Chapter 5, Encounter

BOOOOM

“The sky turned a lustrous color of green, it started pouring of an unfamiliar substance, at first I suspected that it was rain but I quickly dismissed that notion because water is clear and these raindrops were green”

“Everyone, seek shelter immediately! This is an attack!” Inei warned the civilians

BOOM

“ANOTHER ONE” Asahi screamed

“It’s on the east coast, let’s go, Asahi,Korudo.” Inei said

Asahi Inei and I rushed to the east coast of the island to stop the attacker

“By the looks of the weather around us and this burning acid type raindrops it’s safe to assume two things, 1. This person has acid powers specifically hydrochloric acid so we have to be very careful when we take any steps cause he could very much burn us, and 2, This is pretty obvious, but his rank is a Green, so he shouldn’t be much of a threat, but he won’t be easy to deal with either” Inei informed the both of us

“So what’s our plan?” Asahi questioned

“It’s simple, Korudo you will be the decoy, you’ll try your best to distract him, use any method you like, Asahi you’re going to hide in a tree and as soon as I release breeze of wind, release your arrow straight at his eye, he’ll be too focused on the arrow to notice me, that’s when I’ll come behind his back and capture him.”

“Got it” we responded

We were nearby when we heard insane laughter and decided to investigate it. When we looked up, we saw a man floating in the sky, dressed in a long crimson coat with black stripes down the bottom, three rings on each hand, and a necklace with the letter "B" engraved on it.

“DIE, ALL OF YOU,” the man exclaimed, maniacally laughing.

"Looks like he’s the one," I explained.

“Now’s our chance” Inei gave the command.

We all took our positions: I'll approach the man and try to distract him, Asahi will perch on the branches and wait for Inei's command,and Inei is going to hide and when the perfect moment strikes he’s gonna release the wind current and that’s when we’re gonna capture him.

As he was causing acid explosions, I proceeded to walk up to him.

“Yo” I said

“Huh?” He took a peek around to see where I was

“Right here” I said

“You’re a bold kid approaching me like that,but it seems like,YOU WANNA DIE!”

Swooop

He rushed at me with such force that the ground shook and I could feel the vibrations throughout my body, but that was only physically; emotionally, it was a completely different feeling, one that I hadn't felt in a long time,I wasn't terrified, worried, or anxious, in fact, I was,

I WAS EXCITED

Using a 100% of my strength I bounced off the ground as he was accelerating at me with an acid type of smoke covering his glove, using every single joint in my body, I propelled to dodge him, and I did, or so I thought, I slid past him but what I didn’t know was that he had a weapon, a weapon known as the spear but his spear was unique, his spear had a sharp tip, green round crystal type things embedded on his spear covering the bottom of the spear.

I activated my power, Red Lightning in that moment of tension, the lightning covered my entire body using it as an armor, since I’ve never really fought anyone and barely used my powers, this was a completely new thing to me, it covered my body like it had a mind of its own, it felt as if I awakened my lightning to a form of personification, I became much faster, stronger, lighter and my reflexes were considerably quicker

Red Armor was the name I gave for this ability, I tried to dodge yet again but the spear was already too close that I couldn’t, it tried to penetrate through armor and slash me but luckily my armor protected me because the spear just fell to the ground.

“Well, looks like your weapon didn’t work that well” I taunted him

Attempting to kill me again, he rushed at me again, I smirked and thrusted towards him as well.

SWOOOSH

A burst of wind came through meaning it was time.

Swish

Asahi launched his arrow at him, the man's eye flickered as he saw the arrow coming at him. To divert his focus away from the arrow, I produced a bolt of lightning from my palms and directed it at him.

He caught the arrow just in time, but the burst of lightning rushing at him knocked him back, out of nowhere inei came behind him with his dagger on his neck.

“Don’t move” inei warned him
