing on one thought
