Our days

Another day passed quickly

It’s Saturday today I wanted to sleep a bit more right after I turned down my alarm

but then a text message popped up my phone

It’s from Jay

‘Hi Kyr, would you mind spending your day with me?’

Something inside me made me jump out of bed immediately

‘See you Kyr'

I quickly fixed myself and went out

As soon as Jay saw me he waved his hand and ran towards me

“Hi do you need something?” I asked excitedly

“Um… I was bored at home” he replied nervously

I took his hand and dragged him to a chocolate store nearby and we started our day dragging each other to different stores we see.

We took pictures from a photo booth

“Come on just one ugly photo” I said excitedly

We posed for our last picture and it came out cute

“Hey I said UGLY!” I said as if I was annoyed

“It is” He replied

“You look good here” I screamed while pointing at the picture

The silence wrapped us for a while…

“Let’s go now?” Jay said as he cleared his throat

We ended up spending the night by the river; we bought some various street foods and began talking again about our families and also gossiping about the people at school

Two Introverts being loud and fun when

they’re together, that’s how the kids at school describe us.

Weeks passed and we became much closer each day

Every day we discover new fun things to do together, we run around

Study together, eat somewhere, Have a good piggy back ride, and play in the rain

And that went on for the whole year

Every morning I pass by his house to pick him up

And after school he would drop me home and go on his own.

The 2nd Year was less stressful, this time we sat much closer together He sits in

front of me because of his eyesight, every after class he asks me to go out and

take a walk with him and come back when another teacher comes again

That goes on every single day…

“Let’s go back now Jay my legs are tired” I complained

He looked at me then sat down in front of me offering his back for a piggy ride

“What are you doing?” I said almost laughing

“Giving you a ride” He insisted as he patted on his shoulder

“People will see us Jay”

“They won’t care” He said as he pulled me closer to his back

He carried me and walked to our building

“You’re too slow” I joked

He smirked and began to run

I shouted in shock and began to slap his back softly

“I’m just joking Jay” I shouted

He just laughed the entire time

I really had a good time.

As soon as our last subject finished Jay took my back and said “We’re going somewhere Kyr” He smiled.

I just followed him as we exited the school

He brought me to the beach which we visited on our first day

“Kyre, remember our first visit here, it was my first time visiting the beach alone, It felt good Kyr as if I was rebelling from someone.” He sighed and looked at me

I also looked at him proudly, I then held his hand

“Let’s have fun today Jay” I said excitedly

I pulled him towards the beach and pushed him towards the water.

Our clothes were soaked and we walked down the road looking for a bus that would

take us home, it was quite late so we already expected no buses by that time.

We then saw a guesthouse and decided to spend the night there

“You guys are soaking wet” The receptionist shockingly asked, we laughed at her reaction

“Can we have two rooms please?” Jay asked. The receptionist looked up at their system

and said “Oh, Sorry, we only have one room left”

Jay turned to look at me maybe he was waiting if I would still want to continue

I nodded to let him know I’m okay with it.

The receptionist then gave me the key so I could wash up and get warm

I then overheard Jay talking to the receptionist asking if we could borrow some clothes just for the night.

I went inside the room and Jay followed after

He handed me the clothes and said “Wash up now so you could sleep early”

After I took a shower I immediately asked him

“Where are you sleeping?”

“I asked for extra sheets from the receptionist, I’ll just sleep at the floor” He replied with a bright smile

He laid down the sheets on the floor and I helped him set the pillow

“Thanks, you should sleep now Kyr”

I nodded and rested at the bed, I was a bit concerned if he would feel comfortable.

He groaned as he lay down.

And he suddenly laughed

“Why, Jay?” I asked

“Nothing I just had lots of fun today” He said probably smiling

“I’m more than happy too, Jay” I replied

“I like you Kyr, Good night”

I was shocked, as if a school of fish passed through my body

“Good night Jay” I replied smiling as I closed my eyes.
